Fig. 2) verschiebbar geführt sind.
Nunmehr sind also beide Kupp lungen gelöst.
Coupling device, in particular for motor vehicles. The invention relates to a clutch device, in particular for motor vehicles with a change gear, according to the patent claim of the main patent, and specifically it has a further embodiment of this clutch device as its subject.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing in two exemplary embodiments, namely in an axial section through the upper half of the coupling device.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment with special springs for the main and for the auxiliary clutch, while FIGS. 2, 2a and 2b illustrate an embodiment with only one set of springs, in three different operating positions.
In Fig. 1, 1 is the coming from the engine and 2 denotes the shaft leading to the transmission. On a flange 1 a of the motor shaft, the flywheel 3 is screwed, which forms a pot-like housing which, together with an open side of the housing, connected by screws 4 with it perforated cover 5 includes the whole coupling. With the flange part 5a of the cover, a sleeve-like hub part 7 is screwed at 6, into which a sleeve 8 with needle bearings 9 is inserted.
This bushing serves to guide and support the shaft 2 enclose the sleeve-like hub part 10 of a ring hollow body 11, which also has a radially extending disk 11a, a cylindrical part llb, a flange llc attached to this and a cylinder part 11d connected to it has, which in turn has two inwardly directed flanges lle and Il f. The connec tion of the part 11d, which contains the abutment for the additional coupling 12, with the part 11b, which serves as a carrier for the outer lamellae 13 of the main coupling 14, he follows by screwing the flange 1lf with the flange 1lc.
The ring body designated as a whole with 11, which is referred to below as the "loose disc carrier", is by means of its hub part 10 in the sleeve 8, which is rigidly connected to the flywheel 3 via the part 7 and cover 5 and thereby with the motor shaft 1 stands, rotatably, but not slidably mounted in the axial direction. The lamellae 13 are, as usual, guided axially displaceably but not rotatably with the aid of teeth provided on the outer circumference in corresponding grooves in the loose lamella carrier 11. The carrier respectively.
Driver for the inner lamellae 1 5 is formed by the corresponding number of annular disks 16 made of spring steel sheet, which are welded together in pairs with their inner edges and welded with their outer edges to the lamellae 15 concerned. The connection with the associated shaft. That is to say, the motor shaft 1 takes place in the illustrated case by welding or screwing the right pair of spring washers 16 with an inwardly projecting shoulder 7a of the hub part 7 screwed to the cover 5.
The press together of the disk pack of the Hauptkupp ment 14 is done with the help of a pressure plate 17, which is guided on the cylinder part 111) of the loose plate carrier 11 in the same way as the slats 13 axially displaceable, but not rotatable .. The to press the pressure plate against the sturdy helical spring 18, held by an abutment flange 11g, rests with its left end on an annular projection of the disc 11.a of the loose lamellar carrier, while its other end rests against the bottom of the cylindrical cavity of an annular body 19 that accommodates it supports
which with its flange part 19a engages in an annular recess 20 of the pressure plate 17 and, under the pressure of the spring 18, lies against a projection 17a of the pressure plate. The ring body 19 is axially displaceable, but not rotatably guided with the help of radially inwardly directed teeth 19b, which engage in corresponding gaps 10a of the hub part 1.0.
The teeth 19b further engage in recesses 21a of a sleeve 21, which is rotatably mounted within the hub part 10, but is guided non-rotatably against this part and thus against the loose disk carrier 11.
With the right end flange 21 b of the sleeve 21 stands. the release sleeve 22 in contact, which is under the action of the clutch pedal of the vehicle in question, in such a way that when you step on the pedal, the sleeve 22, which is preferably made from a special carbon known for such purposes or some other suitable friction material, is. is pressed to the left against the sleeve 21, which takes the ring body 19 with it and releases the pressure plate 17 against the action of the spring 18.
In the range of motion of the left end of the sleeve 21 lie the inner arms of levers 24 rotatable in bearings 23 on the loose disk carrier 11, the outer shorter arms 24a. act on a pressure plate 25 for the auxiliary clutch 12, which is axially displaceable but not rotatable in the cylinder part 11d, by means of adjusting screws 26 by means of which the mutual. axial Ent distance between the lever arms 24 a and the pressure plate 25 and thus the Ab was between the inner lever arms 241) and the opposite end of the sleeve 21 can be regulated.
The pressing of the pressure plate 25 against the friction body 27 of the auxiliary clutch 12 takes place with the help of several over the circumference distributed screws benfedern 28, which are supported with their one ends against the flange 11c. The friction body per 27, which the flange 11e serves as an abutment, consists of a sheet steel disk screwed at '27a to a sleeve 29 that is displaceable but not rotatable on the shaft 2, and an annular disk 30 made of friction material, for example an impregnated asbestos mass or the like.
The mode of operation of the coupling device is as follows: In the normal position of the parts illustrated in the numbers, which corresponds to the coupling state, the coupling sleeve 21 is in the correct position in which it is actuated by the compression spring, since the clutch pedal is released 18 the main clutch is held. The spring 18 acts at the same time on the pressure plate 17, which keeps the lamella packet pressed together in this way. The friction parts of the additional clutch 12 are pressed together by their springs 28 acting on the pressure plate 25.
The adjusting screws 26 are set so that the inner arms of the levers 24 are at a certain distance from the lin ken end of the coupling sleeve 21.
If the clutch is now to be disengaged, the driver steps on the clutch pedal. As a result, the sleeve 22 is pressed against the flange 21b: the one with the disk pack around the clutch sleeve 21, where slight friction occurs, which, as soon as the clutch is released, quickly decelerates the light coupling parts that have been rotating at the speed of the motor shaft has the consequence.
When the coupling sleeve 21 is shifted to the left, the ring body protruding with its teeth 19b into the recesses 21a of the sleeve is initially taken along with the spring 18 being compressed. As a result, the pressure plate 17 is released so that the disk pack is relieved. A very slight displacement of the pressure plate is sufficient for this, since the clutch 12 is also released as soon as the load is removed from the disk pack.
The release of this coupling takes place in that the coupling sleeve 21 after overcoming the space provided between its left end and the lower arms of the lever 24 and adjustable by the screws 26 pushes the relevant lever arms to the left, whereby the pressure plate 25 counteracts the action the springs 28 be moved to the right.
This also releases the Reibkör by 27 of the additional clutch so that it can swing freely with the gear wheel to be shifted and there are no obstacles in the way of engaging another gear in the company, because of the rounding on the face of the teeth to be shifted the shaft gives way under the switching pressure and the teeth easily engage in one another.
When the clutch is re-engaged, the lower arms of the lever 24 are first released as a result of the displacement of the clutch sleeve 21 to the right caused by the spring 18, so that the additional clutch 12 is engaged under the action of the springs 28. A short time later, the flange part 19a of the ring body 19 enclosing the spring 18 on three sides then strikes the projection. 17a of the pressure plate 17, which is consequently placed under pressure on the disk pack of the main clutch and thus causes it to be engaged.
The engagement .der additional clutch it follows before the engagement of the main clutch, even before any pressure on the pressure plate 17 of the last - is exerted. The additional clutch is therefore never exposed to a longer friction time, which could lead to significant wear and heat generation, because it only has to stop the light, partially braked, loose disk carrier. The material of the friction surfaces of the auxiliary clutch can therefore have a high coefficient of friction. The specific contact pressure of this coupling can also be selected to be very high.
The smooth engagement of the main clutch is further promoted by the fact that the specific load on the friction material can be kept within the lowest limits thanks to the very large friction surfaces. This makes it possible to use the lowest coefficient of friction with the lowest contact pressure. The conditions of the additional clutch 12 are selected so that it is able to transmit a torque that is considerably higher than that of the main clutch, at least 50% higher, since slipping of the auxiliary clutch must be avoided in any case.
This is easy to achieve because the load on the hitch is always in the closed state and so the friction coefficient of rest can be used in the calculation.
The above-mentioned braking of the loose disk carrier with all of its coherent part by pressing the release sleeve 22 against the coupling sleeve 21 when decoupling is important in that it causes the clutch to engage. First, see the additional clutch closes, the relative speed of the coupling parts in question is zero or at least very low, so that practically any heat-generating friction causing wear and a disruptive jolt is avoided.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 2, 2a and 2b, a bell-shaped pierced ring body 5b is flanged to the rigidly ver related flywheel 3 with the motor shaft of the vehicle concerned, which forms a housing for the entire clutch is.
The hub part 7 of the ring body 51 is with the help of a two-row ball bearing 9a. mounted on a sleeve 10b, in which the axially displaceable coupling sleeve? 1 is inserted, with the flange 21b of which the release sleeve 22 actuated by the clutch pedal of the vehicle concerned can come into contact. The loose plate carrier 11 is fastened to the sleeve 10b with the aid of the arms 1.11a extending radially outwards, the outer plates 13 again in the usual way with teeth provided on the outer circumference. engage between provided on the disk carrier 11, see extending strips 11i in the axial direction.
The inner lamellae 15 are in a corresponding manner on strips 16a of the hub part 7 of the annular body 5b leads, which hub part is referred to below as a fixed disk carrier.
On the loose plate carrier 11 several over the circumference ver divided levers 24 are rotatable in bearings '23. The bearings are not directly on your slat carrier; rather, they sit on bolts 36 which sieve through in the axial direction. extending bores of the plate carrier 11 are guided displaceably by a small play c (see. Fig. 2). This play can be adjusted with the aid of a nut 37.
The inner arms 24b of the coupling levers 24 engage in recesses 21a of the coupling sleeve, so that when the latter is displaced in the axial direction, they are mitigated. 38 with a lock screw lockable by a nut be distinguished, which is screwed in the middle part of the inner arm of the lever 24 and which can come into contact with its end with the pressure plate 17 of the multi-plate clutch. This pressure plate is like the lamellae 13 on the loose disk carrier 11 relative to this axially displaceable, but not rotatable bar.
The outer arms 24a of the coupling bracket 24 lie between two ring disks 25 and 35, of which the former forms the pressure plate for the additional coupling. The friction body 27 of this clutch is fastened at 27a to the flange 29a of a bushing 29 which is axially displaceable on the shaft 2 to be driven. The brake body 27 of the additional clutch is again provided with friction disks 30. which are pressed between the pressure plate 25 and an abutment that is pushed inwards by one. directed flange 11e of a cylinder part 11d with flange 11f of the loose disk carrier 11 is formed.
The annular disk 35 is pressed towards the extension by a rapid number of helical springs 39 distributed over the circumference. The springs are supported with their one ends against the bottom of the pots 40 which include them and which are fastened to the flange II f .
The outer lever arms 24a of the clutch lever occur at two radially spaced vonein other points. namely on the one hand inside at a with the pressure plate 25 and on the other hand outside at b with the annular disk 35 in contact. The formation of the coupling levers, in particular their outer arms, is such and the axial play of the bolts 36 carrying the bearings 23 for the coupling levers with respect to the loose lamellas triiger 11, which, by the way, is mounted unversehiebbax in the axial direction, and finally the distance between the Adjusting screw 38 and the pressure plate 17 of the main coupling are dimensioned so
that when the clutch pedal is actuated and the clutch sleeve 21 is shifted to the left, the main clutch and then the additional clutch are released while the two clutches are engaged in reverse order. The processes are as follows: If the clutch is to be disengaged, the driver steps on the clutch pedal, where the release sleeve 22 moves to the left from the position illustrated in FIG. 2 until it hits the flange of the sleeve 21. With further passage ver also the sleeve 21 moves to the left, the inner arms of the lever 24 are taken with.
First, the point of contact a with the pressure plate 25 forms the fixed pivot point, while the bearing 23 moves to the left and the outer end of the lever arm 24a to the right, namely against the pressure effect of the springs 39 ver. During this movement, the pressure plate 17 of the main clutch is released by the adjusting screw 38 of the clutch lever 24, which means that the main clutch is relieved of the pressure of the springs 39 previously resting on it.
When the coupling sleeve 21 is moved further, the nut 37 of the bolts 36 carrying the bearings 23 for the clutch levers rests against the loose lamellar carrier 11 after the slight play c has been eliminated, so that the bearings 23 now become fulcrums for the levers 24 ( Fix.2a). As a result, the cams of the outer lever arms 24a lift at point a from the pressure plate 25 of the Zusatzkupp ment and thus also release this, while the cams at point b continue to move the annular disk 35 against the action of the springs 39 to the right (Fix. 2b ). So now both couplings are solved.
If you want to re-engage, the driver gradually releases the pedal. The consequence of this is that the springs 39 push the upper lever arms 24a back to the left until the cams come into contact with the pressure plate 25 at point a, whereupon the auxiliary clutch is first engaged.
When the clutch pedal is released further, the inner arms 24b of the clutch lever are pushed to the right, with the contact points a of the cams forming the pivot points and the bearings 23 move to the right until the adjusting screws ben 38 again against the pressure plate 17 of the main clutch put so that when the coupling sleeve 21 is now completely released, the pressure of the springs 39 acts on both the auxiliary coupling and the main coupling and keeps both engaged.
It should also be emphasized that in the example according to FIGS. 2, 2a and 2b, a particularly high contact pressure is available for the additional clutch designed as a single-disk clutch.
This is highly desirable, because this clutch only releases during the shifting process, but otherwise it must be closed after engagement, i.e. while the multi-disc clutch is slipping, in order to reduce wear-causing friction on the additional clutch with absolute safety avoid.
Due to the special arrangement and design of the lever 24 respectively. By appropriately choosing the length of the lever and the ratio of the lever arms, the pressure on the A disc clutch is greater than the spring pressure itself when the spring pressure is given, while the pressure on the multi-plate clutch is much lower. This lower pressure is easily permissible because, due to the large number of friction surfaces, the multi-plate clutch can easily transmit the maximum torque even with a low coefficient of friction (e.g. oil flow).
Furthermore, the described Hebelaus education gives the advantage that, as a result of the change of pivot point with a relatively low pedal force, both clutches are relieved or respectively. can be solved.
If both clutches are "dry-running", the friction material of the single-disc clutch can be manufactured with a particularly high coefficient of friction, since it only has to transmit the maximum torque including the shocks with absolute certainty. The otherwise damaging high specific stress on the friction materials of ordinary single-plate clutches is completely eliminated here because, as already mentioned, this clutch does not have to perform friction work.
In the case of multi-plate clutches, on the other hand, low coefficients of friction are desired in order to achieve the lowest possible specific stresses and thus a long service life, gentle handling, etc. Due to the large number of friction surfaces you can achieve an equal for the low coefficient of friction; If the single-disc clutch is left dry and the multi-disc clutch run in an oil bath, the conditions just described as worthwhile can be maintained without further ado.
In both of the described coupling devices, the hub part 7 forming the fixed disk carrier is rigidly connected to the motor shaft 1 by a housing protecting the two clutches and is arranged inside the loose disk carrier 11.
