  Apparat zum Aufweichen alter Wandtapeten     mittelst    Dampf.    Alte Tapeten, die vor dem     Neutapezieren     von einer Wand entfernt werden sollen, las  sen sich sauberer und rascher abschaben,  wenn sie mitsamt dem Kleister zuvor     mit-          telst    Dampf aufgeweicht werden. Zu diesem  Zweck sind schon Apparate konstruiert wor  den, deren Leistung aber nicht befriedigte,  weil der Dampf nicht stark genug auf die  Tapeten einwirkt, sondern grösstenteils in  der Luft kondensiert.  



  Beim Apparat gemäss der Erfindung wird  der Dampf einem nach einer Seite hin offe  nen Behälter mit Griff zugeführt, welcher  den Dampf über dem vom Behälter über  deckten Tapetenstück zusammenhält. Durch  den     Luftabschluss    wird erreicht, dass das Ta  petenstück in kurzer Zeit mit Kondensat ge  sättigt und aufgeweicht wird. Der mit dem  Entfernen der Tapete beschäftigte Arbeiter  hat dann mit der einen Hand den Behälter  weiterzuschieben und mit der andern Hand  das aufgeweichte Stück Tapete abzuschaben.  



  Die Zeichnung zeigt schematisch ein Aus  führungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes  im Schnitt. Der Dampf strömt aus einem  tragbaren Dampfkessel A durch den Schlauch    B einem Behälter C zu. Der Behälter C ist  flach und mit Griff versehen. Er ist auf einer  Seite offen und kommt im Betrieb mit dieser  Seite auf die Wand E zu liegen.  



  Es empfiehlt sich, das entstehende Kon  densat, soweit es nicht von der Tapete auf  gesaugt wird, zur Schonung der Fussböden  im Behälter selbst aufzufangen. Zu diesem  Zweck ist unten am Behälter ein Kondensat  sammler D vorgesehen.

  In the apparatus according to the invention, the steam is fed to a container with handle that is open on one side and which holds the steam together over the piece of wallpaper covered by the container. The exclusion of air ensures that the piece of carpet is quickly saturated with condensate and softened. The worker who removes the wallpaper then has to push the container on with one hand and scrape off the softened piece of wallpaper with the other hand.



  The drawing shows schematically an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention in section. The steam flows from a portable steam boiler A through hose B to a container C. The container C is flat and provided with a handle. It is open on one side and comes to rest on wall E with this side during operation.



  It is advisable to collect the resulting condensate in the container itself to protect the floors, unless it is sucked up by the wallpaper. For this purpose, a condensate collector D is provided at the bottom of the container.

UNTERANSPRUCH: Apparat nach Patentanspruch, gekenn zeichnet durch einen am Behälter vorgesehe nen gondensatsammler.
