Abstract
Description
A
Cup cup with cup-shaped inverted cup.
The present invention relates to a cup having in its lower part a usually preconditioned product in powder form, each dose being placed in a compartment that is airtight and moisture-proof, easily openable by the user.
The powdery product in question may consist of ingredients freeze-dried such only coffee, or simply powdered foods such as chocolate, juices of fruit, soup, etc. This type of cup, in particular with a lid closing a lower volume of the cup, is known and used for a long time. he made by example the object of manual distributions in planes, trains, etc.
Adding water hot or cold in the cup containing the powdery product is then realized by the hostess or the steward.
These cups can also be dispensed automatically: when the user wants a drink, he extracts a cup from a dispenser, took of the operculum and fills it with a fountain of hot or cold water. In general, the distributor allows the selection of the cup by type of product contained in the closed compartment.
In most cases, the cups used are made of plastic, the cover being for example welded on a shoulder disposed at the bottom of the cup.
AT
the time of a generalized awareness of the environmental impacts that resulting from manufactured products, from a manufacturing perspective as well.
good than recycling, the use of plastic for making cups appears today have many disadvantages.
So we tried to produce cups in greener materials, by example cardboard, always having a sealed inner compartment for store the dose of powder. However, in the known cups, the lidding is realized for example aluminum, material that ensures the best airtightness and moisture, and thus preserves the taste qualities of products.
For this purpose, fixing said lid to the zone containing the product freeze-dried must obviously she too be perfectly waterproof. In the cups plastic, it is performed by welding the lid for example on a shoulder.
Ce rebord, en appui plan contre le fond plat du gobelet, permet 2 There are also cups whose body is made of cardboard, on which no welding is of course possible, and in which this problem is solved by inserting a closed plastic capsule with an operculum aluminum.
On an ecological level the plastic capsule, certainly less bulky than the cup, responds very imperfectly to the problematic.
The tumbler of the present invention, to fit into a perspective favorable to the environment, is not plastic, and the use of an operculum by example in aluminum for the aforementioned reasons therefore poses the problem of its fixation on the cup.
To answer it, this cup, classically comprising a volume arranged in lower part a pre-packaged quantity of powdered product, volume being compartmentalized in an airtight and moisture-proof manner, is characterized main in that the cup is made of cardboard, and has a bottom on which is fixed a inverted cup, constituting with said bottom the sealed compartment, the material of the bottom and the barrier cup preserving the characteristics of the product.
Compared to plastic, cardboard is nowadays alternative that helps to preserve the environment because its recycling is easy and little pollutant.
The use of the carton for making the cup seems natural, to this the cardboard does not provide the necessary airtightness and moisture.
It is necessary to resort to a material called "barrier", whose quality depends on the fragility of product enclosure in the compartment. Aluminum, cited preferentially because he is the barrier of the highest quality, is not the only solution.
The use of a simple aluminum operculum, as in the prior art is not by not enough since a part of the compartment containing the product rest delimited by the cardboard walls of the cup. Finally, the association of cardboard and of such operculum poses the problem of welding, which must, moreover, be quality sufficient to ensure a seal between the two materials.
The invention presents a solution that is original both in the use of materials and in their shaping.
In order to facilitate the welding operation, the cup can present a flat collar. This rim, in plane support against the flat bottom of the cup, allows
- le fond est en matériau composite carton / aluminium, la couche en aluminium étant orientée vers l'intérieur du gobelet ;
3 the implementation of a welding under the same conditions as for the cups of the prior art. The annular peripheral space that then remains between the cup and the side wall of the cup is also used to other purposes, as this will be shown in more detail later.
The cup is secured to the bottom for example by thermo-welding, but it can ' also be fixed by induction or gluing, according to a conventional operation for this type of cups.
According to one possibility:
- the bottom is made of cardboard / aluminum composite material, the layer aluminum being oriented towards the inside of the cup;
- the bottom is covered on at least one side of at least one synthetic material coating; and - The cup is made of aluminum.
Thus, the cardboard / aluminum composite bottom and the aluminum cup allow to make a compartment with all sides made of aluminum. By elsewhere, the existence of a synthetic material coating makes it possible to carry out the welding under conditions that ensure the required seal.
Alternatively, the bottom and the cup are designed in a material chosen from group comprising polyester, polypropylene, and polyethylene, etc.
Said material may further be metallized, and / or be arranged in the form of movie about a layer of paper, etc. More generally, as indicated above, all Barrier material is suitable.
For purely functional purposes, and as is the custom, the cup may have a gripping tab extending towards the edge of the cup.
The user, when he removes said cup by pulling on the tongue, release the powdery product, before disposing it under a water fountain (cold or hot).
According to one possible configuration, the cup of the invention may have a background elevation making an outer recess in the lower part of the cup, the Heights of said recess and the cup allowing stacking of cups.
- la figure 1 est une vue de côté d'un gobelet selon la présente invention ;
This stacking is however only possible if an annular recess is present around the cup, obviously that exists for example in the hypothesis previously mentioned of cups having a planar outer rim.
The outer recess can also be slightly flared. This allows facilitate the welding operation, since the counterpart of the tool welding has thus facilitating access to the wall constituting the bottom, in order to exercise correctly its action on all the periphery of said bottom.
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to FIGS.
annexed, for which:
FIG. 1 is a side view of a cup according to the present invention;
- Figure 2 shows schematically, in section, the Possibility of stacking cups according to the invention.
With reference to FIG. 1, the cup (1) comprises a first part primary truncated cone whose upper edge (2) is wound, a bottom (3) and a part lower (4) delimiting a recess (5). This cup is made of cardboard wound around a vertical axis (A, A '), the inner face being covered with a film in material synthetic. The bottom (3) is for its part made for example from a complex cardboard / aluminum, the aluminum constituting the upper face. In this hypothesis, the aluminum is also covered with a film made of synthetic material, for example polyethylene or polypropylene. As already mentioned, the presence aluminum is not essential and the bottom and the lid could be made of other barrier materials such as polypropylene.
The freeze-dried powdery product is disposed between the bottom (3) and a cup or shell (6) for example of aluminum, having a flange border (7) flat peripheral welded by thermo-welding on the bottom (3).
The respective heights of the recess (5) made in the lower part (4) goblet and cup (6), combined with the existence of a space peripheral (8) around said cup (6), allow stacking of the cups for products the most fragile, symbolized in particular in Figure 2. In this representation, the cup (6) has an upper facade which is located near the bottom (3) Upper cup.
In the configuration shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the walls (4) of the part lower part delimiting the volume (5) are very slightly flared, so as to facilitate the welding of the flange (7) on the bottom in complex cardboard /
aluminum.
But these walls could just as easily be frustoconical, in the extension
5 of the upper walls of the cup.
The powdery product contained in the cup is then housed in a compartment sealed by aluminum walls, namely on the one hand the face in aluminum bottom (3), and on the other hand the cup (6) aluminum shaped of inverted cup.
This product is much more ecological than the cups that are currently on the market, made in whole or in part of plastic.
