Abstract

The magnet bag assembly is, in essence a mobile fabric pouch that has a sewn-in magnetic component that allows the user to affix the pouch to magnetic surfaces. A removable secondary magnetic component, the magnet bag accessory, allows for the pouch to be affixed to nonmagnetic surfaces, and attached to clothing magnetically as well. This versatility allows for several home, office, commercial and industrial applications.

BACKGROUND
1. Technical Field [0001] A fabric bag and accessory piece with stitched in magnets which attaches to surfaces and assists as an organizational tool.

2. Description of the related art [0002] Magnet bag assembly was invented as magnet bag and accessory piece for lightweight items. It allows people to keep everyday items at hand. The accessory piece allows the attachment of magnet bag to be attached through clothing to act as a portable carrying bag.
The problem solved by the magnet bag assembly is versatility, storage and convenience not offered by current alternatives.
SUMMARY

[0003] The magnet bag assembly is a portable storage solution which allows the user to keep items at hand either portably or affixed to surfaces. The uniqueness is the magnetic accessory piece which can attach to any surface by way of double sided adhesive and remain in place. The magnet bag can attach to the accessory piece magnetically, filled, and detached to serve as a portable item holder and reattached at any time to the accessories piece for storage and convenience.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0010] The magnet bag assembly (1) is a fabric bag which has a plurality of magnets encased in the material at the rear of the bag (5). The accessory piece (6) is simply a smaller plurality of magnets encased in fabric which can be attached to any surface with use of a double-sided adhesive. The bag then attaches magnetically to the accessory piece (6). Top view (2) identifies small metal end caps on either side. Side view (3) illustrates the folded over and stitched fabric which encases the plurality of magnets. Rear view (4) displays rear face of magnet bag and entire width of magnets. The bag can then hold items and be removed for portability and then magnetically rejoined to the accessory piece for stationary storage. This application is especially useful in vehicles such as cars, boats, and other conveyances where a magnetic surface is not readily available. Also useful in non-magnetic structures made of wood, plastic, or composites.
Further applications can be identified in the home or workplace as the accessory piece can adhere to drywall, fibre glass, and other non-magnetic surfaces. The accessory piece can also be used without adhesive to attach the magnet bag to a shirt or other garment magnetically simply by placing the end of the garment between the bag and accessory piece.
Magnet bag assembly material can also be printed on.

Claims

3What is claimed is:

1. Magnet bag assembly comprising a fabric bag having a front panel coupled to a back panel along a periphery of the front and back panels, a top portion of the periphery being uncoupled to form an opening in the fabric bag for receiving items therein, the fabric bag further comprising a first plurality of magnets attached to the back panel and encased by a piece of fabric material that is folded over and stitched to the back panel;
an accessory piece consisting of fabric material encasing a second plurality of magnets and including double-sided adhesive on a back surface thereof;
wherein the fabric bag can be removed and attached to a front surface of the accessory piece by magnetic attraction between the first and second plurality of magnets, and wherein the accessory piece can be secured to a non-magnetic surface using the double- sided adhesive, for hanging the magnet bag assembly to said non-magnetic surface.

2. The magnet bag assembly of claim 1, wherein the fabric bag and the accessory piece are constructed out of indoor outdoor 100% solution dyed acrylic/fabric to be used indoors or outdoors.
