Abstract

Cette invention concerne un dispositif orthopédique (10 ; 110) à appliquer à l'extérieur d'un os, du type comprenant un rail de support (12 ; 112), s'étendant le long d'un axe longitudinal central (Y-Y) essentiellement parallèle à l'os (11 ; 111), au moins deux étaux (14, 18 ; 114, 118) montés de manière à pouvoir coulisser sur ledit axe (Y-Y) du rail de support (12 ; 112) et des vis endo-osseuses de maintien (16, 20 ; 116, 120) pouvant s'insérer dans l'os, et un dispositif de distraction/compression (58) fixé de manière amovible aux deux étaux (14, 18 ; 114, 118) par des broches respectives (68) insérées dans les trous leur correspondant (64 ; 164) dans chaque étau. Chaque étau comprend un corps ayant une base ou mâchoire inférieure (24 ; 124) et un chapeau, ou une mâchoire supérieure (23 ; 123) ainsi que deux vis (25, 26 ; 125, 126) pour fixer la mâchoire supérieure (23 ; 123) à la mâchoire inférieure (24 ; 124). De manière avantageuse, les trous (64 ; 164) pour les broches (68) sont alignés sur une ligne (X ; X7) essentiellement parallèle audit axe (Y-Y), au moins un trou pour les broches de l'autre étau étant également aligné sur ladite ligne (X ; X'), ce qui permet à la structure globale des étaux montés sur le dispositif orthopédique (10 ; 110) de rester particulièrement compacte.
