Abstract
The invention is a sheathe that fits over the bottom portion of a standard nail clipper and functions as a receptacle for nail clippings during the process of clipping nails. The word "nail/s" is identified as either being finger and/or toe nails and shall be referred to as only nails in this document hereafter. The sheathe, when in place over a nail clipper, collects the nail clippings and allows an individual to clip one's nails without spilling the nail clippings around the area. With the use of the sheathe over a nail clipper an individual has the freedom to clip his/her nails any place he/she chooses without the fear of spilling nails in an unwanted area.

The invention is always used as an attachment to a standard nail clipper.
The invention is not known to exist thus far. A nail clipper is an item that is used on its own without any receptacle for collecting the nail clippings thus proving to be an inefficient and less-than-ideal tool. During the process nail clippings fly in every direction and one must always be conscious of where one is clipping one's nails. When clipping nails in an inappropriate place, one must always pick up or sweep up one's nail clippings.
The attachment of the invention to a nail clipper makes nail clipping an efficient and tidy process thus overcoming the inefficiencies mentioned above. One can clip one's nails any place he or she chooses because the nail clippings fall into the sheathe as they are cut.
When one is done clipping nails, one simply has to empty the sheathe into the trash or other appropriate place of waste.
The sheathe is made from a plastic-like material that is about 0.05 mm in thickness and is shaped to fit around the lower portion of the nail clipper. The sheathe completely encloses the lower portion of the nail clipper.
The lower portion of the nail clipper (Figure 1 on page 4) slides into the sheathe (Figure 2 on page 4) from the narrow end. The sheathe envelopes the nail entire lower portion of the clipper and serves as a container into which the nail clippings fall.
The sheathe covers the open sides of the nail clipper thus keeping the nail clippings from spilling out.

1. The use of a sheathe as an attachment to a standard nail clipper for the purpose of collecting nail clippings during the process of clipping one's nails.
