The present invention relates to a hair holding device, in particular intended to allow the realization of a hairstyle comprising a "ponytail".
For this kind of hairstyle, we usually use one or more 5 elastic bands which are awkward to put on, unattractive, and of which hair removal can be painful.
It is also known to use a hair clip comprising a body on which an arm is articulated by one of its ends, this arm being intended to trap the hair between it and the body, when it is locked, by its other end, on the latter. This type of bar presents the disadvantages of being impractical to put in place in the hair and relatively limited in the volume of hair it can trap. Furthermore, These bars are of complex construction and of a high cost.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by providing IS a device to maintain the hair, which is practical to use, of a job faeile, and which allows the maintenance of a significant volume of hair, everything by being simple to carry out and of a low cost price.
At this end, this device comprises a curved body made of material elastically deformable, at the ends of which are articulated, by one 20 of their ends, two bars, themselves articulated to each other by their other end, the distance between the ends of the body being normal-slightly less than the sum of the lengths of the bars, when these are aligned.
The pivoting movement of the bars relative to the provo-25 that the elastic deformation thereof, deformation which is maximum when the bars are aligned. Outside of this position, the body tends to resume its normal shape, so that the bars are kept in position distant from the body, which corresponds to the open position of the device so that the introduction of the hair between the body and the barrettes is kept close to the body, which corresponds to the closed position of the device allows so much to imprison the hair.
The opening and closing of the device is therefore very easy -is lying. The relative rigidity of the body ensures effective locking of the bars in the closed position, and good hold of the device in the hair.
, ^ ~: ~ ..,. . , -.,. -According to a possible embodiment, the device is made of plastic, each of the joints of its different constituent elements being produced by engaging and clipping a finger, projecting from one elements and molded in one piece with it, in a hole 5 in the corresponding element.
Preferably, the articulation of one of the bars on one of the ends mites of the body is constituted by a finger integral with the body and projecting therefrom, around which engages and pivots a corresponding notch 8 ~ e in the bar Thus, in the open position of the device, the bar can be separated from the end of the body, which facilitates the introduction of hair d ~ ns the device, el take, in it, a large volume of hair.
According to a preferred embodiment of the device, the body and / or the bars are provided with teeth projecting inwards. The behavior of the device 1 ~ in the hair is thus strengthened.
Advantageously, the body and the bars are provided with teeth which ~ e overlap in the closed position of the device, the body comprising teeth which are offset from each other to allow overlap with bar teeth.
Anyway, the invention will be well understood using the description which follows, with reference to the attached schematic drawing representing, by way of example ple nonlimiting, a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Figure I is a perspective view;
Figure 2 is a front view in the open position;
Figure 3 is a sectional view of it 111-111 of Figure 2;
Figure 4 is a view similar to Figure 2, of device being in closed position.
Figures 1 to 4 show, from different angles, the device 1 which comprises a curved body 2 of decorative shape, made of elastically deformable plastic material, at the ends 2a, 2b of which are articulated, by one 3a, 4a of their ends, two bars 3,4 also in material plastic, themselves hinged to each other by their other end 3b, 4b.
One of the ends 2a of the body 2 has a projecting finger 5, come from molding with the body 2, and whose free end 5a is shouldered.

The end 3a of the bar 3, located on the side of the finger 5, includes a che 6 intended, as can be seen more particularly in the figures 2 and 4 to engage and pivot around finger 5. The articulation of the bars
3 and 4 relative to each other and the articulation of the bar 4 on the end S mite 2b of the body 2 are each produced by engagement and clipping of a finger 7, projecting from the bar 4, in a corresponding orifice formed in the end 2b of the body 2 and 3b of the bar 3 ~ the free end 7a of the finger 7 being widened to carry out the clipping. The ends 2a of the body 2 are machined in 9 so as to allow the articulation of the bars.
In addition, the body 2 and the bars 3,4 are provided with teeth, respectively vcment 10 and 11, projecting towards the inside of the device I and intended to ehevaueher when the bars 3,4 are close to the body 2 as the more particularly shows figure 4. To allow this overlap, teeth 10 are offset and shaped so as to delimit a space JS 12 authorizing the passage of the teeth 11.
Referring more particularly to FIG. 2, it appears that the distance separating the ends 2a and 2b from the body 2 is less than the sum lengths of the bars 3,4. If pressure on the bars 3,4 is exerted so as to bring their point of articulation to one another in the direction 20 of the body 2, an elastic deformation of the latter occurs. Figure 2 represents in dashed lines the maximum deformation of the body 2 which corresponds the alignment of the bars 3,4. Outside this position, the body 2 tends to resume its normal shape so that the bars 3, 4 are either kept in a position remote from the body 2 (FIG. 2), or kept near the body 25 (FIG. 4).
The invention operates as described below:
In the open position of the device 1, the notch 6 of the bar 3 can be removed from around finger 5 to facilitate the introduction of hair between the bars 3,4 and the body 2. After engagement of the notch 6 around finger 5, the bars 3,4 are pushed towards the body 2, which deforms.
The bars 3,4 then exceed their alignment position, so that the body 2 returns to its initial shape, which locks the bars 3,4 in position tion closed. Teeth 10 and 11 overlap and provide perfect support of the device in the hair. Traction on the bars 3,4 at the level 2a1! L 3 ~
of their articulation I one in relation to the other allows to open the device 1, and remove it from the hair.
