Description

May 4/2000 Description of the Invention Plastic Cigarette Package A plastic cigarette package used to store cigarettes of various sizes and numbers.The size of the plastic package will vary in respect to the size and number of cigarettes stored in the package.
The plastic package consists of two components.The first component is a hollow rectangular plastic outershell.The second component is a rectangular plastic inner sleeve.Both components are cut or stamped from thin flexible sheet plastic in one piece.The plastic is scored at the appropriate locations and folded at 90 degree angles at the scored locations to form each component.The fractionally smaller inner sleeve slides inside the hollow outer shell forming the top and bottom flaps of the package.The top flap is hinged to form a flip open lid.The inner sleeve also acts as a stiffener to give rigidity to the outer shell.
The plastic package is opened by pushing up the inner sleeve from the bottom thus exposing the cigarettes stored within the package. The package is closed by pushing down the inner sleeve from the top..
