Fig. 3 zeigt die beiden Zangenteile in der Drehachse gekreuzt aufeinanderliegend, und zwar in so grosser Spreizung, dass sie vonein ander getrennt werden können; Fig. 4 zeigt ebenfalls die beiden Zangen teile in der Drehachse gekreuzt aufeinander liegend, jedoch weniger stark gespreizt als in Fig. 3, so dass die Vorsprünge sich bereits soweit unter- bezw. übergreifen, dass die bei den Teile nicht mehr auseinanderfallen kön nen;
Lock on pliers and scissors-like working instruments. For the articulated connection of the two crossing parts of pliers and scissors-like working instruments, a larger number of lock constructions are known which have the purpose of allowing easy dismantling of the two parts without the need for auxiliary devices such as screwdrivers and the like , and nevertheless to ensure a secure cohesion of the two parts during their movement around the axis of rotation. However, these lock constructions only partially fulfill their purpose, or they are associated with disadvantages.
In the so-called "Aesculap" lock according to Walcher, one part carries a pin with a head that is pushed into a slot in the other part. This lock has the disadvantage that the pinless part is considerably weakened by the slot and is subject to the risk of breakage under heavy use.
The so-called Collin flap lock avoids this risk in that a headless pin of one part engages in a hole in the other part in the axis of rotation, the two parts of the instrument being held together by a flap usually attached to the perforated part., which overlaps the other part. Between the flap-carrying part and the flap there is therefore a slot, usually produced by milling, in which the second part moves.
The disadvantages of this construction are as follows: The place under the guide tab can only be cleaned poorly, which favors the build-up of rust. Furthermore, it is impossible to see this critical point with the polish required for the galvanic deposits, which also favors the formation of rust. Since the flap that holds it together does not come to lie centrically with the axis of rotation, but in front of or behind it, this is particularly important with thin instrument parts. the steady gait is impaired.
The last-mentioned deficiency should be remedied by the construction of the so-called double lobe lock. This be seated both in front of and behind the axis of rotation a flap that spans the other part. The other disadvantages of the Lappen lock according to Collin are not eliminated, but rather doubled.
The present invention does not have any of the stated disadvantages. It gives the two parts of the pliers-like and scissors-like working instruments good, uniform guidance on one another, as well as reliable cohesion despite the fact that they can be easily dismantled without auxiliary equipment. Finally, it is such a lock, all of the sides and surfaces of which are openly accessible, making it easy to clean. as well as polishing and electroplating is made possible without restrictions.
These properties are achieved through the use of two tongue-shaped projections attached to each instrument part, which come to lie on or under the corresponding projections of the other part. If the instrument is spread so much that these projections no longer coincide, the cohesion of the two parts is broken and they can be separated from one another.
On the accompanying drawing sheet, a pair of pliers for surgical purposes is shown as an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the pliers in the closed state; Fig. 2 shows the two pliers parts dismantled side by side and shows the tongue-like projections a to a3, which in the example are each arranged in front of and behind the axis of rotation b.
The projection a located on the pliers part drawn on the left engages over the projection ai of the other part, the projection a2 of the left pliers part over the projection a3 of the part provided on the right.
Fig. 3 shows the two pliers parts in the axis of rotation crossed one on top of the other, in such a large spread that they can be separated from each other; FIG. 4 likewise shows the two pliers parts lying crossed on top of one another in the axis of rotation, but less spread apart than in FIG. 3, so that the projections are already so far below or below. encompass that the parts can no longer fall apart;
5 shows the pliers seen from the edge side, the overlapping of the projections of the two parts being evident.
As a rotation axis respectively. Any known or unknown pin, screw or other shaped elevation in one part and a correspondingly shaped hole or other recess in the other part can be used as a figuring device arranged at the turning point.
The axis of rotation can also only be effected by the fact that the frictional rotating surfaces of the two instrument parts have such edges, which are sharply set off from the rest of the higher material and are correspondingly partially circular, that a third organ marking the axis of rotation. is superfluous.
A special embodiment is also possible in this way. that all four projections before, instead of being distributed on both sides of the axis of rotation, are concentrated on one side, so that either in front of or behind the axis of rotation two overlapping pairs of projections are attached. This version, too, with projections only in front of or only behind the axis of rotation, ensures that the parts are guided reliably.
Another embodiment is to prevent too great a spread of the working instrument during its handling and thereby an undesirable falling apart of the parts ver by adding slight increases on one or both of the pairs of projections on their contact sides, which as a lock. Act.
The use of this lock is naturally not limited to working instruments with crossing legs, but is also possible and given for those with diverging legs, such as those mainly used for dilation purposes.
From a special medical point of view, the advantages of the lock described are as follows: The parts of the working instrument are not weakened in the lock by slots and the like; there is therefore no resulting risk of breakage. The gait and the friction of the two parts against each other remains gentle and even.
From an aseptic point of view, it is of decisive importance that a working instrument can be easily dismantled and cleaned in a relatively simple manner thanks to this lock without auxiliary equipment, whereby the complete high-gloss polishing made possible by the type of construction still enables a durable electroplating, which is good Creates a sliding effect and makes any soiling or rusting difficult.
