Schlauch.
Tube. The subject of the present invention is a hose, the novelty of which is that a sealing cord is wound into the outer joint of a metal hose consisting of a helically wound, profiled metal band, which is wound through a rubber hose surrounding the metal hose, which is passed through a rubber hose surrounding it outer sheath is pressed against the metal hose, is pressed firmly and yet elastically into the joint. A wire, hemp or cotton braid, for example, can be used as the outer covering, while asbestos is advantageously used for the sealing cord.
An exemplary embodiment of a hose designed according to the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 7 shows a view of the same, partially with exposed inner parts, and FIG. 2 shows an axial section.
In the drawing, a denotes a metal hose which, in a known embodiment, is made from a helically wound, profiled metal strip. b is an asbestos cord which is inserted into the joint or channel e formed on the outer circumference of the metal tube and running helically around it.
A rubber hose c is drawn over the metal hose, and the latter is fully enclosed by an outer covering d formed by a braid, for example made of wire, hemp or cotton, which presses the rubber hose against the metal hose and thereby the Sealing cord b presses firmly but elastically into joint e.
Instead of the arrangement of the wire braiding, the rubber hose can also be wrapped with an ordinary flat band wound around it in a helical manner or enclosed by a metal hose which, however, is not pushed over, but the band used for its production is wound directly onto the rubber jacket so that the rubber hose rests fully on the inner metal hose, respectively. is adapted to this. .
When using, for example, asbestos cord as a sealing cord, the hose described can advantageously be used for liquids which would attack the rubber seal (e.g. petrol, petrol, oils, greases, etc.) because the liquids do not come into contact with the rubber hose can come.
