Abstract
My invention is used for carrying and transporting different materials, fittings and pieces from one place to another. It is a one hand held device to be used primarily tradesmen to carry around any pieces required for a job. It consists of separate containers each of which can be individually removed to be emptied or refilled.
Description
Material, Fittings and Pieces Carrier This invention provides an improved way to carry and transport material, fittings and pieces that a tradesman would use in the course of his duties.
Background of the invention It has been sometime that tradesmen have had to carry multiple different materials, fittings or pieces around with them to different job sites or many places within the same job site. They would usually carry around multiple bags or boxes which would be unwieldly. Some people would make their own material carrying equipment usually out of wood. The problem with those is that if the fittings in one compartment needed to be replaced with something else it was normally a long and or messy process. This was because they would have to first remove the pieces from the compartment one at a time or by turning the carrier upside down and in effect emptying the entire contents of the carrier into a single pile. My invention eliminates the need for the removal of pieces one at a time. My invention eliminates the need to empty the entire contents into a single pile. My invention holds individual identical compartments which can be removed one at a time.
When a compartment is removed, the entire contents of said compartment can be emptied and put back either empty or refilled with something else.
There is never a need to empty a container (or compartment) one piece at a time or dumping the entire contents of the carrier into a single pile.
Description of the drawings Figure 1 represents an isometrical view of my invention.
Figure 2 represents a frontal view of my invention.
Figure 3 represents a side view of my invention.
Description of my invention My invention as seen in fig. 1 with regards to numbers 1-7 is made out of an alloy or a metal or plastic. If my invention is made from an alloy or metal the pieces are bent and welded together. If my invention is made from plastic then it is done by plastic mold injection. The handle 1 is attached to the top of the frame 3. Attached to the underside of the frame 3 and underneath the centre support 5 are straight drop down pieces 4 which allow the individual containers to remain in place. The corners 6 can either be 90 degree angles or rounded to accommodate either square or round containers. The centre support 5 is attached to both sides of the inside of the frame 3. The underneath supports 2 are attached to the underside of the frame 3 on both sides. The underneath supports 2 keep the containers from falling out. The wear pads 7 keep the underneath supports 2 from coming into contact with any surface. The construction of 1-6 are of all the same diameter and material.
A detailed example of an intended use for my invention would be a plumber assembling copper water lines that require the use of many fittings such as elbows, tees, 45's and couplings in several sizes. The plumber can then place each type of these fittings in it's own container and should the need arise, replace the fittings in a certain container with a number of a different type of fittings all the while saving time and effort in the process.
