Height-adjustable chair. The height-adjustable chair according to the main patent is still in need of change as the locking member is trapped in a cage to secure it on the chair. It has been shown in practice that the attachment of this cage to the chair frame presents difficulties.
To improve the chair in this respect is the purpose of the present additional invention. According to this, a spring arrangement is provided for securing the locking member both with respect to the A handle in one of the notches provided on the chair shaft and on the chair itself.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 is a view of the chair, with parts in section; Fig. 2 shows a section, but on a larger scale; Fig. 3 is a vertical section of a detail.
The chair according to the Ausführungsbei game has a frame 1 which has a vertical tube 2. In this tube 2, the shaft 3 of the chair seat 4 is also formed from a tube. The shaft 3 has in a line with. Notches 5 provided at a distance from one another, which are preferably formed by millings in the shaft 3. These Ra most 5 have a horizontally extending edge 5 'at the top and have an inclined path 5 "at the bottom.
The tube 2 has a milled recess 6 which ends in a sack-like depression 10. 9 is a roller forming the locking member. Near its ends, this roller 9 has offsets 12, into which the ends of a dust jacket spring 13 are suspended. The screw spring door 13 is placed around the tube 2 and thus secures the roller 9 on the chair.
At the same time, the spring 13 seeks to pull the roller 9 into the milled recess 6 and recess 10. If the latter allows one of the notches, then the roller 9 lies in the recess 10 and at the same time engages in the notch in question, where it holds the chair seat 4 in the corresponding height position. The recess 1 (1 also secures the chair seat 4 against twisting with respect to the frame 1.
If id-er IStuhlsitiz 4 is to be set higher, the same is simply raised, the inclined path 5 ″ of the notch 5, with which the roller 9 cooperates, the roller 9 under tension of the spring 13 on the periphery: of the shaft 3 and the roller 9 slides into the next notch. 5 to go to Losla:
seen of the chair seat with this notch 5 to determine the seat again together. If the seat is lifted by more than one notch 5, the roller 9 slides in front of the transition into the Ra to be exceeded 5 to be referred back to the shaft periphery through their lower inclined tracks 5 ".
If the chair seat 4 is set lower who the, it is first raised and about. 90 rotated. Here, as shown in FIG. 3, the roller 9 comes into contact with a zone of the shaft periphery which is unaffected in the axial direction of the shaft by the milled grooves 5, so that the seat 4, with the roller 9 sliding on the shaft periphery, follows can be moved down.
If the desired setting is approached, the seat is rotated back to the normal angular position to the frame 1, whereupon the roller 9 enters the next detent 5 coming into the area of the inclined path 6 and locks the seat 4 against further downward movement.
The adjustment of the drawn chair is carried out, as in the main patent, without having to adjust or loosen or determine any means, simply by moving the seat, which means that the design and handling of the chair is the simplest imaginable.
The locking member could also be designed differently than roller-like and, for example, also be represented by a ball, where the notches would then receive tas-like shape. In this case, if the .Stuhlsitz is to be secured against twisting, two balls and accordingly two rows of such pocket-like racks can be provided on the seat shaft. The spring arrangement could in this case consist of one or two leaf springs.
