This invention relates in general to plumbing systems and more particularly to methods of mounting of water closets on the concrete floors.

Description
DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART
The conventional methods of mounting of water closets on concrete floors incorporate the use of closet ring or closet flange which relies on four or six screws for its stability. Such screws must be inserted into the concrete floor through various methods, all of which are time consuming and tedious. In the event such screws do not perform satis-factorily the water closet tends to break the wax seal through eventual wear.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
My device provides the means for anchoring of water closets to cement floors in a way that eliminates the need for closet ring screws without interfering with presently used arrangement of closet ring and stub out. The device is equally adaptable to ABSJ brass, lead, or cast iron nstallations to suit various building and plumbing codes.
By providing the means for anchoring of water closets to the concrete floor through a medium of conventional closet bolts rather than closet ring my water closet anchor offers a direct linkage with the concrete floorJ and this linkage is the substance of my invention.

CLAIM
A water closet anchor consisting of an outwardly directed horizontally extending lower flange to be embedded within a concrete floor, a vertically extending leg extending vertically upwardly from the inner edge of the lower flange, an inwardly directed horizontally extending slotted flange extending inwardly from the upper edge of the leg to be flush with the concrete floor when installed, and removable foam spacer strips located within the space bounded by the vertically b extending leg.
