Abstract
An aqueous shampoo or a conditioner or shampoo plus conditioner or a soap formulation comprising at least one phenolic compound of natural origin selected from group consisting of thymol and carvacrol or combination of them
Description
Description FIELD OF THE INVENTION
1-The present invention broadly relates to shampoo formulations comprising one or more phenolic compounds of natural origin selected from group consisting of thymol and carvacrol for humans and animals to prevent or treat bacterial, fungal. Viral, Yeast infections and repeal infestation of , ticks, fleas and other insect pests
2-Several formulas for pet shampoos have been formulated in the past. But none of them contains thymol and carvacrol BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In today's life animal infection prevention and their health has become an increasingly important public health issue. This has been due in part to the fact that infections caused by viruses and fungi have increased as a result of global interconnections.
Bacteria, fungi, viruses, yeast and bacterial spores, tick and flea are responsible for animal illness, as well as contamination of food and biological and environmental samples. The first step in microbial infections of animals is generally attachment of these agents to the skin membranes Since vaccines are not available for all the animal diseases prevention, it is accepted that an effective disinfection and vaccination program, is essential for maintaining the health of animals.
All of the current antimicrobial shampoo compositions contain chemical antimicrobial agents e.g. sodium thiosulfate, salicylic acid and Chloroxylenol, also known as para-chloro-meta-xylenol (PCMX), which is an antiseptic and disinfectant used for skin disinfection and cleaning surgical instruments, it is also used in household disinfectants and wound cleaner (Excessive exposure to chloroxylenol has the potential for causing toxicity) which are not naturally occurring. A great many of these "synthetic" antimicrobial, anti-fungal and anti-viral causes undesirable effects on both the environment, pets and on human health. The concept of formulating this shampoo, essentially involves the selection of a natural antimicrobial, anti-fungal and anti-viral agent for adding to a base shampoo which will be safe for pets, humans and environment.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is one of the main objects of the present invention to provide an external thymol based shampoo or conditioner or shampoo plus conditioner to be applied to the animals (e.g.
Dogs, Cats, sheeps, Goats, Cattle, Pigs) or human to prevent and treat bacterial, fungal, viral, Yeast infections and repeal infestation of ticks, fleas and other insect pests Another object of this invention is to provide a cleaning product with botanical thymol extract to clean, prevent and treat bacterial, fungal, viral, Yeast infections and repeal infestation of ticks, fleas and other insect pests which is safe for pets and their owners
