Abstract

"CO-GERAÇçO DE ENERGIA ELÉTRICA POR APROVEITAMENTO DO PONTENCIAL TÉRMICO DE GASES DE CARBONIZAÇçO DE MADEIRA". Geração elétrica em turbinas movidas por expansão de gases quentes."CO-GENERATION OF ELECTRICITY BY LEARNING FROM THE THERMAL POTENTIAL OF WOOD CARBONIZATION GASES". Although the carbonization process of wood for charcoal production produces 10 kg of gas per ton of carbonized wood and the calorific value of this gas is 900 kcal / kg and the Brazilian charcoal production is 12 million tons / year and the utilization rate in "W / Kcal" is 1.16x10-üW / Kcal, which means an electric generation potential of 10,800 MW / year, the thermal potential of wood carbonization gases, until today, in the Brazil, is wasted through the burning and release into the atmosphere of their combustion gases. The object of this Patent, "CO-GENERATION OF ELECTRIC POWER BY TAKING THE HEATING POTENTIAL OF WOOD CARBONIZATION GASES", uses the calorific power and thermal potential of these gases, which come out hot from wood carbonization ovens, to generate electric energy in turbines that operate by expansion of hot gases, in this case atmospheric air, heated, under pressure, inside pressurized heat exchangers or by conventional steam generation in boilers coupled to steam turbines. These are the following advances in the state of the art achieved by this patent: 1. Generation and or cogeneration of electric energy by maximizing the thermal potential of wood carbonization gases; 2nd Obtaining gas supply for electric power generation continuously, to meet the needs of electric generation turbines, by introducing a hot or partially burned gas generating furnace to ensure the continuity of gas supply, which operates burning of any biomass, wood, charcoal and forest residues, increasing the productivity of the forest energy utilization system; 3rd Electric generation in conventional steam turbines; 4th Electric generation in turbines powered by hot gas expansion.
