Fig. 1 zeigt den Apparat in schaubild licher Ansicht; Fig. 2 zeigt rein schematisch die Führung des Tonträgers; Fig. 3 zeigt einen Nadelträger des Appa rates mit einer Schneid- und einer Abtast- nadel; Fig. 4 zeigt einen senkrechten Längs schnitt durch eine Schublade des Apparates; Fig. 5 zeigt einen Abschnitt des Tonauf- zeichnungsträgers ; Fig. 6 zeigt schematisch eine Einrichtung zur Verschiebung der Dose;
Sound recording and reproducing apparatus with an endless sound recording medium rolled into a roll. The invention relates to a sound recording and reproducing apparatus with an endless sound recording medium rolled up into a roll.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention is illustrated schematically table.
Fig. 1 shows the apparatus in a diagrammatic view; Fig. 2 shows purely schematically the guidance of the sound carrier; 3 shows a needle carrier of the apparatus with a cutting needle and a scanning needle; Fig. 4 shows a vertical longitudinal section through a drawer of the apparatus; 5 shows a section of the sound recording carrier; Fig. 6 shows schematically a device for displacing the can;
7 shows schematically a device for switching the apparatus from the recording to the playback position; FIG. 8 shows a vertical section along the line VIII-VIII of FIG. 2; 9 shows a vertical section through a disk coupled to the sound box and movable under a pointer, and FIG. 10 shows a plan view of the disk.
The apparatus shown has a housing 1, in the interior of which a sound recording medium 8 and a sound box 18 are housed, and the front part 2, indicated by dashed lines, can be folded up, whereby the sound recording medium and the sound box are visible. The lower part of the housing 1 is filled with a drawer 3, which can be pulled out to the front. In the drawer 3 a vertical axis 4 is arranged, about which a horizontal plate 5 is rotatable.
A circular box 6, which is open at the top, is placed on the plate 5, in the annular chamber of which the self-contained, that is to say endless, sound recording medium 8, rolled up to form a roll 7, is located. The walls 26a, 26b of the annular chamber are in the shape of a truncated cone and extend obliquely outwards from the bottom upwards, whereby a secure position of the roll is achieved and the latter is prevented from sliding out upwards.
From the winding 7 of the sound recording medium 8 is in a loop up through the housing opening 9 leads out and passed over the guide head 10, the toothed drive roller 11 and the guide roller 12 articulated freely by ball. The sound carrier is passed between the brake shoes of a braking device 13. The insertion of the sound carrier into the braking device 13, which consists of an upper jaw 13a and a lower jaw 13b, he follows by opening the upper jaw 13a around the hinge-like joint 14 (Fig. 8) and then closing the upper jaw.
In. the upper jaw are springs 15, which can be tightened by an adjusting screw 16 and thus allow any brake setting. The sound carrier 8 is pressed firmly against the drive roller 11 by the roller 17. The drive roller 11 is coupled to an electric motor (not shown) arranged in the housing 1. Above half. The guide head 10, the sound box 18 is arranged, which is displaceable on the horizontal axis 19 in the horizontal direction transverse to the direction of movement of the sound carrier.
The sound box 18 has a cutting pin 20 and a stylus 21, which have a common socket 22 and form a unit with the latter (FIG. 3). Between the sound box 18 and the drive roller 11 there is a roller 23 which is freely movable up and down. On this roll, which rests on the sound carrier, the chip produced during cutting winds up automatically. How this is done in detail is not the subject of this invention and therefore need not be discussed in more detail.
The guide head 10 is, as shown in FIG. 2, eccentrically supported by the axis 24 on the housing. By rotating the guide head by means of the switch handle 25 by <B> 180 '</B> it is possible in a simple manner to bring the sound carrier guided over the guide head either with the cutting pin 20 or with the tracer pin 21 into contact. The intermediate position is the zero position in which both pins are except for a handle with the sound carrier.
So that the pen and tracer pen of the can on the endless sound carrier do not describe a self-contained path, but a helical path, a displacement of the can across the sound carrier is necessary. This shift he follows in the following way: At one edge of the sound carrier 8, a Randausspa tion 26 is provided at a certain point (Fig. 5). A pin 27 (FIGS. 2, 5, 6 and 7) rests resiliently on this edge of the sound carrier.
When the pin 27 falls into the recess 26, depending on the circulation of the sound carrier, a contact 28 is closed, which in turn closes the circuit of an electromagnet 29 (FIG. 6). Each time the contact closes, he now follows in the manner described below, a small transverse displacement of the sound box, which corresponds to the pitch groove. When the contact has been made, the electric magnet 29 is excited, which attracts its armature 30, at one end of which a fork 31 is seated.
This fork 31 engages like the armature of a watch, locking into the escape wheel 32 driven by the wheel 40 of a spring motor and allows for a further rotation of the escape wheel 32 by one tooth pitch every time the electric magnet 29 is excited and its armature 30 moves. A gear wheel 34 is connected to the Xnker- wheel 32, which engages in a toothed rack 35. The toothed rod 35 is in direct communication with the sound box 18 and causes its transverse displacement. In the power line of the Mag netes 29, another spring contact 36 is installed, which is normally closed.
A cam 38 sits on the rotating arm 37 of the sound box 18. When the sound box 18 is lifted by hand, if you want to change the sound carrier, the cam 38 opens the contact 36 and thus the circuit of the displacement device of the sound box. The sound carrier could also have several edge cutouts, in wel chem case several transverse displacements of the box would take place with each revolution of the sound carrier, the total amount of which would have to correspond to the groove spacing.
The spring motor 33 is wound up by rotating the shaft 39. Since the shaft 39 is firmly seated on the wheel 40, the rack 35 with the sound box 18 is simultaneously moved back via the wheel 34 against the displacement occurring during the operation of the apparatus until the sound box 18 has returned to its initial position. The shaft 39 protrudes from the top of the housing of the Ap parates and has a knob 41. Outside the housing 1, a disk 42 is attached to the shaft 39, which has two pins 43 on its top (Fig. 9). Above the disk 42 there is a pointer 44 seated loosely on the shaft 39, which is determined between two pins 44a located on the housing 1.
On the disk 42 is a replaceable disk 45 made of paper, cardboard or the like, wel che a radial slot 46 has. This disc 45 is intended to record in the playback of several independent Tonauf, which are recorded on one and the same sound carrier, allow to determine the sound groove in which the individual sound recordings begin. For this purpose, at the beginning of each recording, on the disc 45, which rotates with each transverse displacement of the sound box 18, that is, with each rotation of the sound carrier by one division, a mark is made by hand under the fixed pointer 44 and one the Note on recording related information.
After completing the recordings, the disc 45 is added to the storage package of the sound carrier. At. For playback, the disk 45 is pushed over the axis 89 and fastened to the disk 42 by means of pins 43. By turning the knob 41, the disk 45 is now turned until the symbol made on it and relating to the picture to be reproduced is under the pointer 44. The sound box 19 is simultaneously moved over the wheels 40 and 34 and the rack 35 until the stylus is exactly above the sound groove in which the ge desired sound recording begins.
The circuit of the electric motor 53 driving the drive roller 11 is controlled by the electromagnet 52 shown in FIG. 7. In the intermediate position of the guide head 10 shown in Fig. 7, in which neither the cutting nor the stylus is in contact with the sound carrier, the guide head 10 closes the contacts 10 ', 10 ".
If the pin 27 is now in this position of the guide head 10 on the protruding edge part of the sound carrier, so that the contact 28 is open, the circuit of the electromagnet 52 is also open and the latter releases its armature 52, which in turn releases the contact 55 and thus the circuit of the motor 53 closes, so that this sets the sound carrier in motion. As soon as the recess 26 of the sound carrier confronts the pin 27, the latter springs into the recess, the contact 28 being closed and the electromagnet 52 being excited, which attracts its armature 54 and thereby opening the contact 55.
The circuit of the motor 53 is thus interrupted and the sound carrier 8 is stopped.
This arrangement and circuit means that when the guide head 10 is in its middle position, the sound carrier is moved until its recess 26, which corresponds to the beginning A of the sound line, opposite the pin 27, without the microphone or loudspeaker being switched on comes to rest, and that the engine is thus switched off in a position in which the sound carrier comes to lie with the beginning A. of the groove opposite the can. To start a recording at a can pin.
How to adjust, you then only need the disk 45 by turning the knob; 41 with the symbol noted on the disk opposite the pointer 44, the can being displaced transversely to the tone carrier and set to the desired tone groove.
