Fig. 6 shows another embodiment of the present inven-tion;
Fig. 7 shows a further embodiment of the present in-vention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring firstly to Fig. 4, taking Christmas lamps as an example, the present invention is also provided with two conductors 51, 52 in a Christmas lamp bulb 50 thereof, the conductors ~1, 52 are positioned by a burned bead 53, a tungsten filament 54 is provided on the top of the conductors 51, 52, the present invention is charac-CA 02207139 1997-06-0~ ' terized mainly in that, the outwardly extending ends 55, 56 of the conductors 51, 52 are bended to be close to the two lateral sides 58, 59 of a flat insertion connecting end 57 of the lamp bulb 50, meanwhile, two raised strips 570 are provided respectively on the front and the rear surfaces of the flat insertion connecting end 57, and an appropriate engaging protrusion 571 is provided on each of the two raised strips 570.
The above stated Christmas lamp bulb 50 can therefore be assembled in the connecting hole 61 of a connecting base 60, now the engaging protrusions 571 on the flat in-sertion connecting end 57 can be snaP engaged with two engaging lugs 64, 65 on the wall of the connecting hole 61; the outwardly extending ends 55, 56 of the conductors 51, 52 bended to be close to the two lateral sides 58, 59 of the flat insertion connecting end 57 are directly press connected with two internal power line metal sheets 62, 63 provided in the connecting hole 61 (referring to Fig. 5). Thereby, no intermediate (plastic) cap is re-quired as is the case of the above stated conventional structure.
In another embodiment such as is shown in Fig. 6, the present invention is also provided with a flat insertion connecting end 71 at the lower portion of the lamp bulb 70, the outwardly extending ends 74, 75 of two conductors 72, 73 provided therein are bended to be close to the two CA 02207139 1997-06-0~ -lateral sides of the flat insertion connecting end 71, so that they can be connected directly with two power line metal sheets 77, 78 provided in the connecting hole of a connecting base 76. In order to increase the capability of positioning of such insertion, the flat insertion connecting end 71 mentioned above can also be provided with two raised strips 79 and two engaging protrusions 791 rspectively on the front and the rear surfaces there-of. It can be seen from this embodiment that, the embodi-ment can save the four originally necessary internal me-tal contact sheets in conventional arts such as is the case of the first type of the ordinary miniature lamps.
In another embodiment of an elongated lamp such as that shown in Fig. 7, the present invention is also pro-vided with two conductors 81, 82 in the lamp bulb 80, the outwardly extending ends of the conductors 81, 82 are bended to be close to the two lateral sides of a flat in-sertion connecting end 83 of the lamp bulb 80, the whole lamp bulb 80 can therefore be assembled directly in the connecting hole 8~ with a metallic surface of a connect-ing base 84, and two raised strips 86 and two engaging protrusions 861 provided thereon can be snap engaged with two engaging lugs 87 on the wall of the connecting hole of the connecting base 84, the protruding sections of the conductors 81, 82 on the lateral sides are press contact-ed with the internal power line metal sheets 88, 89 to CA 02207139 1997-06-0~ ' thereby save a metal cap conventionally required at the bottom of the miniature lamp bulb 80.
In view that the miniature lamp sets available in the markets are almost mass produced, unit price thereof is . very low, so th~at their competitiveness and yield of pro-duction can both be increased, and because the present invention can save internal metal contact sheets or caps, it owns a great economic benefit in production, and thus has high industrial value.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to be secured by Letters Patent of the ~nited States is:
