Abstract

Lélément de plancher comporte une mousse à cellules fermées qui constitue environ 50 % de lépaisseur totale de lélément. Tous les composants de lélément de plancher, notamment une couche de conception, une couche dusure et une sous-couche de mousse plastique élastique, sont très résistants à leau et essentiellement hydrofuges. Le noyau en mousse à cellules fermées est relativement léger et lélément de plancher est aussi relativement léger comparativement à des planches de plancher de dimensions égales formées exclusivement de matériaux en plastique stratifiés ou de matériaux stratifiés à base de bois. Lélément de plancher comporte un moyen de raccordement de bords permettant une installation de plancher flottant pratique sans quil faille coller lélément de plancher à une base de plancher. Lélément de plancher est également facile à manipuler pour permettre à un bricoleur dinstaller un revêtement de sol avec lélément de plancher.
