The disclosure describes an apparatus, known in the sawmill industry under the name of feeder planks or trays, used to separate and move laterally, one by one, pieces of wood having at at least two parallel faces sawn or cut. These parts are first transported side by side to the device, on a single layer, by means of chains multiple carriers which move them transversely.
They are then entered individually upstream of the device by a mechanism consisting of a grapple, mounted on a rotary element which deposits them one by one downstream, by means of acceleration chains, on a group of reception chains fitted with cleats, thus ensuring controlled uniform feeding of a process manufacturing.
