Time delay relay with two measuring devices. It is known to test a line length by measuring the quotient of a function of the voltage and a function of the current, that is to say the resistance. It has also already been proposed that such measurements be used both directly to switch off faulty LPii: nnLrS lines and to display the distance from a fault location.
If, however, the pointer of a measuring device makes a contact with good K'onlal: tdriiek for this purpose, or if it is supposed to trigger a movement mechanically, it cannot assume its exact position of equilibrium corresponding to the measured size; because a force effect to the outside arises with a measuring device only when its rotating system respectively. its pointer is prevented from precisely taking its equilibrium position.
Each measuring device can only meet one requirement; either it can show the exact value of the quantity it has measured, or it can develop an externally effective force but at the expense of accuracy. The invention eliminates this deficiency for line protection relays, which should switch off the line when the ratio of a function of the voltage and a function of the current, for example the resistance of the monitored line section drops below a given value. The line protection relay according to the invention has two measuring devices which measure this ratio.
As soon as the said ratio drops below a given value, the first measuring system applies the force which is required to cause the circuit breaker to trip. The other measuring system, however, assumes its exact equilibrium position. The triggering of the line switch depends on the position of the system measuring the exact ratio.
The line protection relay according to the invention can therefore have the accuracy achievable for a measuring device, in addition to the ability to develop sufficient mechanical forces for triggering a switch. Because the triggering of the line switch depends on the position of the precisely setting measuring system, the line protection can only be activated when a line fault has actually occurred in its protected area.
The accuracy of the setting of one measuring system can then be very high because the system only needs to apply the force to move its free-floating pointer.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
The first measuring device is labeled F. It consists of a Ferrarz disk 'ä9, which is under the influence of two electromagnets 37 and' 38 provided with short-circuit rings. So that the two fields do not act on one another in an unintended manner, the Ferrari disk 39 is provided with a slot 71. The magnet 37 is excited by a current coil 55 and the magnet 38 by a voltage coil 62. The Ferrari disk 39 sits on a shaft 40 which also carries a contact arm 41.
A screw spring 70 tries to remove this contact arm from a stationary mating contact 42. The field of the voltage magnet 38 generates a rectified torque, so that the contact arm 41 is held back, although the field of the current magnet 37 seeks to bring the contact 41 into contact. The directions in which the coil spring 70 and the two magnetic fields act are indicated by arrows. However, as soon as the resistance falls below a certain amount as a result of a line fault, the voltage coil 62 receives less, the.
Current coil 55, on the other hand, generally has more current, so that the torque acting in the sense of a contact closure gains the predominance and closes the contact. As a result, the current of a battery 45 flows via the lines 43 and 46 through a coil 44, which pulls an iron core 25 upwards and thereby causes movements that will be described below. The second measuring device has three systems <I> A, B </I> and C. The system A consists of a current magnet 1 and a rotatable coil 2, which consists of one and a half turns, preferably made of aluminum. It sits on a shaft 3 and the current is fed to it through mercury contacts 4.
The second system consists of current magnets 10 and a Ferrari drum 7, which is also seated on shaft 3. The third system C consists of a pair of current magnets 11 and a pair of tension magnets 12. A Ferrari drum 8, which is also attached to the shaft 3, rotates in the common field. Fixed iron cores which are not visible in the drawing are arranged within the Ferrari drums 7 and 8; they serve to reduce the resistance of the magnetic paths of the lines of force.
The shaft 3 carries at its lower end a pointer 9, which can generally move freely and whose display position clearly speaks ent against the congestion of the line circuit. Because the movable current loop 2 generates a torque that is a function of the square of the current strength, while the Ferrari drum 8 generates a torque that is a function of the product of voltage and current strength.
It is known that, as a result, the pointer 9 adjusts so that its deflection angle is a clear function of the quotient of these two variables, that is, a function of the resistance in the line to be monitored. The arrangement is preferably made so that the pointer 9 shows the reactance. The Ferrari drum 7 does not generate any torque at all, but only has the purpose of damping the movement of the rotatable systems, with a damping air that increases proportionally with the current strength.
A drop bracket 21 is arranged above the display area of the pointer 9 and can be rotated in bearings 22. It is held in the raised position by a spring 23. At its free end a rod 24 is articulated, which carries the iron core 25 already mentioned at its lower end. As soon as this is lifted by the coil 44, the drop bracket 21 is pressed down against the train of the spring 23 until it strikes the pointer 15, which it presses on a pad 14 immediately below. Here, the hanger bracket 21 can make three movements of different sizes, depending on the position of the pointer 9. The end face of the drop bracket has namely three parts 21 ', 21 ", 21"' of different widths.
If the line section to be monitored and its neighboring section are OK, the resistance is high and the pointer 9 is in the area of the widest part 21 '; the case bow 21 then makes no appreciable movement. If, on the other hand, there is a short circuit within the line to be monitored, the resistance is low. The pointer 9 is positioned at the opposite end of its display area, that is to say in the area of the narrowest part 21 'of drop bracket # 4. As a result, the drop bar makes its greatest movement.
If, on the other hand, the error is within the neighboring section, the pointer is within the area of part 21. "The drop bracket 21 then makes a smaller movement.
A toothed rack 26, which engages with a toothed wheel 27, is attached to the rod 24. This carries the mating contact 29 and rotates about an axis 28, about which a second gear 30 can also be rotated, in which an engine 34 engages. The gear 30 is prevented by a lock: 36 from moving. The lock 36 is attached to the rod 24. As soon as the rod moves upwards, the lock 36 is lifted off, and the gear 30 is driven by the engine 34 at a constant speed. The gear 30 carries a contact piece 32 which brings about a current circuit as soon as it reaches the mating contact 29.
If the core 25 is attracted by the coil 44 while the pointer 9 is in the area of the clip-on bow part 21 ', there is a short circuit in the line section to be monitored; the mating contact 29 is brought closer to the movable contact 32 within a short distance. The contact closure takes place in a shorter time, for example. after a second, instead. If, on the other hand, the fault is in the neighboring section, the part 21 ″ of the drop bracket acts; the mating contact 29 is brought less close to the movable contact 32, and the contact closure therefore only takes place after a long time, approximately after two seconds.
If the pointer 9 is in such a way that the part 21 '"of the halyard strikes it, the mating contact 29 is practically not at all approached to the movable contact. This then either reaches it not at all or only after an even longer time, for example about three seconds. The triggering of the switches after three seconds could be an option in the event that the oil switches on the disturbed section have failed.
The lines of the line section to be monitored are labeled S and T, the line being assumed to be a single-phase line section with outward and return lines for the sake of simplicity. A lying in the line T current transformer 47 is used to feed the current coil 51 via the line 48, furthermore the current coil 50 and the current coil 11; Furthermore, via the line 53, the current coil 55, from which a line 54 leads back to the current transformer 47.
In the line 48 a special small current transformer 52 is switched on, which excites the coil 2, with an increased current intensity, with it. the current loop is sufficient to develop a sufficiently large torque. A voltage converter 56 connected to lines 8 and T feeds voltage coil 59 via lines 57 and 58 and, at the same time, voltage coil 62 via lines 60 and 61. The oil switch for both lines S and T is denoted by 64. It is actuated by the trip coil 63, which lines 65 and 66 on the Lei.
Through these lines, the trip coil 63 receives power as soon as the. Contacts 29 and 32 touch. The quotient relay F does not have to display all the different values of the line resistance precisely. It is sufficient if it brings about the contact closure 41, 42 when the resistance drops below a certain value and thereby develops a sufficiently large torque.
The exact display of the error location, however, takes over the pointer 9; if the fault is not within the line section to be monitored, it prevents the oil switch 64 from being triggered, even if the relay F has brought about a contact closure.
Electrical contacts <B> 13 </B> are arranged on the base 14, over which the pointer 9 plays. These can expediently also lie within the area of the drop arm part 21 '. Each of these contact pieces 13 closes a circuit as soon as a mating contact 15 attached to the pointer 9 comes into contact with it, and these circuits can be used to operate a remote display device. In addition, as soon as the pointer 9 is pressed down by the drop bracket 21, it touches drop flaps 16. These are carried by two-armed levers 72 which are rotatable about an axis 18 and have counterweights 73 for compensation. They can be rotated with so much friction that they remain in their position once they have been assumed.
As a result, a flap 16 depressed by the pointer 9 indicates the location of the fault even if the pointer 15 should have assumed a different position in the meantime. The depressed drop flap is reset by hand.
