Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Versandgefässen mittelst eines den Deckel am Gefäss festlegenden quergeschlitzten Spannringes. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Versandgefässen mittelst eines den Deckel am Gefäss festlegenden quergeschlitzten Spann ringes.
Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass der Spannring an seinen Enden dies- und jenseits des Querschlitzes mit je einem Anschlag versehen ist, und dass getrennt davon ein Spannhebel mit zwei zum Ansetzen an diese Anschläge dienenden Spannbacken vorgesehen ist, wobei diese Backen am Hebel derart angeordnet sind, dass Sie nach ihrem Ansetzen an den Anschlägen des in Verschlusslage befindlichen Spannringes durch Verschwenken des Hebels zwangsweise einander genähert und dadurch jene Anschläge unter Festziehen des Spannringes auf dem Gefäss gegeneinander geführt werden.
Zweckmässig ist der eine Anschlag des Spannringes mit einem biegsamen Lappen versehen, welcher im Verschlusszustand zur Sicherung des Verschlusses um den andern Anschlag des Spannringes umgefalzt werden kann. Dabei kann dieser Lappen so ausgebil- det sein, dass er das Anlegen einer Sicherungs- Plombe gestattet. Es kann hierbei auch vor teilhaft sein, diesen Lappen am erstgenannten Anschlag starr zu befestigen und ihn am andern Anschlag mit einer dort vorgesehenen Führung in Eingriff zu bringen, um ein passendes Gegeneinanderführen derAnschläge zu sichern.
Auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen standes dargestellt.
Fig. 1 zeigt die Vorrichtung in Oberansicht an einem Versandgefäss im Schlusszustand; Fig. 2 ist ein teilweiser Vertikalschnitt durch Gefäss, Deckel und Spannring, Fig. 3 zeigt die mit den Anschlägen ver- sehenen Endteile des Spannrings in entspantem Zustand; Fig. 4 ist ein Längsschnitt nach Linie IV-IV von Fig. 3, während Fig. 5 die Vorrichtung von der Innenseite im Aufriss darstellt.
Zum Verschliessen eines Versandgefässes, zum Beispiel eines Blechfasses A, dient der Deckel B, welcher am Gefäss durch einen Spannring C festgelegt wird. Der Spannring C ist quergeschlitzt und an seinen Enden dies- und jenseits des Querschlitzes mit je einem Anschlag a bezw. b versehen.
Getrennt vom Spannring ist ein zum Anzug des Spann ringes dienender Spannhebel D Träger von zwei gelenkig daran angeordneten Spann backen dl, d=, die dazu dienen, an die beiden Anschläge cc, <I>b</I> des in Verschlusslage befind lichen Spannringes C angesetzt zu werden, um sie durch Verschwenken des Hebelgriffes d zwangsweise einander zu nähern und da durch den Spannring auf dem zu verschliessen den Gefäss festzuziehen.
Der eine Anschlag <I>a</I> ist mit einem biegsamen Lappen /'versehen, während der andere Anschlag b eine als Führung für den Lappen f dienende Schlitz öffnung b aufweist, durch welche vor An ziehen des Spannringes der Lappen f hin durchgeschoben wird, wobei letzterer im Verschlusszustand, wenn also die Anschläge einander genähert sind (Fig. 1) zur Sicherung des Verschlusses um den Anschlag b um gefalzt wird. Der Lappen f, der am Anschlag a zum Beispiel fest angelötet ist, weist ebenso wie der Anschlag c, selbst eine Öffnung g auf und ist an seinem freien Ende mit einer weitern Öffnung h versehen.
In ungefalztem Zustande des Lappens f decken sich diese beiden Öffnungen g und<I>h</I> und gestatten da durch leicht das Anlegen einer Plombe. Der Hebel D ist vollständig lösbar vom Spann ring; er dient nur zum Schliessen desselben und kann wiederholt benützt werden. Seine Backen<I>d',</I> d2 sind so ausgebildet, dass sie sich rittlings über den Spannring C, nachdem derselbe um den Randwulst x des Gefäss körpers (Fig. 5) und den Deckelfalz y gelegt worden ist, überschieben lassen, um für das Zusammenziehen der Anschläge a, b die nötige Stütze und Führung am Gefäss zu erhalten.

The invention consists in that the clamping ring is provided with a stop on both sides of the transverse slot, and that a clamping lever is provided separately with two clamping jaws serving for attachment to these stops, these jaws being arranged on the lever in this way that after they have been applied to the stops of the clamping ring in the closed position by pivoting the lever they are forced to approach each other and thereby those stops are guided against each other while tightening the clamping ring on the vessel.
One stop of the clamping ring is expediently provided with a flexible tab which, in the locked state, can be folded over around the other stop of the clamping ring to secure the lock. This flap can be designed in such a way that it allows a security seal to be applied. It can also be advantageous here to rigidly attach this tab to the first-mentioned stop and to bring it into engagement at the other stop with a guide provided there in order to ensure that the stops are brought together appropriately.

To close a shipping container, for example a sheet metal drum A, the lid B, which is fixed to the container by a clamping ring C, is used. The clamping ring C is slit transversely and at its ends on both sides of the transverse slot with a stop a respectively. b provided.
Separated from the clamping ring, a clamping lever D serving to tighten the clamping ring is supported by two clamping jaws dl, d = articulated thereon, which serve to attach to the two stops cc, <I> b </I> of the clamping ring in the closed position C to be set in order to forcibly bring them closer to one another by pivoting the lever handle d and then to tighten the vessel by means of the clamping ring on the one to be closed.
One stop <I> a </I> is provided with a flexible tab / ', while the other stop b has a slot opening b serving as a guide for the tab f, through which the tab f is pushed through before the tension ring is pulled is, the latter being folded in the closed state, so when the stops are approached (Fig. 1) to secure the lock around the stop b. The tab f, which is firmly soldered to the stop a, for example, has, like the stop c, itself an opening g and is provided with a further opening h at its free end.
In the unfolded state of the flap f, these two openings g and <I> h </I> coincide and thus easily allow a seal to be applied. The lever D is completely detachable from the clamping ring; it only serves to close it and can be used repeatedly.
