Abstract
An instant teacup includes a cup and a teabag that is fixed at a point to a bottom of the cup. Thus, the teabag floats in the cup when pouring hot water into the instant teacup for brewing tea. The teabag is fixed to the bottom of the instant teacup by heating or high frequency waves. The tealeaves or tea powders in the teabag may spread and thus provide desired brewing effect.
Description
Instant Teacup Background of the Invention 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an instant teacup. In particular, the present invention relates to an instant teacup having a teabag fixed to a bottom thereof.
2. Description of the Related Art Fig. 4 of the drawings illustrates a conventional instant teacup including an outer cup 1' and an inner cup 2' mounted inside the outer cup 1'. An upper end 21' of the inner cup 2' is retained below an inner flange 12' of the outer cup 1'. A
lower end 22' of the inner cup 21' presses against four corners 31' of a teabag 3' to thereby retain the teabag 3' in the instant teacup, as illustrated in Fig.
5.
However, the cost of the instant teacup having many elements is relatively high.
Further, the teabag 3' cannot float in the instant teacup, as the teabag 3' is retained in place by the inner cup 21'. The tealeaves or tea powders (particular in the middle part and lower part of the teabag 3') cannot expand or spread and thus fail to provide desired brewing effect.
Fig. 6 illustrates another instant teacup 5' including a teabag 6' that is fixed by heating or high frequency waves to a bottom 51' of the instant teacup 5'.
However, the teabag 3' is fixed and thus could not float in the instant teacup S'.
The tealeaves or tea powders (particular in the middle part and lower part of the teabag 6') cannot expand or spread and thus fail to provide desired brewing effect.
Summai-,y of the Invention An object of the present invention is to provide an instant teacup including a cup and a teabag that is fixed at a point to a bottom of the cup.
Thus, the teabag floats in the cup when pouring hot water into the instant teacup for brewing tea. The teabag is fixed to the bottom of the instant teacup by means of heating or high frequency waves. The tealeaves or tea powders in the teabag may spread and thus provide desired brewing effect.
Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Brief Descriution of the Drawings Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of an instant teacup in accordance with the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the instant teacup in accordance with the present invention.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the instant teacup in accordance with the present invention, wherein hot water is poured into the instant teacup.
Fig. 4 is a sectional view of a conventional instant teacup.
Fig. 5 is another sectional view of the instant teacup in Fig. 4.
Fig. 6 is a sectional view of another conventional instant teacup.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, an instant teacup in accordance with the present invention generally comprises a cup 1 and a teabag 2. The cup 1 is a heat-resistant container of any shape and made of paper or plastic material.
The cup 1 includes an open end 11 and a closed end 12. The teabag 2 includes two layers that are made of a material selecting from a group consisting of non-woven cloth, paper, plastic material, or a combination thereof. The layers are processed to form a bag having a sealed perimeter 22, with tealeaves or tea powders 21 being received in the teabag 2. The sealed perimeter 22 of the teabag 2 is fixed by heating or high frequency waves at a point 23 to an inner face of the closed end 12 of the cup 1.
Thus, when brewing tea, the teabag 2 floats when while pouring hot water into the cup 1, as the teabag 2 is only fixed at one point 23. The tealeaves or tea powders 21 in the teabag may spread and thus provide desired brewing effect.
The overall cost of the instant teacup in accordance with the present invention is relatively low when compared to the conventional ones.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
