Abstract

APARELHO DE CODIFICAÇçO REESCALONÁVEL E MÉTODO DE CODIFICAÇçO REESCALONÁVEL. A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho de codificação reescalonável em que a degradação da qualidade de som de um sinal decodi ficado pode ser evitada, enquanto a taxa de codificação e a escala do circuito podem ser reduzidas. Neste aparelho, uma parte de processamento de sinal de canal-L (105-1) usa a informação de espaço de canal-L para gerar um sinal de canal-L (L1) para produzir um sinal processado (L2) que é similar a um sinal monofônico (M1). Uma parte de combinação de sinal processado de canal-L (106-1) usa o sinal processado (L2) e um sinal de fonte de som (S1) gerado por uma parte de geração de sinal de fonte de som (104) para gerar um sinal combinado (L3). Uma parte de processamento de sinal de canal-R (105-2) e uma parte de combinação de sinal processado de canal-R (106-2) operam de modo similar. Uma parte de minimização de distorção (103) controla a parte de geração de sinal de fonte de som (104) para gerar tal sinal de fonte de som comum (S1) que a soma das distorções de codificação de sinais combinados (M2, L3, R3) é minimizada.
