Fig. 16 bis 18 zeigen wiederum drei wei tere Ausführungsformen.
Material proximity lifting device for lathes. With automatic lathes or the like that process bar-shaped material and cut off the workpieces one after the other from the bar, the material bars are processed except for a short remnant. The feed of the material is usually caused by a so-called feed pliers, which clamps the material rod tightly and resiliently and, controlled by a control shaft, advances the material rod at the given time against a material stop, which limits the exact feed length.
If the material bar has now been processed, with the exception of such a short remainder, that the feed tongs can no longer advance a full length of the workpiece, the machine must be automatically shut down to avoid not only faulty work, but above all damage to the To prevent tools that arise, for example, from the fact that the centering tool is unable to center due to insufficient material feed,
so that the following hole drill touches the uncentered material at will, the drilling starts eccentrically and as a result breaks off.
After the automatic shutdown of the machine as a result of the material rod being used up, after the material clamping device is usually opened by turning the control shaft handrails, the material residue must be removed or ejected through a new material rod inserted from the rear end of the work spindle after the Material stop was lifted by hand or swung out to remove the material residue or. to be able to expel.
Then must (and with considerable effort, due to the firm clamping of the feed tongs) the new material rod by hand or advanced so far. be pushed forward so that it protrudes a little from the collet and the parting tool can just over-turn the front end.
Only now can the automatic operation of the machine be re-engaged by the worker concerned, so that the next time the control shaft rotates, the material rod can be pushed as far as it will go and the proper work of all other cutting tools can begin again in order to produce the workpieces in quick succession until the material bar is again used up and a new material bar has to be inserted.
This introduction of the material bar requires a number of hand movements each time and thus a not inconsiderable loss of time when introducing each new material bar, which is still considerably enlarged because the worker who operates the machines usually operates 5 to 8 machines of this type, so that he cannot always introduce a new bar of material when a machine is running out because he is busy changing or sharpening the tools on one of the other machines, for example, or introducing a bar of material on one machine while several machines are running out almost simultaneously .
In addition to the idling of the machines during the actual introduction of new material bars, the machine is idling almost every time from the time of the automatic shutdown until the start of the introduction of the material bars, because the worker does not have to do this for the reasons given It is possible to immediately load each machine with a new bar of material, so that the resulting reduced performance of each machine during the day due to the frequent loss of time is a very significant one.
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce this loss of time, which greatly affects the actual performance of the machines, to the lowest conceivable level by using a relatively simple device, that is to say to increase the actual performance of the machine to such an extent that the same can work almost continuously, apart from the sharpening of the tools and the like, while at the same time disturbances due to insufficient advance of the remaining piece of material are reliably avoided.
The new device makes it possible to introduce the new material rod in an appropriate embodiment of the same, after the rear end of the material rod in processing has just left the guide tube. There is then still a longer piece of the material bar being processed in the work spindle, for the complete processing of which it is still necessary a relatively long time.
During this time, if the new equipment is used, the worker operating the machine can, depending on how the operation and supervision of the other machines permit, introduce the new bar of material; So he has enough time to ensure that the machines, apart from sharpening the tools and the like, work continuously without any loss of time due to the introduction of new material rods, whereby each time a number of manipulations are saved when inserting the material rods.
The invention ensures that the worker only has to insert the next material rod into a feed pipe or the like at some point in the course of a considerable period of time and then has nothing more to do with the material rod change, since this is done automatically at the right time with the least conceivable Loss of time and going on in the right way.

Fig. 9 shows another position of the parts shown in Figure 5 in the same presen- tation manner; 10 shows a development of four jacket curves used in the machine on a larger scale; 11 to 13 are front views, partly sections, of three further Ausfüh approximate forms; Figure 14 is a section on line 14-14 of Figure 13; FIG. 15 shows a part of a jacket curve used according to FIG. 13 on a larger scale;
16 to 18 again show three further embodiments.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 10 will first be described.
The lathe spindle to be driven by means of pulley 1 is denoted by 2. In it lies the collet to be controlled by means of the clamping sleeve 3 in a known manner from a jacket curve 4 and the feed chuck to be controlled by means of the sleeve 5 from a jacket curve 6. These two pliers work in the given rhythm together with the also common material stop 7,
which is moved every time during the material feed before the end of the material being processed rod 8, but then again steps aside to the end face: the material rod for: the processing by the work tools to release.
The cam grooves 4 and 6 belong to a cam drum 6a which is attached to the control shaft 9 in a known manner. In this case, this control shaft still carries the cam disks 10 respectively necessary to move the tool slide. connected by bevel gears, the cam 11. The control shaft receives its drive by means of worm and worm gear 12, shaft 13, bevel gear pair 14 from a gear shaft 15 and the countershaft 17 equipped with drive belt pulley 16.
The material guide tube 18 of the machine is mounted in the exemplary embodiment in a well-known manner on stands 19 and 20 and swingable by means of the pivot 21 about the axis .des stand 20 to allow the introduction of a material rod into the tube 18 from the machine side.
Fig. 4 shows at 18 'the guide rod in the swung-out state.
In FIG. 1 it is assumed that while the material bar 8 is being processed, a new material bar 22 is lying in the guide tube 18. On this rod acts in the rear end of the guide tube 18 sliding push rod 23, which is equipped with a flag 24, which the latter passes through a slot 25 of the tube 18 to the outside and there is pulled by a rope or the same 26 that is over the guide roller 27 runs and on which a weight consisting of the two parts 2'8 and 29 hangs, in its place also corresponding springs or other gaseous or liquid,
can occur on corresponding pistons or derglei chen acting pressure medium. In the position according to FIG. 1: the sum of the two weights exerts a force on the push rod 23, which is transmitted to the material rod 22 and: this pushes the material rod 8 that is being processed.
The push rod 23 is coupled to a sleeve 31 running on the tube 18 by a rod 30. A beveled nose 32, which can interact with an angle lever 33, is seated adjustable in its longitudinal direction on this' sleeve. Fig. 1 shows how the angle lever 33 has been swung through the nose 32 in a counterclockwise direction ent.
This oscillating movement is transmitted by means of rod 34 to a double lever 36 fixed at 35 ge superimposed and Wei terhin, through the rod 37 to a fixed at 38a angle lever 38 with nose 39, the latter influencing a coupling under the action of spring 40. The part 41 of this coupling is firmly seated on a shaft 42 on which a so-called Maltese cross 43 is also be fastened at the other end.
The one pin wheel 44 belonging to the Maltese cross gear is attached to an inter mediate shaft which carries the spur gear 45 which engages with a spur gear 46 on the control shaft 9, so that the shaft 42 periodically starts from the control shaft 9 via the Maltese gear is driven.
On the shaft 42 sits loosely rotatable, secured against axial displacement, a cam drum 48 and on the hub @ same a secured against rotation, but axially displaceable, influenced by the spring 40 coupling part 47. This has a recess on its circumference with an inclined surface 47a which, after one revolution, causes the nose 39 of the angle lever 38, which has fallen back into the recess, to push the coupling part 47 back into the disengaged position in a known manner.
The cam drum 48, which is usually held in its rest position by the spring-loaded locking pin 48a springing into a corresponding detent of the cam drum 48, has two cam grooves 49 and 50. The cam groove 50 influences a double lever 51, one arm of which is on the gear shaft 15 and her opposite to Dre hung secured sliding coupling part 52 controls.
The two pairs of gears 53, 54 and 55, 56 of the transmission are in constant mesh with one another. The gears 53 and 55 are firmly connected to the shaft 17. The gears 54 and 56 can rotate loosely on the gear shaft 15. In the position shown in Fig. 1, the coupling part 52 is in engagement with the coupling teeth of the gear 54, so that the control shaft 9 is driven by the pulley 16 via the gears 53 and 54.
A reversal of the clutch by moving the clutch part 52 in a handle with the clutch teeth of the gear 56 would result in the control shaft 9 being driven at a different (lower) speed.
In the blantelkurvennut 49 engages around the fixed pivot 57a swinging urinkelhebel 57, one arm of which is designed as a Ku lisse 58, into which a pull rod 59 engages with the pin 59a acting as a pull rod, which is attached to the double lever 61 swinging around the pin 60 62 is steered to. The double lever 61 is under the action of a tension spring 63 and, through the intermediary of the joint part 64, grasps with its other end a tongue 65, the leg of which tries to maintain a spring 66 in the closed position.
The pliers are straightened by means of slides 6 7 on a suitable guide track 68 and cooperate with a driver 69 of the sleeve 31 in such a way that when the sleeve 31 moves from left to right, the corresponding beveled front surface of the driver 69 to cooperate with the also abge beveled counter surfaces of the pliers legs push them apart and enter the pliers (position according to FIGS. 2 and 8), so that it is now possible
by moving the pliers 65 to the right on the miter 69 to pull the sleeve 31 also to the right.
A rod 70 is also articulated to the double lever 61, which grips on a curved segment 72 pivotably mounted at 71. On the circumference of this segment 72 runs the pin 73 of a straight line in the vertical direction of the rack 74. In the toothing of this rod engages a Xitzel 75 which is fixed on the shaft 76, on which the stop lever 7 is also fastened. Raising the rack 74 causes the stop lever 7 to swing out of the position according to FIG. 5 into the position according to FIG. 9.
1 and 2, the pin 73 of the rod 74 rests in a recessed point on the circumference of the segment 72. In the position according to FIG. 3, it and thus the toothed rod 74 is raised by an increase on the circumference of the segment and thereby the stop lever 7 has been swung out into the position according to FIG. 9, so that the stop is lifted out of the axis of the material rod.
At a cross section 74 a of the rack 74, the fork head of an angle lever 77 also engages, the other arm of which runs on the cam disk 78 of the control shaft 9. This cam 78 has to swing the stop lever 7 by means of the cam lever 77 each Weil when the work, material feed is finished and the processing of the material rod end is to begin.
The above-described impact of the nose 32 on the lever 33 had the lifting of the pin 39 from the movable coupling part 47 and thereby the engagement of the clutch 41, 47 under the action of the spring 40 and continued the entrainment of the cam drum 48 by the Maltese cross gear regularly driven by partial rotations shaft 42. The now following five partial rotations of the Maltese cross, which in this case is provided with six grooves, and the now entrained cam drum 48 influence the levers 51 and 57 through the during this time from a to b (Fig. 10) the curve grooves do not yet run around.
Only with the sixth partial turn of the Maltese cross respectively. of the cam drum 48, that is from b to r ,, which takes place simultaneously with the rotation of the cam drum 6a from rd to e, the bar of material is processed except for a remainder, which can no longer be moved by the feed gripper by a whole workpiece length . In this sixth Teildre hung now the levers 51 and 57 of the bulges of the jacket curves 50 respectively. 49 swung out into the position shown in FIG.
The lever 51 controls the interchangeable coupling of the shaft 15 in such a way that the control shaft 9 is now driven from the pulley 16 with a greater ratio, that is to say more slowly than before. This has the purpose of allowing the following replenishment, etc. processes to take place slowly so that no damaging shocks occur when the control shaft 9 rotates relatively quickly at high output; in the case of low output and thus slow rotation of the control shaft 9, the reversal can remain under, since in this case no harmful impacts can occur.
The angle lever 5 7 has raised the lever arm 59 during its movement by means of the link 58 and thereby brought its nose 79 into the region of the nose 80a of a lever 80 which can swing around the pin 81 (FIGS. 2 and 14) and from the cam groove 6 is moved. The lever 80 transmits its movement through the displaceable pin 80b (FIG. 14) to the lever 80d swinging around the fixed pin 80e, whose fork head moves the sleeve 5 with the feed tongs.
Previously came. The weight 29 to Aufsit zen and thus the subsequent material rod 22, as well as the sleeve 31 in the Stel ment according to FIG. 2, so that now only the weight 28 acts via the rope 26 on the push rod 23 for the purpose to keep the rope 26 taut.
In the position of the parts according to FIG. 2, the nose 80a of the lever 80 has collapsed behind the nose 79 of the lever arm 59 and the driver 69 of the sleeve 31 has entered the pliers 65.
As soon as the lever 80 is now swung out by means of the cam groove 6 (from d 'to e', FIG. 10) counter to the direction of rotation of the clockwise, it takes the lever arm 59 acting as a pull rod on the nose 79 and also the tongs 65 and , on the driver 69 the sleeve 31 as well as the push rod 23 and the material rod 22 rapidly by a larger step than corresponds to the normal rod feed by means of the feed tongs.
At the same time, the stop lever 7 is pivoted to the side by means of the rod 70 and segment 72, so that the advance of the material rod 22 results in the ejection of the remaining piece 8 and the position according to FIG. 3 is reached. As the cam drum 48 continues to rotate, the link 58 and thus the lever 59 are lowered again to such an extent that the action of the lever 80 ceases and the lever 61 can now swing back into the position shown in FIG. 1 under the action of the spring 63.
Furthermore, the shaft 15 is reversed again by the lever 51, so that now the control shaft 9 is driven again at the normal paint, greater speed and by means of rod 70 and segment 72 the stop lever 7 is again allowed to fall into the operative position and only to follow the cam 78.
The normal work of the machine thus begins again, with the parting steel usually first over-turning the front end of the material rod 22 protruding a little from the collet. The next time the control shaft 9 revolves, the material rod 22 is pushed up to the stop 7 and the processing of the material rod is now carried out by the cutting tools in a known manner until the rear end of the same has left the guide tube 18.
The worker can now insert a new material rod 22 into the guide tube 18, which is curved to the side in a known manner, whereby the push rod 23 is pushed back as far as necessary so that the sleeve 31 is withdrawn and the weights 28 and 29 are raised. Due to the swinging out of the guide tube 18 with the sleeve 31, the driver 69 has come out of the area of the pliers 65 and can now not be prevented by the latter from moving back.
If the tube 18 is then pushed back, the newly inserted material rod 22 is placed on the material rod 8 which is still being processed.
The nose 32 on the sleeve 31 is set so that only when the last normal piece is processed on the rod 8, the previously described, from the angle lever 33 outgoing changes are made, so when the control shaft 9 is slowed down the material stop 7 in the swung-out position and then by means of the pliers 65 the newly supplied rod 22 is quickly advanced so far that the rod remnant 8 is ejected and the new rod 22 is just moved forward so far that when normal work is resumed the machine of the parting tool can just turn over the front end of the bar.
For the purpose of a widely visible display of when the material being processed rod left the guide tube 1.8 and the introduction of a new material rod is possible and will soon be required, a device shown in FIGS. 2 and 7 is provided. At the Kur ventrommel 6a a nose 82 is attached to the side, which cooperates with the beveled nose of an angle lever 83. The latter is under .the action of a compression spring 84 and engages the forked end of a double lever 85, the rear arm of which carries the spring bolt 88, which in turn acts on a sensor arm 87 pivotable about shaft 86.
With each revolution of the cam drum <B> 61 '</B> with the nose 82, the feeler arm 87 is flexibly pressed against the material rod 22. If the material rod 22 is advanced so far that the feeler arm 87 no longer finds any support, the now enlarged oscillating movement causes a signal disc 89 to be directed to: the position 89 'by any movement device not shown in detail. 1) The disk, which is now swinging upwards, clearly shows that a new material bar can be inserted.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 11, the intermediate switch is respectively. Antriebvor direction, which is arranged according to the first exemplary embodiment on the shaft 42, omitted, together with the parts required for it. So it will raise the lever 59 acting as a pull rod by way of coupling with lever 80 immediacy bar from the rod 34 depending on the movement of the angle lever 33 acts. Here, the lower arm of the double-armed lever 36, as shown in FIG. 11, can cause the drive of the control shaft 9 at a lower speed by moving the hitch part 52.
This simplified embodiment can be used in particular where long work pieces are cut off from the material rod, whereas the according to the first embodiment on the shaft 42 to interposed Zwis.chenschalt- BEzw. Drive device in the production of shorter pieces of wood is useful in order to process the material that is still in the gripping surfaces of the feed tongs down to such a short residue,
that the feed tongs can no longer advance a full length of the workpiece when it moves again.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 12, a special cam 90 on a special cam drum seated on the control shaft 9 is provided for the production of the overhauling supply movement by means of the tongs 65 and the coupling 47, 41 is accordingly also arranged on the control shaft 9 .
So that in this case the overtaking feed movement takes place at the same time as the normal feed movement, i.e. during the time in which the cutting tools are not working, in this case the coupling 41 has only one tooth, the associated coupling part 47, however, with six recesses and accordingly, the curve 90 is provided with six ascents and six descents. The clutch 4 7 respectively. the curve 90 is accordingly disengaged again after a rotation entrainment of <B> 60 ', </B> during which the feed movement takes place.
The influence of .the pin 39 of the angle lever 15, double lever 36 and rod 34 as a function of "the", "angle lever 33" is the same as previously described.
In this embodiment, there is also no need to slow down the rotation of the control shaft 9 while the new rod is being fed in.
The embodiment according to Fig. 1: 3 to 15 shows how a known device can be used after the material bar has been used up, the neces sary operations when replenishing the new bar, for example engaging the supply movement, switching the control shaft to slower pace and the same. The initiation of these processes: which can also be done by any other device serving the same purpose, is here made dependent on the jumping off of the feed tongs from the remainder of the bar.
If the feed tong jumps off, it is possible for the pin (roller or the like) 80e of the lever 80 running in the curve 49 to enter a bulge 91 of the curve 49 laterally under the action of the correspondingly tensioned coil spring 81a and to enlarge it To step out of oscillation behind the nose 79, which in this case sits on the lever 51 as a locking pawl: so that the following oscillation:
of the lever 80 counter-clockwise the reversal of the drive of the control shaft 9 by means of the movable coupling part 52 and the engagement of the coupling 47, 41 and thereby the drive of the drum with the curve 90 results in their mode of operation corresponds to FIG. 16 shows a particularly simple design for manual operation. In this imple mentation form, the machine can be shut down in any known manner if the material bar just machined is used up.
The worker then has to initiate the feed movement of the new material bar 22 by means of a hand lever 92 or a foot lever 93. By moving this lever is directly, with the help of the joint piece 64 .the pliers 65 moved and by means of rod 70 .the stop lever 7 pivots to the side. The beveled end of the rod 70 meets at the end of this movement against a fixed inclined nose 94, which an oscillation off of the rod 70 and thus release of the lifting segment 72 results.
A respectively with the hand lever 92. The lever arm 95 coupled to the foot lever 93 is assigned to the coupling sleeve 96 for engaging the drive of the control shaft 9 in such a way that that coupling is re-engaged at the end of the processes described above.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 17, an automatic lathe with an auxiliary control shaft 96 is shown, in which the drive of the interposing or switching. At the drive device, which according to the first exemplary embodiment is net angeord on the shaft 42, not from the main control shaft by a Maltese gear,
but from the tensioning and feed cam drum 97 seated on the auxiliary control shaft 96 (which is actuated by the cam 99, release lever 100 and clutch 101 seated on the main control shaft 98) via the gears 102 to 105 with a certain transmission ratio (in this case 1: 6) he follows.
Otherwise, this embodiment corresponds to that according to FIGS. 1 to 10, the lever 59 acting as a pull rod also being coupled in the same way to the lever 80, thereby causing the pushing motion of the pliers 65.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 18, too, the intermediate switching or switching takes place. Drive device which, according to the first exemplary embodiment, is arranged on the shaft 42, in a manner similar to that in FIG. 17 via the gear wheels 102 to 105 from the tensioning and feed cam drum 97. If, however, the clutch 47 is switched on, a cam 106 then rotating with it will swing the double-armed lever 107 counterclockwise and actuate the release lever 109 through the rod 108.
This causes the clutch 110 to fall into the gear 111, which is constantly driven by the drive pulley 16 and provided with clutch teeth, so that the clutch 110 and thus the cam drum 112 can perform one revolution. The feed movement is then effected by lever 61 and pliers 65. Switching on the clutch 110 takes place. mediated by the double-armed lever 113, the clutch 114 is simultaneously switched off and the auxiliary control shaft 96 is switched off, so that both the auxiliary control shaft 96 and the main control shaft 98 driven by it are stopped during the feed movement.
After one full revolution of the clutch 110, the clutch 114 and the auxiliary control shaft 96 are disengaged, and the main control shaft 98 is driven again.
Of course, in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS any appropriate embodiment can be omitted if this device does not appear appropriate, especially for the processing of shorter workpieces (to process the material still in the gripping surfaces of the feed pliers).
Likewise, in the embodiment according to FIG this itself, if necessary via an intermediate gear.
In this case, the tensioning and preload cam drum 97 would sit on the control shaft 98 and the cam drum 112, which is temporarily coupled to the continuously rotating drive 111, would only rotate partially (for example <B> 60 '</B> similar to FIGS. 12 and 13 ), the control shaft 98 being switched off at the beginning of the partial rotation and switched on again after the same.
Other embodiments are of course also possible within the scope of the invention. In particular, it is possible to use parts that are shown in one drawn embodiment, also in one or more of the other execution forms, for example the device for slowing down the Gan ges rler control shaft can also be used where it is not shown for example in Figs. 12, 16 and 18.
Finally, it is possible to use the otherwise already known or other practical auxiliary devices in conjunction with the improvements pertaining to the invention.
