Conveyor device for liquid fuels. It has already been proposed to arrange the electric motor of devices for the promotion of liquid fuels in the fuel tank itself, in such a way that it is below the liquid level of the fuel so that the pump works like a deep well or sink pump. However, it is practically impossible to seal the housing enclosing the electric motor from the outside in such a way that no fuel penetrates into the housing even after a long period of operation. Liquid hydrocarbons in particular, such as gasoline, have the ability to penetrate through the narrowest crevices and openings.
The invention relates to a conveyor device for liquid fuels with an electric motor enclosed under the fuel level in an outwardly sealed housing for driving a fuel feed pump. With the conveying device according to the invention, the difficulties mentioned are eliminated in that the housing is filled with oil which is under a pressure which is higher than the pressure of the liquid fuel surrounding the housing. It has been expediently selected those oils that are difficult or impossible to use with liquid fuel, e.g. B. Ben zin, mix. It is suitable for the desired purpose such. B. Castor Oil.
The oil located in the housing can now be kept under static pressure by a liquid column, with no pump systems or the like being required to maintain the pressure in the filling liquid of the housing. -Liquid or even gaseous substances that surround the electric motor can of course not penetrate the housing as long as the pressure inside the housing is higher than outside. In the drawing, some Ausfüh approximate forms of the subject invention are shown in example.
1 shows a schematic representation of a vertical section through the first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a vertical section through a second embodiment; Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section along the line III-III in Fig. 4 of an electric motor used in the conveyor device; Fig. 4 is a cross section on the line IV-IV in Fig. 3; FIG. 5 is a schematic representation of a conveyor device according to the invention in connection with a stationary system for dispensing liquid fuel.
The fuel delivery device according to FIG. 1 has a pump 1, which with. an electric motor 2 is directly coupled, and be found in the fuel-filled container 3. The electric motor is thus here at below the fuel level in the loading container 3. The pump 1 is at the lowest point of the container. The fuel flows through the suction port 4 of the pump 1 and is conveyed through the pressure port 5 with a pressure line 6 connected to the desired point of consumption. The pump shaft 7 is sealed outside the pump housing by a lip seal 8 in an inter mediate chamber 9. The structure of the pump is provided so that the implementation for the pump shaft is always on the suction side of the pump when it is working, so that the lip seal 8 is sucked in and the seal is promoted even further.
The electric motor 2 is. arranged above the pump 1 and encapsulated as tightly as possible. The motor shaft. which is also the pump shaft in the example shown is sealed by a lip seal 10 on the implementation through the motor housing outside the housing. This lip seal 10 is located within the intermediate chamber 9 in which the lip seal 8 is located. The intermediate chamber 9 is formed by the pump housing 1, the electric motor 2 and the connecting pipe 11. The Pum pen housing 1 is screwed tightly and tightly to the connecting pipe 11. The connec tion pipe 11 forms a housing for the Mo tor 2. The connecting pipe 11 is with. the cover of the container 3 firmly and tightly screwed.
The electrical supply lines 12 for the electric motor 2 are passed tightly through the motor housing and routed to the outside within the connecting pipe 11 via bushings. Between the inner wall of the connecting tube 11 and the outer wall of the elec tromotors 2 are channels 13 which form a connection between the intermediate chamber 8 and the upper space 14 of the connecting tube 11. The connecting pipe 11 is filled up to the top with a fuel-insoluble 01, so that the intermediate chamber 9 is also completely filled with the 01 through the channels 13.
The composition of the oil for filling the connecting pipe is selected so that its specific weight is higher than that of the respective fuel. Since the height of the connecting pipe is approximately equal to the depth of the container. So the static pressure on the lip seal device 8 for the implementation of the pump axis directed even when the tank is completely filled with fuel and the pump is not working from the connecting pipe to the pump, so that fuel can never get into the intermediate chamber 9. Due to the lip seal and the oil filling of the intermediate chamber, no fuel vapors can get into the electric motor, since a gas-tight seal on the pump or Motor shaft is reached.
By laying the electrical lines 12 of the electric motor 2 in the oil filling, the explosion or Risk of ignition in the event of any violent intervention (e.g. by projectiles) avoided or greatly diminished.
The connecting pipe 11 has a filler opening at the top through which the respective oil was checked and 01 can be refilled if necessary.
In FIG. 2, 15 denotes a storage container for the fuel 16. 17 is the filling opening. In the container hangs BEZW at a suitable point. in the middle a shaft 18, in which near the near end below the liquid level of the fuel 16, a closed electric motor 19 is housed in a housing, which drives the centrifugal pump 21 through a shaft 20. A lip seal 22 is used to seal the housing in which the electric motor is housed. Another lip seal 23, which also surrounds the shaft 20, closes the shaft space to the centrifugal pump 21 and thus to the fuel 16 located in the container 15.
As indicated schematically, the shaft 18 is filled with -01. Again, an oil with a higher specific weight than that of the fuel is selected so that the static pressure of the oil on the lip seal 23 is always higher than the pressure of the liquid fuel. The electric motor 19 with its housing is guided in a suitable manner on the shaft wall, for example by ribs, so that the 01 also has free passage into the space located between the centrifugal pump and the electric motor 19. The inlet opening for the fuel into the centrifugal pump 21 is designated by 24.
The pressure line 25, through which the fuel is conveyed, surrounds, as the drawing shows, the shaft 18 in a ring shape. The power for the electric motor is supplied through the two lines 26. A head 27, which is closed by a screw 28, is inserted into the shaft mouth. The nature of the oil and the oil level in the shaft can be checked after removing the screw 28 who the. The annular pressure line 25 opens into an outlet connection 29 on the head 27.
A wall 30 in the head 27 closes the interior of the nozzle 29 and thus the pressure line 25 from the rest of the interior of the head 27, which has another nozzle 31 on the opposite side, through which the electrical leads 26 are led to the motor.
As the drawing shows, the head 27 with the shaft 18, the electric motor 19 and the feed pump 21 can be taken out of the container 15 as a unit, for example to be repaired or replaced by another unit.
In Fig. 3 and 4, 32 denotes the electric motor, which is used to drive a pump 33. The housing of the electric motor 32 is provided with a thread at 34 so that the electric motor can be screwed into the built-in housing 35. The installation housing is closed again to a pipe suspension 36, which is attached, for example, to the ceiling of a container. The submersible pump set is located inside a container filled with liquid and has the purpose of conveying the liquid to a point of consumption.
The housing of the electric motor 32 is now seen with wide ribs 37 ver. The channels 38 remain between these ribs. The built-in housing 35 is also equipped in the same way with ribs 39 and channel spaces 40 located in between. The ribs 37 and 39 and the channels 38 and 40 are congruent, that is to say lie in a straight line when the housing of the electric motor is screwed into the built-in housing, as shown in FIG.
A metal sleeve 41 is now pushed onto the housing of the electric motor 32. This metal sleeve comes into contact with all surfaces of the ribs 37 and is of such a length that it also covers the built-in housing 35, that is to say that it also fits the ribs 39 in a snug fit. In addition, the upper part of the sleeve is in metallic contact with the upper part of the installation housing, as shown in FIG. 3.
The heat developed by the electric motor is dissipated through the ribs 37 to the sleeve 41 and passed on from the sleeve to the built-in housing and distributed. It he follows in this way a perfect Küh treatment of the electric motor.
The pressurized protective oil is located in the channels 38, which are delimited by the ribs 37 on the one hand and the sleeve 41 on the other. The entire submersible pump set is still surrounded by a tube 42 which ends at its lower end in a suction basket 43 for the pump 33. This tube 42 lies at a certain distance from the sleeve 41, so that an annular space 43a is created which forms the pressure line for the conveyed liquid.
In Fig. 5, the tank container located below the ground is denoted by 67, while 68 represents the fuel pump. In the tank container there is the submersible pump set 69, which has a closed electric motor and a pressure pump in a housing and can be made similar to that shown in FIG. The housing of the submersible pump set is filled with oil. The submersible pump set 69 is preferably connected to a head 71 seated on the container 67 by tubes 70 inserted one inside the other. Two pipes 72 and 73 are connected to this head. The pipe 72 leads from the pressure pump to the tapping point 74 in the fuel pump for the purpose of dispensing the fuel.
The pipe 73 also ends in the tank column at 75, but above the tap 74. The upper part 7 5 of the pipe 7 3 is formed by a glass tube or the like. The protective oil filling of the submersible pump set 69 continues uninterrupted through the pipe 73 to the upper transparent pipe part 75. The static pressure level of the oil is thus greater than the static pressure level of the fuel surrounding the housing of the electric motor, whereby the advantages mentioned above are achieved.
The housing surrounding the electric motor carries the fuel feed pump at its lower end.
