Abstract

L'invention concerne un siège à assise basculante autour d'un axe horizontal (24), prévu notamment pour équiper des salles recevant du public telles que des amphithéâtres et/ou des salles de spectacle, comportant au moins un piétement présentant un axe sensiblement longitudinal (14) et auquel est éventuellement fixé un dossier (16), et par rapport auquel est déterminé un axe horizontal (24), l'assise (20) comprenant une première partie (32) faisa nt saillie vers l'avant par rapport à l'axe horizontal (24), et une deuxième partie (30) faisant saillie vers le piétement (12). Selon l'invention, le piétement (12) enferme un vérin à gaz (40) dont une extrémité (48) est fixée au piétement (12) et l'autre extrémité (50) est fixée à la deuxième partie (30) de l'assise (20).
