Abstract
A household pillow, used to support the head, neck and shoulders etc., is totally filled with softer material or softer shape, with no void within.
In this invention, called hereafter "Supertech Pillow," two unequal diameter tubes of spongy material are connected diagonally across the width providing a springy yet positive support.
In this invention, called hereafter "Supertech Pillow," two unequal diameter tubes of spongy material are connected diagonally across the width providing a springy yet positive support.
Description
Specification This invention of "Supertech Pillow" relates to a household pillow.
It is common to till the softer materials or moulded softer shapes with no voids within the pillow to maintain its shape and to provide bouncy support to the head, neck and shoulder.
After consistent usage of the household pillow it looses its shape, fluffiness, tbrming lumps within and therefore providing unequal cen:ical support resulting in much discomfort. It takes time to get adjusted to new pillow because of its uniform thickness and the same pillow may not be suitable for structurally different persons.
There is no void inside the pillow to accommodate therapeutic or any other objects.
I have found that these disadvantages may be overcome by using "Supertech l.'illow" because of its unique construction. 'hwo unequal diameter tubes of spongy 'material are connected diagonally forming the width of the "Supertech Pillow". Because of its tubular structure the shape will be maintained providing consistent, positive cervical support. Tubes being of different diameter will accommodate usage to structurally different individuals. The Web joining the two tubes diagonally acts as a leverage maintaining uniform distribution of load while either smaller or larger diameter side is in use. The hollow portions of tubes are open ended and easily accessible; may be used to provide several comfort or therapeutic usages such as hot/cold water bottles, aromatic packages, therapeutic magnets, radioltapeldisc for music etc.
Brief Description of Drawings "In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the inventions, View 'A' is a "Supertech Pillow" assembly; Section X-X showing embodiments of components assembled within, View 'B' showing embodiments of two dii~'erent diameter tubes of spongy material are joined diagonally fJR this component can be extruded of spongy material, View 'C' showing "Supertech Pillow" in actual use.
