Abstract

Abstract The pin pointer is a portable golf alignment and training tool that can be used at every stage of the golf course, from the initial tee or drive, to the fairway and on the putting green. It is so portable and easy to use that it can be used in game situations as well as practice sessions. Unlike other devices it is a "practice as you play" tool for everyday use.
The small potable device consists of:
An arrow shape that is used to point at the target line the golfer wants to aim at.
Marking for Heel placement that allows the user to position their feet and align their body and stance.
The pointer has a hole to place a tee on windy days to stabilize the device A suggest club selection based on an average distance per club for both a long hitter and a short hitter.
Several suggested positions on placing the pointer on the fairway in order to hit a target line.
The device comes in a set of two allowing the device to be placed together A gage to control the speed of a .putt on the green.
A putting line that keeps the putter in a straight flat plain when putting.
This putting technique ensure the ball is rolling properly on contact.
The pointers come inside a brochure style carrying case with directions on how to use the device.

Description

The pin pointer Description The pin pointer Is a portable training device for Golf that can be used to align your body and aim your golf shot to a target line at any stage of a golf game. from Teeing off -See picture (2), to the fairway -see picture (4 A, B &C) , to putting -see picture (5). The device also provides club selection suggestions based on your distance from the green and averages. See picture (3) The device also provides a way to gage your speed when putting and stabilizes your putting stroke. See picture (5) Because you are looking down at a golf ball, properly aiming the ball and positioning your stance is a very difficult and important part of a golf game. The device allows you to point the ball at your target and take your stance at every stage of the game. See drawing (1) The device is small and portable, and it allows the user to quickly and accurately aim the ball on every shot on the golf course. The pointer also provides a putting gage to measure the speed of the put as well as the direction. See picture (5) There are devices that help align the shot, but they are not able to be used at all stages of a golf game. Alignment sticks are designed for driving the golf ball and fairway shots while putting practice devices are used only in practice situations as their portability is not conducive to an actual game situation. This device covers every aspect of the game in a portable simple to use solution.

Claims

Claim The portable simple device eliminates 4 critical elements of learning and playing golf.

1) Alignment is the most important element in golf, as you are standing over the ball it is very difficult to know if you are pointed or aliened correctly. The pin pointer allows you to alien your tee shot (first hole at each hole). By placing it on the ground in front of the tee and ball, it provides the user with a shot line and allows them to aim the shot while looking down at the ball. The foot line on the device makes sure the players heal is properly placed resulting in the player being in the right stance and line for the shot. They can pick up the pointer when set or leave it on the ground for the drive.

2) Club Selection, many new players have difficulty selecting clubs for varying distances. The portable devise displays suggested club selection for long and short ball hitters based on the distance to the pin.

3) Fairway alignment and follow through, the pointer can be used as a alignment tool on the fairway and a reference to ensure you follow through your shot, by placing the pointer on your shot line, 2 feet in front of the ball. You can also use the pointer to the side of the ball or you can use the pointer on both sides of the ball to cradle the ball aiming at the target.

4) Putting speed and accuracy. The device can be used on the putting green by placing the point behind the ball you can line up your put. The gage on the side of the pointer also allows the user to control the speed of the put. It also is used to remind the player to keep the putter straight and low on the take away and lift the putter to get the ball rolling at impact.
