Abstract

Selon l'invention, on effectue la séparation de gaz par adsorption modulée en pression (AMP) et par adsorption modulée en pression (AMP) sous vide, afin d'obtenir un gaz purifié de la fraction moins fortement adsorbée du mélange gazeux d'alimentation, au moyen d'un appareil comprenant plusieurs adsorbants. Ces adsorbants coopèrent avec des premier et second ensembles soupape, dans un module rotatif d'adsorption modulée en pression, dont le cycle d'adsorption est caractérisé par plusieurs niveaux de pression intermédiaire, se situant entre la pression la plus élevée et la pression la plus base du cycle. Les flux de gaz pénètrent dans le module AMP ou en sortent, à des niveaux de pression intermédiaires, de même qu'au niveau le plus faible et au niveau le plus élevé, dans des conditions sensiblement stables de flux et de pression. Le module AMP comprend un rotor qui contient des adsorbants à base de feuilles stratifiées et tourne dans un stator, les faces des soupapes à lumière, situées entre le rotor et le stator, servant à commander la synchronisation, dans le rotor, des flux pénétrant dans les adsorbants ou en sortant. Le gaz d'alimentation est comprimé avant de pénétrer dans les premiers moyens de soupape, et le gaz d'échappement est évacué vers l'atmosphère soit directement, soit par l'intermédiaire d'une pompe à vide.
