la figure l est une vue schématique d'un dispositif d'aide au tir sans visée selon l'invention;
Targetless shooting aid.
The present invention relates to a shooting aid device without aiming with a small caliber weapon.
We see in current theaters of operation that majority of shots are made at close range and without the shooter has time to aim to engage his target.
These shooters therefore shoot without aim, either on trial or instinctively, either at the point, that is to say by aligning their weapon towards the target but without using the sights.
However, in these cases and especially during the shots instinctive, the majority of shooters do not touch the target, even at distances less than 10 m. Alone some trained shooters who "sense" the position of their weapon by relation to their body reach suitable results.
In order to try to solve this problem, laser pointers designs with the weapon are used.
The laser beam is however no longer visible by strong exterior brightness as in direct sunlight and / or with clear targets.
Even under correct visibility conditions, the range of laser beam, at least that in the visible spectrum, remains limited due to absorption.
A solution pr ~ conise to remedy these limitations consists in the use of laser rays in the spectrum ~ q ~ Y ~
- t visible or invisible, for example from laser beams infrared, with a light intensification system to see the radius in the scope.
This solution only works well at night. She permits then to see the laser beam over several hundred meters. Under penalty of major detoriation, during the day, the riflescope must be protected, which decreases all the more so.
In addition, this solution is expensive and requires a bulky and heavy device, which limits it operational use.
Currently, systems are being developed which implement uses different techniques for localization relative of the aiming axis of the weapon with respect to the head of the shooter wearing a helmet with a visor, and the projection of the line of sight on the visor. These systems are quite expensive and require a link between the weapon and the helmet and a permanent exchange of information between these two entities.
The object of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks by an aimless shooting aid device which is relatively simple and economical.
This object is achieved, in accordance with the invention by a aimless shooting aid comprising a pointer laser placed on the weapon and also comprising on the one hand a micro camera provided with means for locating the point impact of the laser beam of the pointer on the target by analysis of the received signal, and on the other hand a device for visualization of this point of impact in front of the shooter's eye, for example on a visor located in front of the eye of this shooter.
21 96 ~ 41 Although the micro camera could be mounted on the weapon, it is preferably mounted on the shooter, for example on a helmet or face mask.
In this case, no link is required between the weapon and the shooter.
For clarity, an exemplary embodiment of a aimless shooting aid device according to the invention is described below by way of illustration and without limitation, reference being made to the accompanying drawings in which:
Figure l is a schematic view of a device shooting aid without aim according to the invention;
figure 2 represents the image per, cue by the shooter when using the device according to the invention.
The aimless shooting aid device according to the invention shown in Figure 1 includes a first subset mounted on the weapon 1 and formed by a laser pointer 2, and a second sub-assembly which can be mounted on the weapon but preferably mounted on the shooter, more particularly on a helmet 3 or a face mask worn by this shooter, and which comprises on the one hand a micro camera 4 and on the other hand a display device 5.
The laser pointer 2 is of a known construction and is not not described in detail. It can be of the working type in the visible spectrum or of the type operating in the invisible spectrum and preferably has a power sufficient to reach a range of at least 100 to 150 meters.
The axis of the laser pointer 2 obviously coincides with the axis of screw of the weapon l.

The micro camera 4, of the CCD or other type, includes means for locating by analysis of the corresponding signals in the received image, the point of impact 6 of the laser beam 7 of the laser pointer 2 on target 8.
These means to locate the point of impact by analysis can be realized by existing technologies and do not are therefore not described in detail.
The display device 5 is coupled to the microphone camera 4 to receive information from this camera corresponding to the position of impact 6, and has means to transmit this information to the shooter in visualizing the impact 6 in front of his eye, especially projecting this impact as a crosshair 9 on a transparent screen 10.
This screen 10 is for example formed by a part of the helmet visor 3 or a face mask or is mounted on this visor or this mask.
There are a multitude of known possibilities currently concerning the projection method, by example using light emitting diodes or liquid crystals.
This aimless shooting aid works as follows:
The shooter directs his weapon 1 towards target B with the shooting assistance device in motion, and the laser pointer 2 projects a laser beam 7 onto this target 8 or its immediate surroundings.
The micro camera 4 films the environment or the landscape in front of the shooter and therefore also the laser beam 21 ~ 6441 . .
7 and its point of impact 6 on the target 8 or its surroundings immediate.
Using its localization means by analysis of the signal received, corresponding to the perceived image, the microphone camera 4 removes the position of the impact 6 and transmits this position to the viewing device 5 which projects in front of the shooter's eye, that is to say on screen 10, a reticle 9 at the corresponding place ~ the position of impact 6.
The shooter therefore sees in front of him the image shown in the Figure 6, that is, on the one hand, the target 8 and its immediate environment and possibly the laser beam 7, by direct vision through the visor, and on the other hand, the reticle 9 projected by the display device 5 on the screen 10 located in his field of vision.
The reticle 9 corresponding to the point of impact 6 of the ray laser 7 is juxtaposed with the image that the shooter sees directly and marks its point of aim. The shooter can so immediately correct his shot.
If the laser beam 7 is visible to the shooter, for example in dark and / or short-range weather, and the device is set correctly, the impact 6 of the laser beam 7 will appear in the shooter's field of vision in the same place as the reticle 9.
If the laser beam is no longer visible, only the reticle 9 will continue to appear in the field of vision, for as obviously as the micro camera 4 still detects the laser beam 7.
21 ~ 644i Detection by the micro camera 4 can possibly be improved by using one or more filters highlighting laser radiation by filtering other frequencies in the spectrum.
If the laser pointer 2 emits in the invisible spectrum, for example infrared, the laser beam 7 will be invisible for the shooter but visible for the micro camera 4 and the shooter will see in his field of vision the reticle 9.
The device could be used at night if the microphone camera 4 or another micro camera gives the shooter also a direct night image of the target and its environment, for example on the visor of the helmet 3, the reticle 9 being juxtaposed with this night image.
No hardware link is required between the two the above subsets, i.e. between the pointer laser 2, on the one hand, and the micro camera 4 and the device display S, on the other hand.
It is obvious that many modifications can be brought to the examples described above, without going out of the scope of the invention.
