Eine derartige Einrichtung ist zum Bei spiel anwendbar auf Leistungsschalter, bei denen ein Leistun.gsschaltkontakt mit einem Trennkontakt in Reihe liegt, wobei der Trennkontakt räumlich mit dem ;

Nach einem gewissem Weg des Kontaktes zwird das Ventil y mechanisch betätigt, das durch Freigabe einer viel grösseren Aus-strömöffnung den Drucka;
Device for automatic restart of electrical switches. Electrical circuit breakers are often set up for automatic reclosing, which becomes effective after an automatic trip due to overcurrent or short circuit.
Since experience has shown that in the majority of cases the fault causing the trip is of a temporary nature, i.e. disappears again after the voltage has been removed, it is in the interests of the shortest possible interruption:
the energy supply to quickly turn the switch back on. However, if the switch triggers again automatically after the first restart, this indicates a longer duration of the fault, which respectively without interruption of operation. Decommissioning: taking malfunctioning lines or apparatus cannot be remedied.
For this reason, any further attempts that follow the first attempts to switch on again are always carried out with a time delay that is determined and set in advance and gradually. : aligns with the operating conditions.
According to the present invention, which relates to a device for the automatic reconnection of electrical switches with at least two movable contacts, automatically acting locking means are available,
which suspend or limit the mobility of individual contacts for the duration of an automatic trip and subsequent reclosing.
Such a device is applicable, for example, to circuit breakers in which a power switching contact is in series with an isolating contact, the isolating contact spatially with the;
Switches can be combined or set up separately, or on circuit breakers in which of two or more power contacts closing the circuit normally all move when they are switched off, but under certain circumstances in different ways.
The latter type includes the one in Fg. 1 of the accompanying drawing s, erstatis.ch. The illustrated embodiment of the subject of the invention, namely: the: the performance shown: o holder a Druekluftsohalter. In Fig. 1:
a Compressed air drive with the air pressure tank u, the switch-on and switch-off cylinder b, the switch-on valve c, the release control valve f and: the limit switch d:
k control switch, r delay relay, i. Control current source, g IT main valve, rzz relay with closing contact, p holding contact, q shut-off valve, s, and s2 relays of the restart device, t auxiliary switch, x a controllable vent, y quick-closing valve, z, round z_ switch contacts.
The normal switching function of the device shown is as follows: To switch on, the contacts 1.1 and 12 of the control switch k are closed by pressing the operating handle, or the armature v of the switch-on control valve c is operated by hand. In both cases the control valve c opens and allows compressed air to flow under the piston in cylinder b,
whereupon the switch turns on and the circuit (not shown) closes via contacts z and z. The contact z. is held in the switched-on position by a spring-loaded pawl 15 , which is released when switched off by compressed air. Shortly before the switch-on position was reached, the latching of the magnet armature of the limit switch d was released.
Since its solenoid has been excited at the same time as that of the on-off valve c, the armature is attracted and interrupts the current through the solenoid v of the on-off valve c. The circuit remains open as long as the control holder k is pressed, which prevents the switch from pumping if it immediately triggers again automatically after being switched on on a short circuit.
To switch off, the coil of the release control valve f is energized via the contacts 12, 13 of the @Control holder k, whose actuation handle is first turned to the right position and then, pressed w = orden, energized or the armature of the valve f is actuated by hand. The valve f allows compressed air to flow through the piston of the main valve g, which also opens.
The return air now flows through the two connecting pipes (valve q open) into cylinder b and into the holding chamber surrounding the contacts z and z. Both contacts start moving in opposite directions, where the contact z moves faster than the contact z2 due to its smaller mass.
The arc created between these contacts is usually melted by the air flow at the next zero crossing of the current. A second interruption point can be mechanically, pneumatically or electrically coupled to the contact: z..2 (e.g. the moving contact of an air separator). but which is not shown for the sake of clarity.
The current through the coil zc of the release control valve f was interrupted earlier, that is to say after the main valve had opened completely, at the air contact t.
The control valve f has therefore closed again, and the compressed air trapped above the piston of the main valve g begins to evacuate via the still open valve y through the vent opening x in the control valve f.
After a certain path of contact, the valve y is mechanically operated, which by releasing a much larger outflow opening, the pressure a;
bfasl accelerated in the upper piston chamber of the main valve g. As soon as the pressure in that piston chamber has dropped sufficiently, the difference in the air pressure effective on both sides of the valve disk and any additional return spring that may be present cause valve g to close. This significantly reduces the duration of the glass and the consumption of blown air.
As soon as the pressure in the switching chamber has dropped sufficiently, the quick contact z also moves back to its starting position under the influence of its return spring. The contact z2 has meanwhile moved to its lowest position, so that the full interruption distance between the two contacts is available. The switch remains in this position. The circuit of the coil w was "in contact t" interrupted before it was reconnected at contact t.
Automatic shutdown with immediate ger restart. The switching functions run in a different way if, when the switch and control switch k are turned to the "on" position (as shown), the overcurrent relay m responds and closes its contact.
Simultaneously with the coil w of the switch-off control valve f, the left coil of the shut-off valve q is also excited in this case via contacts 7 and 8! Of the control switch k, which shuts off the pressure line to the drive cylinder b. Since the main valve has not yet opened and there is no counter pressure, little force is required for this. Shortly afterwards - as described above - the main valve g opens and lets compressed air flow into the switching chamber.
The quick contact z ,, opens, and the wire arc is extinguished by the blowing current. At the same time, however, the auxiliary switch t controlled by the main valve g has also interrupted the current through the release control valve and switched off the excitation winding of the valve q without interruption. And switched on its (right) holding winding.
At the same time: the reclosing relay s, has been energized, which starts the motor 5 of the reclosing relay s, and lasts through contacts 1 until: the motor current is taken over by contacts 2 and! Contacts 1 open.
The relay s, in conjunction with contact 1 of relay 82, thus acts as a relay with delayed dropout. .As soon as the release control valve f has closed again, the air above the piston of the main valve g is emptied through the ventilation opening x of the valve f. by cutting the cross section of this Makes opening controllable, you can choose the point in time at which the main valve g and thus also the contact z. begin to close again.
The tendon ejection device (valve y) does not come into action this time: since yes: the lower contact z2 does not move. In order to give the Liehtbogenbahn the opportunity to dejomize the short-circuit, the time of the first reclosing will generally not be shorter than 0.1 seconds and the regulating screw will be adjusted accordingly.
With the closure of the main valve g, the auxiliary switch t has also returned to its initial position and interrupts the holding current of the valve q, which falls back and re-establishes the connection to the AusseUalt- cylinder b.
In addition, the closing of the circuit via the trip coil preparatory contact t has been closed again, while the circuit via the excitation winding of the valve q on the relay s remains open, since contact 1 is still closed.
If the short-circuit current starts again after the closure of the quick contact z1 and the relay m responds again, this time the shut-off valve q is no longer energized.
So there is a normal switch-off, in which both contacts z. and move z2, and after closure; the blown air, the contact z, returns to its initial position, while the contact z2 remains in its open position.
Automatic switch-off with subsequent gender, delayed switch-on. The above-described one-time, immediate automatic restart by the closing movement of contact z1 has been achieved solely by controlling the blown air.
If it was unsuccessful and: the switch opens again automatically, with the contact z, now also opening and remaining open, further restraints can only be made by actuating the switch-on control relay, like the 9 above in the paragraph about switching on was described by means of the control switch.
Since it is often customary to make such further restart attempts automatically, but with a time delay, relay s5 is provided with a contact 4 which closes the circuit through coil v of switch-on control valve p at adjustable times.
Switching to permanent short circuit. If the switch is open and switched to a line on which a short circuit already exists, a temporary fault is not a prerequisite. present and an immediate automatic restart should not take place. Switching on in the event of a short circuit can be carried out either by means of a control switch or by operating the valve, or automatically by contacting the relay s .. for delayed restart.
In order to avoid an immediate restart in all these cases, the circuit through the (left) excitation coil of the shut-off valve q must be interrupted before the contact of the trip relay closes. This is the purpose of the relay r with opening contact, which has momentary pick-up and delayed release and whose exciter coil is switched in parallel to the 3 solenoid coil v of the A switching current valve c and is therefore excited every time it is switched on. It interrupts for an adjustable time, which must be slightly longer than the runtime of the trip relay in,
the excitation of the shut-off valve q, so that with every automatic triggering immediately after a switch-on the contact z._ is open and remains open.
The device described thus fulfills the task of reactivating the compressed air switch immediately after an initial automatic release and with an adjustable delay after further automatic releases (as a result of a permanent short circuit), while each time it is arbitrarily performed, or automatically as a result of switching on to a short circuit caused disconnection, the reclosing does not take place without it being necessary to block the device beforehand.
The automatic re-compliance can be arbitrarily made ineffective if the control switch is turned back to the right position and left there after the switch has been switched on. The @ circuit via contacts 7 and 8 is then interrupted.
1 is an example of the practical realization of the subject of the invention, which is not limited to the device shown.
For those skilled in the art, obvious variations of the device consist, for example, in the fact that the control of the auxiliary switch t is controlled by the quick contact z instead of the piston of the main valve g, or in a pneumatic way by the pressure: in the switching chamber or in the connecting pipe between the main valve and switching chamber takes place.
The current through the coil zv of valve f can also be interrupted by a relay or by an off nun.gcontact on the control valve itself, while the interruption of the current in the holding circuit of the shut-off valve q is caused by the pressure drop in the connecting pipe or by a separate delay relay can be controlled.
In order to shorten the closing time of the shut-off valve q, it can be provided with a weak feed spring which keeps it closed even when the solenoid coils are de-energized as long as there is no pressure on the valve disk. In the case of a normal switch-off, the valve opens immediately because the air pressure we kende after opening the main valve g on its valve plate pushes it against the feed spring into the open position.
The switch contact z: therefore opens as if the check valve q had been open from the start. However, if the excitation coils of the shut-off valve q are excited in preparation for an immediate automatic restart, the excitation only needs to be so strong that it keeps the valve closed when the magnet armature is already attracted. The force to accelerate the magnet armature falls so that the power consumption of the valve magnet can be reduced.
Furthermore, it is obvious that the delay relay r and that in connection with. contact 1 of the time relay see, relay s1, also acting as a third delay relay, must be combined so that at least the delay element is common to both relays. This solution is particularly recommended when only a single automatic reclosing is required, and consequently contacts 2 and 4 of the.
Time relay s. can be omitted. In this case, the circuit is particularly simple, as the example in FIG. 2 shows. The relay r with immediate pick-up and delayed drop-out has a single delay element 16 and a single magnet body with two separate windings. It fulfills the same functions as shown in Fig. 1 by the relays r and s,
. and .the opening contact 1 of the time relay s2 are fulfilled.
