Abstract

A graft polymer comprising constituent units containing a quaternary ammonium group represented by general formula (A) (wherein R2 and R3 represent each an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R4 represents an alkyl group having 3 to 18 carbon atoms; and X
represents at least one member selected from among halide, sulfate, hydroxide, and carboxylate ions), and an antimicrobial resin comprising the same. When the graft polymer is applied onto or incorporated into medical supplier to be retained for a long period of time, bacterial infection through the supplies can be prevented.
