Drive device on rotary printing machines with auxiliary drive. In the known drives on rotary printing machines, in which an auxiliary motor is used to operate the machine at a very low speed when pulling in the paper, while the machine is driven during printing by a main motor at a higher speed, It is customary to connect the two motors to the machine using an overhaul clutch. As soon as the main motor assumes a higher speed after being switched on, the part of the clutch connected to the main motor overtakes the part connected to the auxiliary motor; this switches off the auxiliary motor.
The subject of the invention is a drive for a rotary machine, in which the auxiliary drive is also switched off automatically after the main motor has been switched on. An overrunning clutch is not required with the new drive. This also eliminates the need to extend the shaft journal, which was otherwise required; a bearing is saved and a normal main motor can be used.
According to the invention, when the auxiliary drive is switched on, a switching wheel that can be driven from an auxiliary drive shaft engages with a wheel seated on the main drive shaft; when the main engine starts up, this ratchet wheel is disengaged like the one; this interrupts the connection between the auxiliary drive and the main drive shaft.
The drawing shows a Ausführungsbei game of the invention, namely Fig. 1 shows the. Drive device in a schematic representation, partly in view and partly in section; Fig. 2 shows it in side view; Figures 3 and 4 show details.
The gear 3 seated on the shaft 1 of the auxiliary motor 2 meshes with the gear 4 which sits on the auxiliary drive shaft 5. On this shaft 5, a second gear 6 is fixed and also a three-armed lever 7, 8, 9 is loosely rotatably arranged. On the arm 9 of the three-armed lever, the pull rod 10, which is under the influence of the brake magnet 11, engages with a spring 12 interposed. On the arms 7 and 8 of the three-armed lever rods 1: 3 and 1-1 are hinged, the levers with the brake 15 and 16 are articulated.
In addition, a shift lever 17 is loosely rotatably arranged on the auxiliary drive shaft 5; In this shift lever, a gear 18 is superimposed on the one hand with the gear 6 and in the position shown in Fig. 1 also with the gear 21 mounted on the shaft 19 of the main motor 20 meshes. On your arm 7 of the three-armed lever 7, 8, 9, a pawl 22 is also attached.
Against the part located to the left of the fulcrum the water pawl 22 presses a spring 23 fastened to the housing BE when the lever 7, 8, 9 is in the position shown in Fig. 1 with solid lines, whereby the pawl 22 out of contact with the Switching lever 1 ″ i is brought. When the three-point lever is in the position shown in dashed lines, the spring 23 presses against the part of the pawl 22 located to the right of the pivot point, so that it engages in a notch 4 of the switching lever 17 can.
The machine can be driven by hand using a crank attached to the square 25. The rotation of this crank is transmitted through the bevel gears 26, 27 and the gears 28, 29 to the manual drive shaft 31_). The auxiliary drive shaft 5 can be coupled to the manual drive shaft 30, namely in that the gear 4 is shifted on the shaft 5 so far that it meshes with the pinion 31 seated on the shaft 30. The shift of the gear wheel 4 happens. by turning the shaft 32 by hand, for example by means of a crank attached to this shaft.
On the shaft 32 sits the double lever 33, 34, the lower part of which is fork-shaped and engages in a recess of the sleeve 35 seated on the shaft 5, which with. the gear 4 is firmly connected. The shaft 32 can be secured in its position by a means not particularly shown in the drawing, for example by snapping a spring into a detent. When the shaft 32 is rotated, the upper part 33 of the double lever 33, 34 compresses a spring 36, which in turn presses against the eye 38 arranged on the bolt 37. The bolt 37 is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 on a larger scale.
It is slidably mounted in a bolt guide attached to the housing .10 and is provided in its center with a recess 39 in which the switching lever 17 can move when the lever 33, 34 is in the position shown in FIG.
The device now acts as follows: When the auxiliary motor 2 is switched on, the pull rod 10 is moved upwards by the brake release magnet 11. As a result, the three-armed brake lever 7, 8, 9 from the position shown in dashed lines in the drawn position drawn from. The brake levers 9, 15, 16 are rotated as a result and the brake is released. The pawl 22, which was pressed in the initial position by the spring 23 against the switching lever 17 and consequently engaged in the notch 4, turns the switching lever 17 from the knitted position into the drawn-out position when the three-armed lever is moved.
As a result, the ratchet 18 mounted in the shift lever 17 is in: the. The toothing of the gear 21 seated on the shaft 19 of the main motor 20 is incorporated. When the three-armed lever has reached the position shown in solid lines, the spring 23 presses against the part of the pawl 22 located to the left of the pivot point, which is thereby released from the notch in the lever 17. Shocks that can arise when a switch on the ratchet wheel are absorbed by the spring 12 which is connected between the brake linkage 10 and the arm 9 of the three-armed brake lever.
The auxiliary motor 2 has now set in motion and drives the auxiliary drive shaft 5 and thus also the ratchet wheel 18 through the toothed rider 3 and 4. This rolls in the teeth of the toothed wheel 21 sitting on the main drive shaft until the shift lever 17 with the stop 41 hits against the locking guide 40. Then the gear 21 is set by the ratchet 18 in motion ge. As long as the auxiliary motor is being used, the ratchet will remain in its position.
When the main motor is switched on and the tooth flanks of the wheel 21 assume a greater speed than that of the ratchet wheel 18, this is pushed out of the switched-on position by the tooth flanks .des wheel 21; the shift lever 7.7 then falls back due to its weight in its ur nal, dashed position to back and is held in this .by the stop 42, which is supported against the bolt 37.
When the main motor 20 is switched off, the brake release magnet 11 is de-energized. The brake lever 7, 8, 9 consequently falls back into the position shown in dashed lines and the pawl 22 is pressed by the spring 23 into the notch 24 of the shift lever 17, so that the next time you turn on the shift wheel 10 back into the teeth .des motorcycle can be pushed.
The machine can also be driven by the hand drive shaft 30, which is rotated by a crank pushed onto the square 25 NEN. For this purpose, the shaft 32 is rotated in the manner described above, the lower, fork-shaped part 34 of the double lever 33, 34 shifts the gear 4 so far on the shaft 5 through the intermediary of the sleeve 35 that it meshes with the gear 31 . The upper arm 33 of the double lever 33, 34 compresses the spring 36 here. The bolt 37 lies against the shift lever 17. Simultaneously with the rotation of the shaft 32, the brake release magnet 11 is switched on.
By moving the three-armed brake lever 7, 8, 9, the ratchet 18 is pressed into the teeth of the gear 21 seated on the main drive shaft 19 in the same way as when the auxiliary motor is switched on. When the wheel 18 is in the position shown in FIG. 1, the bolt 37 faces the incision 43 of the switching lever 17. The bolt 37 is consequently pushed into this incision 43 by the spring 36 and the ratchet wheel is thereby held in its position. The gear 21 and the shaft 19 can accordingly hen by the hand crank 25 forward and backward dre.
If the manual drive is now switched off again by turning the shaft 32, the bolt 37 is pushed back again by the arm 313 of the switching lever 33, 34; the ratchet wheel remains in the position shown in FIG. 1. It is unlocked and can fail when the main engine starts up.
