Pendant étanche. Il existe des pendants étanches dans les quels on a introduit, pour empêcher la péné tration de l'eau dans le mouvement, des garnitures en caoutchouc, en liège ou eti@ uir. Ces trois matériaux se sont révélés impropres à maintenir l'étanchéité voulue pendant un certain temps. Ils se décomposent, se pulvé risent, ou se durcissent au contact du métal et leur effet diminue de jour en jour.
L'objet de la présente invention est un pendant étanche dans lequel toutes les par ties soumises à l'usure sont métalliques et sont combinées pour s'emboîter les unes dans les autres de façon à assurer même après un grand usage une fermeture hermé tique. Ce pendant est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une assise conique solidaire de la carrure et concentrique à la tige de remon toir, assise dans laquelle pénètre un cône d'étanchéité porté par la tige de remontage et appuyé par un ressort dans ladite assise conique.
Une telle construction ne perd pas ses qualités d'emboîtage même lorsqu'elle a un certain temps d'usage. Le dessin représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'inven tion, en coupe par un plan passant par l'axe de la tige de remontage.
La couronne est en deux pièces a et b emboîtées l'une dans l'autre et creuses. Elles réservent à leur intérieur un chambrage c dans lequel est disposé un ressort d prenant appui dans le fond de la couronne pour pres ser sur une rondelle e concentrique à la tige de remontoir. Cette dernière est fixée comme d'ordinaire par vissage dans la couronne.
Sous la rondelle e se trouve un cône annulaire d'étanchéité f qui reçoit la pres sion du ressort d et qui tend de ce fait à pénétrer dans une assise conique g prévue à l'extrémité d'un tube h venu d'une seule pièce avec un manchon i soudé à la carrure. A l'intérieur de ce manchon est prévue une rainure k dans laquelle pénètre un prolonge ment de la partie b.
Lorsque la tige de remontoir l a été repoussée en place, après une mise à l'heure par exemple, le ressort e est bandé; il appuie le cône d'étanchéité dans l'assise conique g. L'arête circulaire au bout de ce cône serre suffisamment sur la tige de remontoir pour ne laisser passer aucune humidité.
Lors du remontage de la montre, le cône d'étanchéité tourne dans l'assise conique g et s'il se produit une usure, celle-ci est tou jours rattrapée par la pression du ressort d. La partie de la couronne qui pénètre dans le manchon i offre déjà passablement de résistance au passage de l'eau, mais cette dernière est tout à fait interceptée par l'obsta cle constitué par la combinaison du cône d'étanchéité avec l'assise conique et avec la tige de remontoir.
