Abstract
My invention is auto pull technology pulling two opposite lanes of automobiles creating zero emissions and gas costs, described as transportation automation. Its premise is simple, vehicles enter throughway, attach onto magnetic descending device from a coiled retractable wire pulley system (ski apparatus similarity). The car has strapped on opposite polarity magnet through front doors, with the magnet of car top.
Vehicles turns off their engines are pulled along several pulley systems each ending with repelling larger reverse polarity magnets. The final and entry tow pulley system are reduced speed (90 and 80 km), while others at 100km/hr. Vehicles can merge on/off system at will, or at designated location. All last pulley systems have runaway safety zones with large airbags of large rubber band stopping devices and rippled asphalt and tow trucks available for no starts.

This would allow cars to pass every second at 100 kilometers an hour. This invention saves more than just our environt'nent for the future of our childret~ but also allow each wotls~ng family to save as much as $100.00 monthly in gas costs and provides families as much as 40 hours leisure time every month in reduced work travel time, based on traveling to work only 2 hours daily old tine. Air quality indices have worsened considerably over the past throe decades;
Ontarians own and drive an estimated 7.3 million vehicles( census 2003), over half of.wl~ich are located in urban southern Ontario .The 407 Toll highway experienced a one day record of 413,587 vehicles ( June 30, 2005), on a day when the Toronto AQI was 45.
Rates of airborne contaminants listed for 12 major American urban areas are rising at an alarming rate. Of these, carbon dioxide and monoxide, heavy metals, sulphurs are directly r related to vehicle emissions. Tha World Health organization estimates that up to 3 million worldwide deaths are attributable to air pollution, Asthma rates in Canada have risen drastically, at a massive cost to Medicare. Air quality advisories are very much a part of urban life, with the Weather Channel broadcasting the following disturbing increase in numbers of AQI's in recent years:
2000- three AQI over 3 days 2001- seven over 20 days 2002 nine aver 18 days 2003 five over 12 days 2004 sip over 14 days 2005 I4 over 46 days . As recently as July 21, columnist Royston dames of the 'Toronto Star lamented the gridlock and poor air quality in Toronto, suggesting the alternatives of car pooling and public transit. Air quality globally ( see enclosure) is radically worse than in North American cities, due largely to low or absent emission controls, and surging population rates( over 80'3'0 of the global population is now urban. Shanghai, Mexico city, Delhi, all boast extreme rates of low level ozone and other contaminants with the health detriments that aceompaxty these numbers. All are in the developing world axJd are expected to continue their increase in industry, often unregulated emissions and commuter traffic. It is estimated that in the alert 25 years, irt Canada alone, an additional 2 million vehicles will be in operation with a four fold increase in gridlock in major cities.
Of the estimated 7.3 million vehicles operating in Ontario, millions traveled on the 400 series highways daily irt 2005. Express toll highway 407 accommodated an average of 400,000 vehicles per weekday. Each vehicle emits several toms of exhaust per year . To prevent even a fractfton of these clxernicals from entering our atmosphere will be considered by environmentalists and auto manufacturers as a boon and a positive investment in the future.

Mass transits systems are in operation in every urban area in North America, yet they account for only a fraction of the total popularion movement. Commuters will continue to use their vehicles en masse as their nuxtiber one preference for getting around in the city; even sophisticated and efficient transit systems can hope only to reduce the overflow.
Of the three arguments posited here, fuel price must be considered probably the least convincing, yet, at this point in time, the most tangible. In Ontario, gasoline prices have surged over the $L00 mark for nearly one year ( November 2005) and are not expected to significantly decrease. The geopolitical situation in the Middle East is riot stabilizing despite the presence of 'United Nations and Coalition forces. Oil exports from OPEC
members such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia are becoming more jeopardized due to internal and foreign political pressures. Certainly any attempt to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels in North America would be welcomed by both consumers and legislators alike.
A growing inconvenience to commuters, and one which has been seen to cause such cosmopolitan phenomena as the much studied" road rage' is the gridlock caused by the sheer volume of traf~.c. Toronto's traffic congestion is considered such a problem that most radio stations regularly air traffic circulation updates. Other centres , of course, such as Los Angeles and New York, have been dealing with gridlock for decades. An idling car still produces emissions, and delays commuters.
The Ontario government has initiated its 5 year ' Southern Ontario highway program' of $3.4 Billion with an initial investment( June 16 ?006) o~ $1.4 billion, most of which has been allocated to renew and develop existing highway infrastructures. The government also launched the '°Cxreater Toronto Transportation Authority', created by Bill#104-2406 in April 2006 in an attempt to address and solve costs of traffic congestion r~ ~
that currently numbers as much as $2$ Million per day. These costs are expected to soar four fold over the next ZO years. The government also diverts movies to Universities , through Ministry of Transportation. program, who create and develop projects to ameliorate the transportation system. Each project is listed on the Ministry website, and in the last 5 years no funded project contributed substantially to a reduction in emissions or improvement in ~ congestion.
To boot, the Ontario government recently sold the 4fl7ETR to a private firm, in 1999, far $3.1 Billion. Dlustrating their desire to withdraw from the actual management of area highways, There is clearly room the picture for an innovative solution to the above listed problems , and it would appear that at least the Ontario government is finally receptive.
CA.RFULL seeks to redress each issue in a manner that will transform highvcray driving into the future both here and around the world.
As as addendum to the proposed technology, an entire CARpULL apparatus could be as easily poro~ered by non fossil fuel based means such as solar panels or windmills.
TOWARDS A SOLUTION- CARfULL TEOHNpLOGY
The premise behind this technology is in itself quite simple: vehicles enter a thruway, attach onto a magnetic device descending from on overhead wire pulley system similar to a ski lift apparatus, then are pulled along the length of the thruway by tlxe pulley. They are thus able (and would be required) to turn off their engines, put the gear into neutral, manning only the steering wheel (to negotiate curves).The pulley system is not one long pulley but a system of shorter pulleys each of which is connected to the system. As as addendum to the proposed technology, an entire CARpULL apparatus could be as easily poro~ered by non fossil fuel based means such as solar panels or windmills.
TOWARDS A SOLUTION- CARfULL TEOHNpLOGY
The premise behind this technology is in itself quite simple: vehicles enter a thruway, attach onto a magnetic device descending from on overhead wire pulley system similar to a ski lift apparatus, then are pulled along the length of the thruway by tlxe pulley. They are thus able (and would be required) to turn off their engines, put the gear into neutral, manning only the steering wheel (to negotiate curves).The pulley system is not one long pulley but a system of shorter pulleys each of which is connected to the system. Vehicles roll automatically into the subsequent pulley system. At designated points between systems cars may enter and exit via 'on 'and 'off' ramps at which points the magnetic attachment is reversed. Safety barriers ensure that disembarking vehicles do not collide but merge naturally with other traffic. Thus vehicles disembark from the system by attaching onto a reverse polarity magnet and come to a stop at a traffic light facing the particular exit. Drivers subsequently restart the engine prior to the last disembarir, and reattach to each subsequent section. Drivers restart their engines just prior to the designated exit zone between pulley sections so that they can merge safely.
Engine Problems If a vehicle becomes disabled ( no start), or if a driver falls asleep or encounters a medical emergency and is indisposed, the vehicle would be forced to remain on the system until its end '.The final tow pulley systems are rated at a reduced speed( i.e. 80 and b0 IQn) The car will flow into a runaway safety lane( similar to ruxxaway truck lanes on many highways) where safety bunkers, airbags , tow trucks and other safety and mechanical personnel will be available ( possibly at a cost), to assist.
lIence safety risk would be likely reduced to a level as low as or even lower than existing safety levels on the 400 series highways.
Claims (19)
1 The auto car pull system will completely remove all car emissions while on the car pull system after reaching the high speed sections.
2. The auto car pull system allows vehicles (automobile, more traditionally known as), to travel, propel forward for long distances with no gas cost incurred.
3. The auto car pull system allows vehicles to travel, propel forward for long distances with no battery costs incurred.
4. The auto car pull system allows vehicles to travel, propel forward for long distances with no hydro cost.
5. The auto car pull system allows vehicles to travel, propel forward for long distances without the risk of car accident with other vehicles.
6. The auto car pull system allows vehicles to travel, propel forward for long distances with reduced noise pollution as compared to the traditional for of automobile travel.
7. The auto car pull system allow vehicles to travel, propel forward for long distances and eliminates all risk of any possible mechanical error that driving a vehicle with the motor on otherwise create.
