Abstract
Flooring for covering floors made from vinyl having different colors or patterns on opposite sides of the flooring. Those are generally referred to as planks.
This permits the installation of either side of the flooring face up so as to create different patterns and designs, based on which side is face up. The shape of the flooring can be in any desired shape, including square, rectangles, circles or semicircles. While the principal use of the invention is for flooring, the material can be used for walls and other surface coverings as well.

Flooring for covering floors made from vinyl having different colors or patterns on opposite sides of the flooring. Those are generally referred to as planks.

The shape of the flooring can be in any desired shape, including square, rectangles, circles or semicircles. While the principal use of the invention is for flooring, the material can be used for walls and other surface coverings as well.
BACKGROUND
Typically, stores sell floor coverings in boxes or containers with one side installed face up showing and the other side applied against the floor. The side intended for facing the floor has a plain color with no design. This requires the stores to inventory many different colors and shapes of materials for use by the purchaser. For example, if a purchaser desires to create a pattern on the floor in the shape of a black and white checkerboard, the user would need to buy separate boxes of square black tiles and boxes of square white tiles. The store would be required to separately inventory black tiles and white tiles.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Floor coverings, made of vinyl have different colors or patterns on opposite sides of the flooring. Flooring is generally referred to as planks; the planks are typically 6" by 36" and 3mm thick. This permits the installation of either side of the flooring face up so as to create different patterns and designs, depending on which side is face up. The shape of the flooring can be in any

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
One object of the present invention is to provide flooring that is capable of being used showing multiple sides;
Another object of the present invention is to provide flooring that is cheaper to inventory.
These and other objects of the present invention will be apparent from the specification and drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figures IA through IF is a copy view of the present invention in a rectangular shape.
Figures IA through IF are showing three pairs of tiles with different colors on each side 1A, 1B, IC, ID, 1E, and IF.
Figure 2A through 2F are top views of the present invention showing patterns created using simple tiles shown in Figures IA through IF. A different color is available on either the top or bottom of the flooring.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the present invention showing different colors and patterns on the top and bottom side.
Figure 4 is a form of the present invention in a semicircular shape.

3 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to figures IA-1F three versions of the present invention is in the form of a rectangle of vinyl material 10 is shown. Figures IA and 1B are opposite sides of a plank;
Figures 1C and 1D are opposite sides of second plank; Figures 1E and 1F are opposite sides of the third plank. Any number of different designs and colors can be used on the planks. The square vinyl material 10 has an upper surface 12 and a lower surface 14. As illustrated in Figure IA the upper surface 12 is depicted as having a color, in this case Mark Shadow as an example only. As illustrated in Figure 1B, the lower surface 14 is depicted as having a color different than the color of the upper surface 12, in this case, Natural. The colors Mark Shadow and Natural are used purely for illustration and the colors and designs can be any colors or designs.
The shape of the planks can be of any desired shape, including rectangular 20, circular (not shown) 22, or semicircular 24.
The planks themselves would be manufactured in the conventional manner well known to those manufacturing the particular materials used for the tiles. During the manufacturing process, the upper portion 12 would be made of one color or pattern and the lower portion 14 would be made of a different color or pattern than the upper portion. It is possible that the upper and lower portions 12 and 14 could be laminated together so that the upper portion is made in one production run and the lower portion made in a different production run.
Referring to figures IA-1F three versions of the present invention is in the form of a rectangle of vinyl material 10 is shown. Figures IA and 1B are opposite sides of a plank;

4 The user would have the option of having all of the tiles applied so that only one color or design was facing upward, or could make a pattern such as shown in Figures 2A
through 2F by having some of the tiles mixed. For example, if the tiles had red on the upper portion and blue on the lower portion, some of the tiles having red on the upper portion would be installed with the red upper portion showing and some of the tiles would be installed with the colored blue showing. Other combinations of colors could be used so that the design of the floor would have many different colors and designs.
