Drehkolbenmaschine.
Rotary piston machine. In known rotary piston machines with an annular working chamber, in which the inflow of the propellant through an opening in the housing end wall by the piston itself, the supply of the propellant to the housing is regulated by a controlled inlet organ, there is a major disadvantage that the propellant only then a is performed when the space to be filled by him between the pistons has already assumed a considerable size. In this case, namely, the propellant expands without any useful work being taken away, with loss of work.
Rotary piston machines are also known in which the inlet valve is only opened when the working space begins to form between the counter-rotating pistons. In this way of working, however, the increase in the working space is in an unfavorable relationship to the free valve cross-section, since the opening of the valve up to the entire free cross-section takes a certain amount of time, and during this time the flowing fuel is throttled Volume behind the piston increases very quickly. This fact can be recognized by a loss of working area in the working diagram of the machine.
These disadvantages can be lifted when using a rotary piston machine according to the invention.
The subject of the present invention is a rotary piston machine with an annular working space, in which the inflow of the propellant through an opening in the housing end wall by means of the piston itself, the supply of the propellant to the housing is regulated by a controlled inlet element, whereby according to the invention the control of the inlet element is set up in such a way, that the opening of the inlet member takes place before the opening of the inlet flow in the housing wall caused by the piston.
If the controlled inlet member is already opened before the inflow opening provided in the housing front wall is released, at the moment of the release already strö Mendes propellant occurs at greater speed in the inflow opening and thus in the expanding work space. This is thus fully replenished with work equipment without any significant loss. As a result, the energy content of the propellant is largely utilized and the economy of the machine is improved.
Advantageously, the rotating piston of one wheel engaging in a recess of the wheel forming an abutment is provided with a curved surface on its front edge in the direction of rotation close to the outer edge, so that the rotating piston with this on the part of its circumference concentric to the wheel center adjoining surface on the flank of the recess of the other wheel slides along.
This training aims to be known devices in which the rotary piston rests against the abutment only along a line to realize a surface seal during the supply of the propellant. This allows the economy of the rotary piston machine to be increased even further, as it prevents the economic advantages that can be achieved through the early opening of the controlled inlet member from being forfeited due to insufficient sealing of the rotary piston compared to the abutment.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention is shown schematically.
1 is a vertical longitudinal section, and FIG. 2 is a section along line 11-1I in FIG.
In Fig. 1, 1 means the housing in wel chem the two wheels 2 and 3 rotate in the opposite sense. Each wheel is a work wheel and an abutment at the same time. The wheel 2 is provided with a rotary piston 5, wel cher bearing in a recess 6 on its counter, that is, on the other wheel 3, engages. 7 with the inlet opening in the housing front wall is designated. 9 is the piston of the wheel 3, which engages in a recess 10 of the wheel 2. Both pistons are designed similarly.
11 with the ge in a known manner controlled inlet organ is referred to, through wel Ches the access of the propellant to Ge housing 1 is regulated, with 12 the space between tween the valve 11 and the rotary piston 9, respectively. the inlet opening 7. 13 means that the fuel is fed to the valve 11.
1 shows the moment at which the working space 14 to which the propellant is to be applied begins to develop between the piston 5, the piston 9 and the wheel 3. At this moment the space 12 is already filled by the inlet member 11, which is controlled ahead of time according to the invention, so that the propellant located in the supply line 13 is accelerated.
The inlet member 11 can already be fully open at this moment; however, it is sufficient if its cross-section is only partially opened; in such a way that the working space 14 can be filled with propellant within a very short time through this partially opened cross-section.
In the further course of the movement of the wheels 2 and 3, the piston 9 with its trailing flank completely releases the inlet opening 7 to the working space 14.
As already mentioned above, the propellant set in motion, which was located immediately in front of the piston 9 before the release of the cross section 7, completely fills the working space 14 within a very short time, so that practically no loss of work gain due to gradual filling the work rooms can enter.
From the drawing, the formation of the piston 5 can still be seen, which is provided on its front flank 17 in the direction of rotation near the outer edge with a vaulted surface 15; it is designed in such a way that the piston 5 slides along the walls 16 of the recess 6 during the supply of the propellant with a relatively wide area which adjoins the part 18 concentric to the wheel center point. In this way, the usual in known devices you device is replaced along a line by a relatively moderately wide area.
It can be seen that this design of the piston 5 contributes significantly to ensuring the economic viability that can be achieved through the premature opening of the inlet member 11, because the seal along a surface definitely prevents the propellant from the working space 14 around the piston 5 in the annular space 4 of the wheel 2 and there escapes into the exhaust.
In the exemplary embodiment, the surface 18 of the working piston 5 lies on a larger radius than the cylindrical outside of the other piston. This fact contributes in conjunction with the curved surface of the Kol ben 5 to provide the surface contact between the piston 5 and its abutment herzu.
