Cadran en nacre et métal. L'objet de la présente invention est un cadran en nacre et en métal. Ce cadran est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une mince feuille métallique portant le dispositif pour la fixation du cadran au reste du mou vement et dans laquelle est encastrée une mince feuille de nacre. De cette faon, on pourra, pour la construction de ce cadran, prendre une feuille en nacre très mince puisqu'elle se trouve renforcée par la feuille métallique sousjacente. Ceci permettra, en outre, d'exécuter facilement sur la feuille de nacre différents travaux qu'il était difficile de faire jusqu'à maintenant sans risquer d'endommager la feuille.
Pour la confection du tour d'heures, on pourra par exemple incruster, dans la nacre, une bande métallique portant des chiffres horaires, en émail par exemple, ou bien sertir dans la nacre, pour chaque chiffre, une plaquette métallique portant le chiffre, en émail.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention. La fig. 1 en est une vue en plan; la fig. 2 est une coupe par II-Il de fig. 1.
Le cadran représenté est octogonal et comprend une feuille métallique a dont le pourtour est relevé verticalement en ai et dans laquelle est encastrée une feuille en nacre b. En recourbant la partie supérieure du rebord al contre la feuille b, on sertit celle-ci solidement dans la feuille de métal; celle-ci porte, sur sa face inférieure, les pieds habituels c pour la fixation du cadran au reste du mouvement. Au centre de la feuille de nacre est encastrée une plaquette métallique et rectangulaire d portant diffé rents ornements. Le tour d'heures, également rectangulaire, est disposé autour de cette plaquette métallique.
Les chiffres en sont peints sur la nacre, mais on aurait pu les obtenir aussi en sertissant dans la nacre une ou plusieurs plaquettes portant des signes horaires en émail.

The dial shown is octagonal and comprises a metal sheet a whose periphery is raised vertically at ai and in which is embedded a mother-of-pearl sheet b. By bending the upper part of the flange a1 against the sheet b, the latter is crimped firmly into the metal sheet; this carries, on its underside, the usual feet c for fixing the dial to the rest of the movement. In the center of the mother-of-pearl leaf is a rectangular metal plate bearing various ornaments. The hour circle, also rectangular, is arranged around this metal plate.
The numbers are painted on the mother-of-pearl, but they could also have been obtained by crimping in the mother-of-pearl one or more plates bearing hour signs in enamel.
