Abstract

On effectue la séparation de gaz par adsorption modulée en pression (PSA) dans un appareil qui possède une pluralité d'adsorbeurs coopérant avec un premier et un second organe à valve situés dans un module PSA rotatif, et dont le cycle PSA est caractérisé par de multiples niveaux de pression intermédiaires entre la pression la plus haute et la pression la plus basse de ce cycle. Des flux de gaz entrent ou sortent du module PSA aux niveaux de pression intermédiaires de même qu'au niveau le plus élevé et qu'au niveau le plus bas, dans des conditions de flux et de pression sensiblement stables. Ce module PSA comprend un rotor contenant des adsorbeurs stratifiés en planche qui tourne dans un stator, avec des faces formant valve entre le rotor et le stator de façon à contrôler la synchronisation des flux entrant ou sortant des adsorbeurs dans le rotor.
