Description
Motor chassis, in particular for trolley buses and similar vehicles. The invention relates to motor chassis, in particular for trolley buses and similar vehicles with wheels, which are independently sprung and each provided with a special drive motor. In the known chassis the water type, the drive motors are arranged near the inner end of the half-axes of the wheels extending approximately over half the chassis width.
Since the mass of the drive motors are quite considerable, especially for heavy buses, the specified arrangement of the motors requires a lot of space especially in the middle of the chassis and thus requires a high lying car body floor, so high car body and overall focus. However, with trolley buses and similar vehicles in particular, the lowest possible position of the floor of the vehicle, especially in the middle of the vehicle, where the walkway between the seats is, is extremely desirable. A deep arrangement of the car body floor is made possible according to the invention in that the motors are arranged laterally away from the center of the chassis.
The drive motors of the wheels and the associated wheels are expediently arranged on different sides of the chassis center and the wheels are mounted on pendulum axles that are longer than half the chassis width, with each drive motor on the pendulum axle of the associated wheel between this wheel and the from the wheel from beyond the chassis center pivot point of the Pen delachse is preferably arranged in the immediate vicinity of the same.
The motors can also be arranged on the side of the center of the chassis facing away from the associated wheels, however, so that the articulation points of the pendulum axles are between the motors and the wheels they drive, so that the weights acting on both sides of the articulation point the pendulum axis is at least partially balanced.
In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated, namely FIG. 1 shows an embodiment in outline, partially in section, FIG. 2 shows this embodiment in end view and FIG. 3 shows a slightly modified embodiment with ending below the wheel bearing journal Drive shafts.
Each of the wheels 1 of the chassis is through a spur gear 2, 3, a drive shaft 4 and possibly a second spur gear 5, 6 in connection with an electric motor 7. The pendulum axis, which is expediently driven by a drive shaft 4, and the gear 2, 3 and 5, 6 enclosing housing 4a is formed, is pivotable about the line Y, because it is articulated with lugs 8 to fixed parts 9 of the chassis, which are connected to the vehicle frame or car body 10. The total length d of the pendulum axis is therefore much greater than that of the usual pendulum axes.
The gears 2, 3 set the drive shafts belonging to a pair of wheels together with pendulum axles so far apart in the horizontal direction that there is plenty of space between them in the longitudinal direction and the journals of both wheels are nevertheless in the same vertical transverse plane. The space between the two drive shafts is even so large that the motors 7, as can be seen, find space between them. Are the ends of the drive shafts 4 and the pinions 3 at the same height as the journals of the wheels and the gears 2, as is the case with the execution example according to FIGS. 1 and 2 ', there is enough space below the bench seats Motors available.
The height V1 of the floor of the aisle is, as can be seen borrowed, much lower than the height V under the seats, whereby the entire car body is lower than if the motors are arranged in the center of the chassis and the pendulum axes are also hinged in the center of the chassis.
If, as shown in FIG. 3, the scoring 3 at the ends of the shafts 4 is arranged lower than the bearing journals of the running wheels 1 and the gears 2, there is a further substantial reduction in the height V 'of the floor below the side seats and the height V'1 of the floor of the central corridor.
The specified embodiments also have the advantage that the axes are designed in exactly the same way. Instead of pendulum axles, other wheel bearing devices can of course also be provided in which the wheels are independently sprung.
