Montre sport. L'invention a pour objet une montre sport qui est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un support destiné à être adapté à une cein ture, et une montre normalement engagée et maintenue dans un encastrement dudit sup port, de manière que le fond de cet encas trement et la. face indicatrice de la montre soient adjacents, la. boîte de la montre étant reliée au support par une charnière permet tant de faire pivoter la. montre sur son sup port et de la dégager ainsi de l'encastrement pour en laisser apparaître les organes indi cateurs.
Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention.
La fig. 1 la représente de face, le support, de la montre étant adapté à une ceinture et tient lieu de boucle de ceinture; La fig. 2 est une projection en plan de la fig. 1, la montre proprement dite étant représentée dégagée de l'encastrement du support, en laissant apparaître les organes indicateurs; La fig. 3 montre le support en coupe sui vant la ligne III-III de la fig. 1, la montre proprement dite étant dessinée en traits mix tes dans les deux positions qu'elle occupe aux fig. 1 et 2.
La montre sport représentée comporte un support 1 qui tient lieu de boucle de cein ture. Ce support comprend une partie mé diane profondément entaillée du côté anté rieur, de manière qu'elle forme un encastre ment 2. Les deux ailes du support 1. présen tent une section transversale en forme d'un U et portent, l'une, deux barrettes 3, et l'au tre une barrette 4. A cette dernière barrette est attachée, par une ganse 6, l'une des extré mités de la ceinture 5. L'autre extrémité de la ceinture; formant un repli, passe à frotte ment gras entre les barrettes 3 qui maintien nent ainsi par coincement cette extrémité de la ceinture, tout en permettant d'allonger ou de raccourcir la longueur utile de la ceinture pour l'ajuster à la taille. Z désigne un cou lant qui maintient le brin replié de la ceinture.
Dans l'enca trement 2 du support 1 est lo gée la montre proprement dite 8 dont la boîte est reliée au support par une charnière 9. La montre, dont 10 désigne la couronne de remon tage et de mise à l'heure, est disposée de telle manière dans l'encastrement 2, que le fond de ce dernier, légèrement bombé, et la face indi catrice de la montre, recouverte d'un verre chevé 11, soient adjacents, tandis que le fond de la boîte de la montre arrive à fleur des ailes du support. La montre 8 est maintenue dans l'encastrement 2 du support par une fermeture à pression comprenant deux ver rues 12 prévues sur les côtés de la boîte et engagées dans deux encoches latérales corres pondantes de l'encastrement 2.
Un ressort de secret habituel (non représenté air dessin), agissant sur la montre 8, tend sans cesse à faire pivoter cette dernière sur son support, autour de la charnière 9, de manière qu'elle se dégage de l'encastrement 2 et soit amenée dans la position représentée aux fig. 2 et 3, où apparaissent les organes indicateurs de la montre. Ainsi, la lecture de l'heure est fort aisée, car il suffit que le porteur de la cein ture, par une légère pression, dégage la mon tre de son support et la laisse basculer, pour ,qu'il ait le cadran sous les yeux.
Après la lecture de l'heure, la montre est repoussée dans l'encastrement 2 du support, où elle se renclenche et se trouve maintenue à nouveau par la fermeture à pression. Il est bien entendu que la montre 8 pourrait être soumise à un ressort de fermeture agis sant en sens contraire de celui préconisé dans le présent exemple; ce ressort aurait donc la tendance de faire rentrer et de rete nir la montre 8 dans l'encastrement 2 du support. Le support 1 pourrait être adapté à la ceinture 5 par différents moyens, ceux dé crits et représentés au dessin n'étant donnés qu'à titre d'exemple.
L'objet de l'invention est par excellence la montre du sportsman qui, de plus en plus, abandonne les bretelles et choisit de préfé rence la ceinture pour soutenir son pantalon. Cette montre est d'un port fort original; elle est pratique et moins exposée aux chocs et à l'humidité que la montre-bracelet. Il im porte naturellement que le fond de la boîte de montre soit relativement épais et résistant.
Le fond et le support de la montre peu vent être décorés, par exemple gravés ou émaillés, et être ornés d'appliques ou de pierres précieuses. Le décor pourrait repré senter un insigne, un emblème, des armoi ries, un monogramme, une inscription, etc.; l'ensemble de la montre sport adaptée à la. ceinture étant toutefois construit de manière qu'il dissimule autant que possible la véri table nature et le but de l'objet en imitant l'aspect d'une boucle de ceinture habituelle.
Il est sous-entendu que l'expression "montre sport" comprend non seulement la montre civile, mais aussi la montre chrono graphe, le compteur de sport et autre va riantes d'instruments à marquer ou mesu rer le temps et susceptibles de constituer l'élément essentiel de l'objet de l'invention.

The sports watch shown comprises a support 1 which acts as a belt buckle. This support comprises a median part deeply notched on the anterior side, so that it forms a recess 2. The two wings of the support 1. have a U-shaped cross section and one carries two bars 3, and the other a bar 4. To this last bar is attached, by a loop 6, one of the ends of the belt 5. The other end of the belt; forming a fold, greasy rubbing pass between the bars 3 which thus maintain this end of the belt by wedging, while making it possible to lengthen or shorten the useful length of the belt in order to adjust it to the waist. Z designates a neck which keeps the folded part of the belt.
In the frame 2 of the support 1 is housed the actual watch 8, the case of which is connected to the support by a hinge 9. The watch, 10 of which designates the winding and time-setting crown, is arranged in such a way in the recess 2, that the back of the latter, slightly convex, and the indicator face of the watch, covered with a pegged glass 11, are adjacent, while the back of the watch case arrives flush with the support wings. The watch 8 is held in the recess 2 of the support by a pressure closure comprising two worms 12 provided on the sides of the case and engaged in two corresponding side notches of the recess 2.
A usual secret spring (not shown in the drawing), acting on watch 8, constantly tends to cause the latter to pivot on its support, around hinge 9, so that it is released from recess 2 and either brought into the position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, where the indicator organs of the watch appear. Thus, reading the time is very easy, because it suffices for the wearer of the belt, by light pressure, to release the watch from its support and let it tilt, so that it has the dial under the eyes.
After reading the time, the watch is pushed back into recess 2 of the support, where it snaps into place and is held again by the snap closure. It is understood that watch 8 could be subjected to a closing spring acting in the opposite direction to that recommended in the present example; this spring would therefore have a tendency to bring in and retain the watch 8 in the recess 2 of the support. The support 1 could be adapted to the belt 5 by different means, those described and shown in the drawing being given only by way of example.
The object of the invention is par excellence the watch of the sportsman who, more and more, abandons suspenders and preferably chooses the belt to support his pants. This watch is very original; it is practical and less exposed to shocks and humidity than the wristwatch. It is of course important that the back of the watch case is relatively thick and strong.
The back and the support of the watch can be decorated, for example engraved or enamelled, and be decorated with appliques or precious stones. The decoration could represent a badge, an emblem, a coat of arms, a monogram, an inscription, etc .; the whole sport watch suitable for the. belt being however constructed in such a way that it conceals as much as possible the true nature and purpose of the object by imitating the appearance of a usual belt buckle.
It is understood that the expression "sports watch" includes not only the civilian watch, but also the chronograph watch, the sports counter and other variations of instruments to be marked or measured and capable of constituting the time. essential element of the object of the invention.
