Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr.. 11433d. Nembrandichtung.
Additional patent to main patent no. 11433d. Membrane seal. The invention relates to a membrane seal in which the membrane, which has the shape of an inverted tube, has a cylindrical seal housing on the wall and at another point on a reciprocating piston movable in the latter is fixed,
so that the size of the stroke is independent of the outer diameter of the tube forming the membrane. According to the invention, the membrane has the shape of the tube turned inside out, where the inner part of the membrane is attached to the reciprocating piston and the two outer ends of the membrane are attached to the diaphragm housing, in such a way that within the Membrane an annular cavity is formed which is filled with a pressure medium whose pressure is higher than the maximum pressure in one of the two to be sealed against each other the spaces.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing by means of an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section, and Fig. 2 is a cross section through the same. The membrane has the shape of a tube that is turned inside out at both ends, with an upper part yes and a lower part lb, so that the membrane has an inner part and two outer parts l "' The middle of the inner part l ' is attached to a constriction of the piston 6 in FIG. 1 by a cord 11 or in any other suitable manner a -un tern cover 12 of the seal housing is out, attached.
A tube 13, which is screwed to a tube 14 at the top, is welded to the cover 12. The ends of the outer parts 1 ″ of both membrane parts 1 a and 1 b are attached to the die housing in that these ends are fixed between a ring 15 and the tubes 13 and 14. are inhibited.
In this way, a hermetically sealed annular space C is formed within the double everted membrane. To fill this space with a pressure medium, a pipe 16 leads into the interior of the ring 15 , which can be cut off and closed after filling. The pressure within the space C is dimensioned in such a way that it is always greater than the highest pressure in one of the opposing, ilizudie, litenclen spaces A and B.
As a result, the membrane always maintains its stretched position, in which it looks with the inner ZD part I ' smoothly against the piston 6 and with the l ; li i Bern parts V 'lay flat against the housing parts 13 and 14.
If, for example, the pressure in the space A increases compared to that of the space B, the piston 6 is moved upwards, the lower part 1b of the membrane moving unwinds from the tube 13 and the unwound part lies against the circumference of the piston, while the upper part of the membrane deviates from the piston 6 , - elt and e01 n the inner wall of the tube 14 lays.
-10 ne The reversed movements occur with 2n en pressure increase, in room B opposite that in room A. In the case of the diaphragm rotation The pressure fluctuations can be such that the pressure lower part between the spaces A and B can fluctuate from a positive amount to a negative amount and vice versa, without the diaphragm losing its tensioned shape.
The membrane can be made of elastic material, in which thin traction elements running in the longitudinal direction are embedded, which have no cross connections with one another, so that the membrane is in a radial direction Sehlaneh cross section is stretchable,
in 'der Läli - srielltuno # of the hose, on the other hand, at t' t 'normal stress it does not stretch. The fastening of the membrane i 'to the piston and the housing can also be any arbitrary here, provided it only ensures a perfect seal.
