Supply valve device for pressurized fluid brakes. The present invention relates to a supply valve device for pressurized fluid brakes, comprising a pressurized fluid supply chamber with a piston and an associated supply valve, and it has the particular feature that this piston and this valve are mounted inside a sheath made in one piece and housed inside said supply chamber of the device.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is an overall longitudinal section thereof: FIG. 2 is a detailed cross section taken along line 2-2 of FIG. L, and fig. 3 is an end view of a guide member for the piston rod.
The device shown comprises a box 1 with a pressurized fluid supply chamber and an adjustment chamber, the first comprising a piston 2 contained in a cylindrical housing 3 and a sliding drawer 4 contained in a space 5 and arranged to be actuated. by the rod 6 of the piston 2. The adjustment chamber comprises a flexible diaphragm 7 subjected on one side to the pressure of an adjustable coil spring 8, and an adjustment valve 10 subjected to the action of a spring coil 11 and the guide vanes 9 of which are integral with a head 91 engaging with the second side of the diaphragm 7. This side of the diaphragm is subjected to the pressure of the brake general pipe by the branch 40 of that -this.
A sleeve 12 made in one piece is provided to receive the piston 2 and the drawer 4. This sleeve is machined so as to constitute, in part of its length, the seat for the drawer 4 and, in another part, the cylindrical housing for the piston 2 and is provided with an annular flange 13 arranged to engage with a gasket 14, located between the ends of the sleeve, the right end thereof (fig. 1) being applied on a gasket 15. The sleeve 12 is held in position by a removable cap 16 with the interposition of a gasket 17. The right end (fig. 1) of the rod 6 of the piston 2 is provided with a mistletoe head dage 18 fitting into a corresponding hollow in the sleeve 12 and having a number of helical grooves 19.
A duct 20 communicating with the piston chamber 3 is provided in the cha skin 16 and communicates, by means of a throttle pad 21, with a compartment 22 made in the box 1. The pad. 21 has a narrowed central channel 23 (fig. 2) and transverse radiating openings 24. The compartment 22 is connected, on the one hand, to the main air reservoir (not shown) of the brake by means of a pipe 25. On the other hand, it communicates with the drawer space 5 and the space on the corresponding side of the piston 2 through windows drilled in the sleeve 12.
The conduit 20 is connected to a valve chamber 26 enclosing the regulating valve 10 mounted in a sleeve 27 having a seat for this valve and which is provided with an annular rim 28 which is applied to a gasket 29. A screw cap 30 removably screwed into the box 1 and lying in axial alignment with the valve 10 is provided with an annular collar 31 arranged to engage with the flange 28 of the sleeve 27 and apply it to the gasket 29.
The sleeve 27 fits smoothly into a corresponding housing of the box 1, so that in the event that it needs to be replaced, it can be easily removed with the fingers and replaced by a new one, after What, the screw cap 30 being replaced, it serves to put the new calf sleeve in the correct position relative to the diaphragm 7, so that the valve 10 will be in place with respect to said diaphragm.
The one-piece sheath 12 can also be easily removed when desired and replaced with a new one. For this purpose, it is fitted with sufficiently soft friction in the corresponding parts of the box that it can be easily removed by hand. The helical grooves 19, with which the guide head 18 of the rod 6 of the piston 2 is provided, establish communication between the spaces located on either side of this guide head, but thanks to their helical shape, the edges are prevented. of these grooves to bite into the material of the oven ring 12 during the reciprocating movement of the piston, in the operation of the device, as could occur with straight grooves.
In addition, all fouling parts can be scraped off and picked up in these grooves so as not to stick between the guide head 18 and the guide wall of the sleeve 12.
The arrangement of the radiating orifices 24, which are also of narrowed section, in the throttling buffer 21 is intended to always have a free passage available for the fluid, because if the channel 23, for example, were to become blocked at the mouth of dirt or. other foreign bodies, there would always be one or more of the radiating orifices 24 which could allow the fluid to pass. At the same time, the passage of the fluid will always be limited to the passage section determined by the central channel 23 of the choke buffer 21.
