Abstract

In this invention, sheets of foamed polymeric material Ethylene vinyl acetate or various combinations containing this material or its other copolymers, have improved characteristics due to a special pronounced contoured surface.
DESCRIPTION
Ethylene vinyl acetate sheets with contoured surface in the form of cells.
This invention relates to a special advanced pronounced contoured surface, in the form of cells, of the front side of Ethylene vinyl acetate sheets.
The reverse side of the sheet can have either a smooth surface or a special pronounced contoured surface.
The invention may be used as a basis for the manufacture of protective coverings, rugs and other products for various purposes. The invention may be used as a protective covering for the floors of vehicles both inside the cabin and in the luggage compartment in general and preferably, but not limited to this application alone. It is also possible to use it as a protective covering for yachts, boats, at the entrance to premises, houses, bathrooms, during construction work and for taking care of animals.
Ethylene vinyl acetate material has a huge amount of advantages:
- has extraordinary lightness;
- has properties close to polyethylene, but surpasses it in strength and transparency;
- withstands deformation and returns to its original shape;
- elastic, flexible, resilient;
- has acoustic and thermal insulation properties;
- suitable for thermoforming;
- perfect buoyancy and low water absorption;
- has increased adhesion to various materials;
- has excellent shock absorption and dielectricity;
- resistant to chemicals;
- not subject to decay;
- durable in operation.

Description

Brief description of the contents of the figures To complement the written description and to facilitate understanding of the characteristics of the invention, there is attached a descriptive set of drawings, in which, by way of illustration and not limitation, the following are presented:
- Fig. 1 shows a fragment of a floor mat, made according to the invention of Ethylene vinyl acetate material, with pyramidal cells and with a hexagon-shaped base.
- Fig. 2 shows a fragment of a floor mat, made according to the invention of Ethylene vinyl acetate material, with pyramidal cells and a triangle-shaped base.
- Fig. 3 shows a fragment of a floor mat, made according to the invention of Ethylene vinyl acetate material, with pyramidal cells and a diamond-shaped base.
- Fig. 4 shows a fragment of a floor mat, made according to the invention of Ethylene vinyl acetate material, with pyramidal cells and a square-shaped base.

The bottom (4) of each cell (3) can be flat (truncated pyramid or cone) (Fig.
7), acute-angled (Fig. 8), but it is best to have a rounded surface formed by smoothing the bottom of the cell (Fig. 6).

Claims

Possible solutions to practical problems using this invention:
This invention may be used for the production of car floor mats, but is not limited to this field of application.
Mats may be of different colors and shapes according to the contour of the car floor or luggage compartment of vehicles, as well as they can have different densities and different thicknesses.
Since the present invention is mostly used for the production of car mats, the mat can have a special pronounced contoured surface in the form of cells on the front side, the order of the cells can be both diagonal and rectilinear.
Side surfaces of cells may form two variants of shapes: pyramidal shape and conical shape, but not limited only to these shapes. The base of cells may have a different shape, the side surfaces of each cell may have a different angle relative to the base plane, and may also be located at the same angle of inclination and have a different angle of inclination of one or more sides, relative to the plane of the base. The distance between cells may be either the same, or different. Cells may have protrusions above the plane of the base, and may also be equal to the base of the plane. These protrusions may have either smooth tops or an acute-angled shape.
On the reverse side, mats may have a smooth surface or a special pronounced contoured surface, and may also be glued or sewn or otherwise bonded to another material.
The edge of the mat can have tape edging in a variety of materials and colors.
Mats may have Velcro or other types of fastening, and may or may not use the original fastening in a vehicle or boat.

At the moment, rubber and textile mats are widely used.
Rubber mats collect water, dirt from the shoes of the driver and passengers in rainy or winter weather on the surface of the rubber mat.
If water or dirt gets into it, the shoes of the driver and passengers come into contact with it, and this does not provide comfort to the driver or passengers, since the shoes turn out to be wet and dirty on subsequent trips.
An additional minus the accumulated water and dirt while driving can overflow over the edge of the rubber mat and spill onto the floor of the car, which will lead to contamination of the carpet and corrosion of the underside of the car. The same goes for the luggage compartment of a car and other vehicles.
Textile mats absorb liquid and dirt, which can subsequently lead to freezing in winter and the formation of ice, and in summer to an unpleasant odor and fogging of windows inside the car.
This invention best solves this problem.
Thanks to its pronounced contoured surface, the invention is very effective in retaining water and dirt from the driver's and passenger's shoes.
Dirt and water settle into the cells, which protects from overflowing the edge of the protective mat when the vehicle is moving. When using this invention, shoes and clothes, as well as the interior of the car, remain clean and tidy.

Possible other applications of the invention:
This invention may be used for other purposes, such as a protective covering for luggage compartment of vehicles, protective covering for yachts, boats, at the entrance to premises, houses, bathrooms, during construction work and for taking care of animals, a mat for a pet toilet, to keep debris and prevent it from spreading.
The application of the invention is not limited only to the above-mentioned areas and may be applied and used for the production of other goods and be part of other inventions.
