Luftpolsterung an Sitzmöbeln.

Air cushioning on seating. The invention relates to air upholstery on seating furniture, for example on those of automobiles, including buses, rail vehicles, watercraft and aircraft, and those of the household.
The observation on automobiles that mainly the seat upholstery soon becomes deformed through use due to depressions and folds gave rise to this invention.
An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing, namely: Fig. 1 shows the various manufacturing phases of a chair, Fig. 2 shows the sponge rubber rib of this piece of furniture, Fig. 3 shows a cross section of another chair, Fig. 4 shows a filing device as a means of maintaining the shape the upholstery.
With 1 is a belt covering and with an overlying fabric underlay be characterized. These parts are clamped on a rack frame. The inner air cell division is formed by sponge rubber plates 5a, 5b . The sponge rubber rib 5a, 5b is completely airtightly enclosed by an air-tight envelope 4, 4a. The air valve 8 (Fig. 3) is attached to a hidden, easily accessible location.
A sponge rubber cover 3, 3a serves as a protective medium for the air cover 4, 4a. 6 is a wadding serving as a heat retainer on the top 3a of the cover 3, 3a, and 7 means the leather or fabric cover on the outer top or outer front of the padding.
The air cells formed by the longitudinal plates 5a and transverse plates 5b are denoted by 5c. The latter are connected to each other through holes 5d for air circulation. 16 are made of 'sponge rubber, on the seat to the rear, and on the back cushion at the lower crossing Stel len of the plates 5a, 5b provided, with the latter a coherent whole bil Dende tubes through which a rubber rope 13 is passed.
