Abstract

La présente invention concerne un polynucléotide (igif-2) qui identifie et code un nouveau facteur 2 inducteur de l'interféron gamma (IGIF-2) exprimé dans l'adénoïde, le cerveau, le rein, le foie, le poumon, la peau, la synovie, et les lymphocytes T. La présente invention concerne également des molécules antisens. Elle concerne en outre des vecteurs d'expression obtenus par génie génétique et des cellules hôtes pour la production de IGIF-2 purifié. Elle concerne aussi des anticorps, antagonistes et inhibiteurs, ainsi que des compositions pharmaceutiques et des méthodes de traitement à base de ce polypeptide, ses anticorps, antagonistes et inhibiteurs. L'invention concerne spécifiquement l'utilisation de ce polypeptide, en tant que substance thérapeutique pour des individus immuno-affaiblis, et en tant que contrôle positif de méthodes de diagnostic pour la détection de l'expression aberrante de IGIF-2, ou d'altérations de l'activité de leucocytes ou de lymphocytes.
