Rotationsdruckmaschine.
Fig. 4 zeigt das fahrbare Gestell.
Rotary printing press. The present invention is a rotary printing machine, especially for brochures, forms and other printing things in normal formats, with several printing units for single or multi-color printing. It is characterized in that the individual printing units, together with their inking units, can be extended laterally from the machine.
In the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments with construction details of the subject matter of the invention are shown.
Fig. 1 is a top plan view of a machine in a right angle arrangement; Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same machine as in Fig. 1, but set up for one-sided printing on the paper; Fig. 3 shows a printing unit; 4 shows the mobile frame loaded with a printing unit; Fig. 5 is a top plan view of another embodiment of the machine.
(Straight arrangement.) In the machine according to FIG. 1, the ocular printing part is at a right angle to the reverse printing part. The paper web is passed from a turning bar where it emerges from the last straight printing unit, while reversing at a right angle to the perfecting units.
The printing process, the running of the paper web, is as follows according to FIG. 1: The paper roll bearing 1 feeds the paper web at printing speed to the printing unit 2, which carries out the first color in face printing. From the printing unit 2, the paper web passes to the printing unit 3, where the printing of the second straight printing ink is carried out.
From 3, the paper with the print-free side passes over the turning bar 4, where it is reversed at an angle of 90 degrees into the first re-printing unit 5 of the perfecting part, which carries out the first color in the re-printing. From here the paper comes to printing unit 6 of the second color Widerdri.ek, then to printing unit 7, the third color printing. From Drucliwerh 7, the paper web is fed into the cutting machine or the folder 8.
A conveyor belt conveys the supports out of the machine, where they can be removed by one person. The base frame and the drive of the machine are permanently installed. At every point where a printing unit can be connected is. (Read the necessary connecting gear attached, to which wheels the paper roll storage and the cutting unit or the folder can be connected.
The conveyor belt 9 and the cutout 10 for the cutting unit or the folder in the base frame of the machine only reach below the second re-printing unit 6, since the cutting unit or the folder, even if only one printing unit is in use, never advance wider must become.
The section 1.1 (clearly visible in Fig. 2?) On your base frame of the Sehöndruekteils is provided for pushing the paper roll storage, since the paper roll extends slightly down into the base frame with its full diameter. The turning rod 4 is, as shown schematically, arranged re gulbar to keep the register.
If printing is only carried out on one side, this turning bar is turned around on the frame of the Schöndruekteils and at this point, as can be seen in Fig. 2, the paper roll storage 1 is used. The paper web now runs straight, since the paper web does not have to be reversed when printing on one side. All printing units are interchangeable and can be used at any point as required by the work in question.
The gear wheel connections of the printing units also fit for the cutting unit or the folder and for the paper roll storage. The exchange of the printing works is done with a mobile Ge alternate, which is shown in FIG. As can be seen from Fig. 3, all Liche printing units are exactly the same in all parts. They can be connected to any connection point on the base frame without any adjustment in the perfecting position. The printing unit can be attached to the base frame with the screws 12.
In order to immediately find the correct position on the base frame and in the gear connection, a wedge 13 is provided on each side of the movement. which is inserted into the pre-drilled holes so that the movement can be screwed to the base frame at the exact location. A register regulating shaft 14 is attached to the paper infeed side of the work in order to be able to correct register differences in the direction of paper travel.
First in the factory is the pressure cylinder 15, which carries the cylinder elevator with the dressing. The plate cylinder 16, which carries the printing plates, is located above this. The division of the plate cylinder is such that it can accommodate two printing plates for A4 normal format. The inking unit, which is generally customary and provided with amply dimensioned mass rollers, follows above. The two steel scrapers 17 get the lateral trituration, as in general in the color works. is known.
Above follow the so-called spring roller or lifter, then the ductor with the ink fountain 18. Of course, the plate cylinder can also accommodate four printing plates for the A 5 format or eight printing plates for the A 6 format. The paper width is 29.7 cm. With half the width of the paper web, two A 5 printing plates or four A 6 printing plates can be used. Due to this classification, even folded printed matter can be printed using only two printing units with a volume of four pages in normal format A4 or eight pages A5 or sixteen pages A6.
Fig. 4 shows the mobile frame. This is used for loading printing plates, for making adjustments and changing colors, in short for making ready for printing outside the machine. In this way, the printing units are very easily accessible and surplus printing units can be set up ready for the next job while a job is running in the machine.
5 shows the machine in a straight line with two printing units in the perfecting position and three printing units in the perfecting position. The difference to the arrangement at right angles is as follows: If folded printed matter is to be produced in addition to flat printed matter, the cutting unit can be combined with a folding device 19. This combined cutting and folding mechanism would be too heavy to move; this is why it is fixed at the end of the machine.
However, in order to print with any number of identical, extendable printing units, a paper web turning device 20 is arranged here so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The paper roll storage 2, the extendable printing units and the paper web turning device are arranged to be longitudinally displaceable with respect to the fixed cutting unit and folder. The paper web turning device can also be used at every point where a printer connection is located.
The run of the paper web through the turning device goes in the fol lowing way: The paper web is after leaving the last straight printing unit 22 over the turning bar 23, then over the shaft 24 and over the turning bar 25 always with the pressure-free side outwards and reversing into the first perfecting unit 26 forwarded.
For example, if a print job requires three printing units, one of which is in the face printing position and two printing units in the reverse printing position, after the fixed cutting unit and folder 19, the two printing units are used for the reverse printing at the next two printing unit connections Paper web turning device used,
at the fourth connection the printer for visual printing and at the fifth connection the paper roll storage is used. The number of printing units to be used in Schönlruekstellung or reverse printing position is also arbitrary with this straight arrangement of the machine. If printing is carried out on one side, the paper web turning device 20 is omitted.
The economic advantages of the machine being described are as follows: 1. The print format is variable within the normal formats A 4, A 5 and A 6 that are now in use. The formal A 4 can be used in double production, A 5 in double or quadruple production, depending can be printed as required after the run. The A 6 format can be printed in 4 or 8 copies depending on the edition.
2. Interchangeable printing units are used. All printing units can be changed among themselves. Any number of printing units can be used if the base frame is built large enough.
3. Moving the cutter or the folder, the paper roll storage and, if the machine is straight, the paper web turning device is possible in any required position, even if, for example, only one or two printing units are needed for one job.
4. The printing units are set up outside the machine on a mobile frame. If there are excess printing units, the same can be prepared for the next work on this frame while the machine is in motion. The loading of the printing units with plates, as well as preparation and color change sel are carried out on this frame.
5. All printing units can be used as desired in the front or reverse printing part of the machine without having to be adjusted.
6. Printing of all colors or print runs in one step on both sides. Longitudinal perforation is also possible.
7. Work can be interrupted without losing too much time. You take the aligned printing units out of the: machine, put them aside, do some pressing work in the meantime and then put them in the machine ready for printing like the one, without having to change anything on the ink fountain, printing plates or direction and elevator.
