Abstract

A railway truck and bearing adapter therefor has a rigid adapter supported with respect to a truck wheelset bearing or the like and is adapted to be received within a pedestal opening of a railway truck side frame or the like.
Resiliently deformable elastomeric means engage the rigid adapter and the truck side frame at the pedestal opening to support the side frame with respect to the rigid adapter.
The elastomeric means is resiliently deformable to restrain relative movements of the rigid adapter with respect to the side frame pedestal opening.
