2 PCT/FR2013/051473 DISPOSITIF D'ETANCHEITE A L'ARRET PASSIF
POUR SYSTEME DE JOINTS D'ARBRE D'UN
GROUPE MOTOPOMPE PRIMAIRE.
DOMAINE TECHNIQUE
¨ un anneau d'étanchéité fendu présentant une position inactivée et une position activée ;
partir d'un seuil de température, dit seuil de changement d'état, ledit séparateur maintenant ledit anneau d'étanchéité fendu dans sa posi-tion inactivée lorsque la température du dispositif est inférieure au seuil de température de changement d'état ;
2 PCT / FR2013 / 051473 PASSIVE STOP SEALING DEVICE

STATE OF THE ART
Stopping devices (DEA) have been developed in pressurized nuclear power plants of new generations to make in the event of a failure of the seal system of the primary pump unit following an accidental situation of Total Food Loss Electric (PTAE), also known as SBO (for Station Black Out in English).
clay).
Thus, the shut-off devices must, in this situation acci-lace and after stopping the primary pump, allow for control and stopping a leakage of the primary coolant resulting from the failure launches the seal system of the primary pump unit.
Classically, this type of device is activated by an auxiliary source (such as for example a pressurized nitrogen circuit) and triggering is controlled by information delivered by the control-command of the reac-in case of loss of cooling sources of the pump set primary.
In order to overcome the use of an activation source, he has summer developed a passive shutdown sealing device that does not require any auxiliary activation system, nor the development of triggering information.
at the level of reactor control. Such a device sealing at passive shutdown is described in WO 2010/068615.
However, the described sealing device is a bulky device and his mounting in a joint system of a primary pump unit is relatively complex.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In this context, the invention aims to propose an improvement of such a device.
sealing device to reduce its size and thus its on the shaft seal systems of primary pump units in use.
To this end, the invention proposes a sealing device with passive stop for primary motor pump group shaft seal system comprising:
¨ a split sealing ring with an inactivated position and a activated position;
¨ a separator made of a fusible material able to change state to from a temperature threshold, said threshold of change of state, said separator holding said split seal ring in its position inactivated when the device temperature is below the threshold change of state temperature;
said device being characterized in that said device comprises circular elastic means positioned around the sealing ring split, said elastic means being adapted to bring said ring in its activated position when the temperature is higher or equal to the threshold value of change of state of said separator.
The terms change of state, a change of mechanical properties of the fusible material.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE D'AU MOINS UN MODE DE REALISATION
La figure 1 représente plus particulièrement le chemin de fuite File long de l'arbre 10 entre le joint n 1 J1 et le joint n 2 (référencé J2) situé en amont du joint n 1. 5 - the FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective view of the sealing ring of the stopping device according to the invention;

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE EMBODIMENT
The primary pumps of pressurized water reactors are of the central type trifuge with vertical axis. The dynamic sealing at the shaft outlet 10 (FIG. 1) is provided by a system of joints consisting of three floors.
The first stage is called joint n 1. The joint n 1, referenced J1, is a joint hydrostatic controlled leak. In normal operation, a leakage flow, illustrated by the arrow F1, is established along the shaft 10.
In an accidental situation, the fluid temperature at the inlet of the seal no.
bit a rapid rise in temperature to reach a value close to the temperature of the primary circuit, about 280 C. At this temperature, the performances of joint n 1 are degraded, which leads to an increase in very important leak flow rate that can exceed 10 m3 per hour. The Passive Sealing Devices (DEA) are intended for this purpose if you have-accidentally blocking the escape path F1 downstream of seal n 1, without the use of an activation source.
FIG. 1 more particularly represents the leakage path File the shaft 10 between the seal n 1 J1 and the seal n 2 (referenced J2) located upstream of seal n 1.
- un anneau d'étanchéité fendu 23 positionné concentriquement autour de l'arbre 10 du groupe motopompe primaire ;
- des moyens élastiques 22 adaptés pour contraindre en compression de façon circonférentielle l'anneau d'étanchéité fendu 23;
En effet, en cas d'arrêt des pompes par perte d'alimentation électrique (SB0), le dispositif d'arrêt 20 peut être déclenché par augmentation de la 6 Advantageously, the device DEA 20 according to the invention is positioned on the escape path F1 and more precisely at the level of the zone represented by the reference Z, so as to block the flow of the flow of leakage along the shaft 10 during an accidental situation.
FIG. 2 more particularly illustrates a sectional view of the device 20 of the invention under normal operating conditions.
primary pump unit, that is to say when the temperature the leak rate is below a predetermined threshold value.
Moreover, FIG. 3 illustrates a sectional view of the sealing device in its activated position, that is to say during accidental situations of operation of the primary pump unit.
The stationary sealing device 20 according to the invention comprises:
a split sealing ring 23 positioned concentrically around the shaft 10 of the primary pump unit;
elastic means 22 adapted to constrain in compression circumferentially the split seal ring 23;
a separator 27, illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, made of a material fuse adapted to hold said split seal ring in its inactivated position, or rest, as long as the temperature of the device remains below a temperature threshold that will be defined later.
The stopping device 20 according to the invention may comprise in in addition to a first contact ring 24 arranged between the socket 15 of the seal n 1 and the split sealing ring 23 and a second contact ring 26 positioned in contact with the split seal ring 23 and able to come to contact of the support piece of the floating crew of the seal n 1.
By way of example, the first contact ring 24 is made of steel or nickel alloy. The second contact ring 26 has a face chromed in contact with the sealing ring 23 The chrome coating of the face in contact with the sealing ring 23 reduces the coeffi-friction between the sealing ring 23 and the second ring 26.
Indeed, in case of stopping pumps by loss of power supply (SB0), the stop device 20 can be triggered by increasing the
Such a re-the chrome garment therefore makes it possible not to damage the x sealing ring 26.
The sealing ring 23 has a peripheral groove 25 on its external tower whose shape and dimensions are adapted to receive the elastic means 22.
The split sealing ring 23 is kept in its inactivated position, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, by means of the fusible separator 27.
The fusible separator 27 is made of a polymer material advantageously chosen depending on its degradation temperature and its loss of mechanical characteristics.
The choice of the polymer of the fusible separator 27 as well as its dimensions are made according to the desired degradation temperature. ad-tagously, the separator 27 is characterized so as to be able to withstand the force exerted by the elastic means 22 to a temperature threshold ture between 80 C and 260 C and advantageously equal to 150 C.
According to the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 5, the fusible separator 27 has the shape of a beam able to maintain in the separated position the two ends of the split seal ring 23 (inactive position) when normal operation of the primary pump unit.
Thus, under normal operating conditions (Figure 2), the ring sealing 23 is maintained behind the escape path F1. The ring split seal 23 is locked in this position by the splitter 27.
In accident conditions (Figure 3), the increase in the temperature of the leakage flow has the effect of increasing the temperature in the vicinity of the positive stop 20, and in particular the temperature of the fusible separator 27.
When the temperature of the leakage flow reaches a threshold value, said threshold of state change, predefined according to the nature of the fusible separator 27, it degrades instantly or gradually no longer ensuring therefore a sufficient mechanical resistance to withstand the stress
The loss of the mechanical characteristics of the fusible separator, and in particular the fall of the flexural modulus occurs when the temperature is higher than equal to the glass transition temperature of the material in which the fusible separator 27 is made.
Depending on the nature of the fuse material used, it is also possible to define a first temperature change threshold of the material from which the fusible separator 27 has initiated a change of state, that is to say that its mechanical characteristics are modified, and a threshold of activation temperature of the DEA device from which the separator 27 collapses because it is no longer able to withstand the exer-the elastic means 22, thereby bringing the sealing ring 23 into position.
activated.
Thus, according to a first variant embodiment, the triggering of the dis-20, corresponding to the exceeding of the change of state threshold of the fusible separator 27 and the activation of the device are merged. In this variant embodiment, the losses of the mechanical characteristics are almost instantaneous.
According to a second variant embodiment, the activation of the device 20 are delayed in relation to the triggering of the device by the exceeding the change of state temperature threshold. In this variant, the losses of the mechanical characteristics are progressive and lead to a collapse of the fusible separator 27 at a different time and / or at a temperature above the temperature of the exchange state of affairs.
The fusible separator 27 advantageously has notches 28, or areas with a thinning of material, able to guide the flam-and deformation of the fusible separator 27. Such notches 28 allow for example to guide the deformation of the separator in the direction axial or in the radial direction of the sealing ring 23 According to an exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 5, the notches 28 are machined at the center and at the ends of the fusible separator 27.
In order to facilitate the buckling deformation of the fusible separator 27 and so as to ensure a good activation of the stop device 20, it may be necessary to provide free space near the separator fuse so as not to interfere with the deformation of the separator. This space can be for example a notch (not shown) in the sleeve 11 of seal n 1 opposite the circumferential position of the fusible separator 27 in the case of radial deformation of the fusible separator 27.
The sealing ring 23 is no longer maintained in its rest position, the force exerted by the elastic means 22 encircling the ring 23, modifies the diameter of the sealing ring 23 in such a way that that it comes to tighten against the shaft of the rotor 10.
Thus, in accident conditions, the sealing ring 23 ensures the blocking cage of the escape route F1 thanks to the circumferential force exerted by the elastic means 22 combined with the loss of mechanical characteristics separator no longer providing its separation function.
In a second step, the blockage of the leak is ensured in addition by the autoclave effect induced by the increase in pressure upstream of the sealing device 20 in the activated position.
According to a first exemplary embodiment, the sealing ring 23 of the arrangement stopping device 20 may be made of a polymeric material resistant to high temperatures (ie above 300 C), such as, for example, lyetheretherketone (PEEK) or PEEK composite filled with glass fibers or carbon. The use of such a material makes it possible to obtain at high temperature temperature, a sealing ring in a rubbery state allowing it to deform to marry the geometry of its environment and so ensure better sealing quality. In this embodiment, the fusible separator 27 is of the same nature as the body of the ring 23 and are advantageously monobloc.
According to a second embodiment illustrated in FIG. 6, the separator fu 127 is formed by an independent piece (ie not a monobloc) of the sealing ring 123 which is attached at the level of the opening of the ring 123. Such a configuration allows for the fuse separator 127 in a material of a different nature from the material used in tion of the sealing ring 123 and which also has a loss of mechanical characteristics sufficient to trigger and activate the device from a given temperature threshold.
By way of example, the fusible separator 127 can be made of PEEK
loaded with carbon fiber and the sealing ring 123 can be made of graphite.
This second embodiment makes it possible to simplify the design of the sealing ring 123 as well as the realization of a recovery at ni-
10 calf of the opening of the ring 123 to enhance the effectiveness of the étan-chéité. Fusible splitter 127 assembly on the sealing ring 123 can be achieved by various methods; preferentially, the assembly is of the tenon-mortise type.
