Hydraulic power transmission device, in particular for vehicle brakes. In hydraulic Krafttransmission devices, such as those used for vehicle brakes, there is a need to install a device in the hydraulic line system that compensates for any pressure medium losses that may have occurred and removes any air that has penetrated during operation. In known designs, this is achieved by
that the piston in the master cylinder exposes an opening in the cylinder wall in the last part of its backward stroke, which opening is in connection with: an expansion tank.
This solution has the disadvantage of taking up a substantial part of the piston path which is lost for the transmission effect. Furthermore, if there is a loss of pressure medium, a negative pressure occurs in the hydraulic line
which because of the possibility of air entry - is undesirable. According to the present invention, these disadvantages should be avoided in that the access of refill pressure is not made dependent on the piston travel but on the overpressure prevailing in the hydraulic line system.
Fig. I of the accompanying drawings shows a schematic embodiment of the invention, while Fig. II shows an example of a practical embodiment.
The hydraulic power transmission device has the piston 2 located in the master cylinder 1, which delivers the pressure medium to one or more receiver cylinders 12 via the line 11 going out from the connection 10. On cylinder 1 there is a secondary cylinder i; arranged in wel chem a piston 4 is fitted. The piston 4 rests on a D.ruakfed.er 5 under the action of gravity or a counter-spring, not shown.
In the position of the piston 4 shown, the cylinder 1 is through the throttle channel 7 via the line 18 going out from the connection 9 in connection with the compensation tank 14, which is partially filled with pressure medium. Emotional.
the piston 2 moves to the right under the action of an external force in cylinder 1, then results from: d:
ie throttling occurring in channel 7 in cylinder 1, an overpressure which is transmitted through openings arranged in the closing plate 6 to the underside of piston 4 and moves the same upward, where it connects to the base of the secondary cylinder by striking Expansion tank 14 interrupts.
In this position of the piston 4, the hydraulic line system is able to transfer forces from the master cylinder 1 to the receiver cylinder 12. When the piston 2 falls, the auxiliary piston 4 remains in the final position until the restoring forces in the receiver cylinders 12 disappear.
At this time, the further back going of the piston 2, the overpressure in the cylinder 1 is canceled, whereby the piston 4 falls back on the spring 5 and the connec tion with the expansion tank 14 restores.
In the event of greater pressure medium losses, the throttling in channel 7 would be so great under certain circumstances when piston 2 retreats that, despite the connection with the discharge container 14, a pressure below atmospheric pressure could arise in cylinder 1, which would allow air to enter .
In the present case, the pressure decrease continues on the underside of the piston 4, whereby the same compresses the spring 5 and moves downward until its upper edge releases the channel 8 through the liquid column of the line 13 and the container 14 on it.
This channel 8 has a sufficiently large cross-section to allow the pressure medium required for refilling to pass through without further throttling. After refilling, the auxiliary piston 4 goes back into the designated center position.
The device according to Fig.II corresponds to the operation and structure of the device according to Fig. I. The secondary cylinder 15 is placed here in a screw joint total master cylinder. It contains the Nebenkol ben 16, which in the drawn central position, the throttle bore 20, which corresponds to the channel 7 in Fig.I, keeps open and the passages 19, which are equivalent to the channel 8 in Fig.I, covers. The end plate 17 serves as a support for the.
Compression spring 18 and has one or more openings for the passage of the pressure by means of. 21 is the line to the expansion tank and 22 is the screw connection for the same. The auxiliary cylinder is advantageously arranged at the highest point of the main cylinder so that any air that has penetrated is automatically removed.
But it can also be turned on at any point on the Lei device 11 or a receiver cylinder 1.2. Likewise, several auxiliary cylinders can be applied at different points in the hydraulic piping system using one or more equalizing tanks.
